    I love the colorful mosaic pot with the fern in it that was made by a friend of yours. I do this type of art and was wondering if you could tell me what type of pot was used. Was it a clay pot or some type of other material? If it was clay, did she paint it first so that moisture would not affect the mortar or glue used for the mosaic?

      It’s not the clay type, it was one of the lightweight pots that you so often see in HomeDepot and Lowes…the kind that almost feels like it’s made of styrofoam. I don’t believe she painted it first.
