5 Tabletop Crafts & Recipes for Independence Day

Welcome to the 352nd Tablescape Thursday!

I’m working on a table I’ll be sharing next week. With the 4th of July just a couple of weeks away, here are a few fun crafts, centerpieces and recipes you can make for your upcoming 4th of July table. Some of the centerpieces would work on a sideboard or buffet, too.

Click on the TITLE to access each tabletop craft, tutorial or recipe below.

Tablescape Thursday

If you are participating in Tablescape Thursday, please be sure to add your permalink below, and not your general blog address.

To get your permalink, click on your post name, then copy and paste the address showing in the address bar, into the “url” box when you link up. You’ll need to include a link in your post back to the party to link up and participate.

That’s so visitors to your blog will be able to find the party and the other Tablescape Thursday participants. Requiring a link back also prevents businesses from linking up to sell their products. (Yep, that really happens, unfortunately.)

Please, don’t add your post name/blog name ALL IN CAPS…it tends to create big spaces between the rows of links.

Please do not link up table settings that were just recently shared in the last few weeks for Tablescape Thursday.

  1. Love your Red, White and Blue line up and inspiration Susan! Your patriotic punch looks so refreshing this morning with our sweltering temperatures 🙂

  2. I just love your red white and blue nautical mix and bag centerpiece, one of my favorites! I thought of you and your fabulous star napkins the other day while shopping, I scored some placemats, white with big navy stars, and was so excited!! Thanks for the party and all the wonderful inspirations!

  3. Susan, you have some great ideas there for the 4th of July. I need to start focusing on that! Now let me go get some coffee, this is too early for me! ( I have become a terrible night owl!)

  4. It’s fun to see these posts together and I remember so many of them! I have to get myself going on a patriotic table. Great inspiration!

  5. Susan, I love all your patriotic posts! I’m going to make myself something cool, sit on my deck, and enjoy revisiting them! I know I’ll be inspired! Linda

  6. Great patriotic posts Susan. I am still loving the tote bag tablescape. Thanks for a great party !

  7. All of your tables are so great. This is one area that I am really lacking! Seems like we are always out boating on the 4th so never much for tables. I especially love your nautical bag centerpiece.
Have a wonderful week and thanks for partying!!

  8. Target has some cute things in their dollar section that would work in a “4th” tablescape or on a buffet table for a cookout as well as other decorations. They have little red, white and blue pails and small wooden signs with painted flags, sayings, etc. I took apart one that had USA and used that on my door wreath.

  9. Marlene Stephenson says

Those were some great ideas and helped kick start me for the 4th, thanks Susan.

  10. This is great to have all these patriotic holiday ideas all together–thanks.
But the flag pinwheels; I’ve gotta get me some of those! How awesome when a breeze spins them=kinetic art 😉

  11. Oh, Susan- your tablescapes always inspire. Thank you for that- and for hosting a true favorite linky party….glad to be able to join in on the fun this time around. Hugs.

  12. Very pretty red, white and blue Susan. Love, so much inspiration; but for the moment I have to think on my Father’s Day table and food, lol!
    Thanks for the great party.

  13. I can’t find my post even though I refreshed it. Weird!

Susan, this is totally unrelated to this post but I know you are a Sarah Richardson fan. In the July/Aug issue of Country Living magazine her design firm designed a brand new Lake Erie home; the article is Endless Summer. Maybe we will be seeing more of her! Enjoy!

    • Pat, thanks for letting me know…I need to pick up that issue! I wish they would give her a show on HGTV. I love the fabrics and wallpaper she uses…her style is so fresh and pretty!

  15. Hi Susan. I tried posting my tablescape again. I don’t think I did it right. Still having troubles learning this. Sorry!!!

    • Hey Lisa,
I took a look and it may not have worked because the link you put into InLinkz for your post was missing the “l” on the end. It was showing this: http://lisacharlesparsons.blogspot.com/2015/06/tablescape-july-4th-theme.htm
      instead of this: http://lisacharlesparsons.blogspot.com/2015/06/tablescape-july-4th-theme.html
In other words…the link that you entered for your post said htm on the end instead of html…so the link wasn’t working.
Also, InLinkz couldn’t find a link to the party in your post. Whenever you join in a blog party, you’ll want to include a sentence in your post that says, “I’m participating in Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps On The Porch here: https://betweennapsontheporch.net/” (minus the quotation marks, of course.)
That way when someone visits your blog, they will be able to find find the party and visit the other participants, too.
So, just double check the link you put into InLinkz for your post (when you’re linking up) to make sure it’s all there. And don’t forget to include a link back to the BNOTP blog so your readers or visitors will be able to find the party and the other participants. If you have any questions, let me know…I’m happy to help! 🙂
