In The BNOTP Library: A Fairy-Tale Christmas

Have you ever toured the Lyndhurst Castle in Tarrytown, New York? I haven’t but I would love to see it in person. Each year Designer, Bob Pesce, decorates each of the castle’s 15 main rooms in a fairy-tale theme. What an enchanting idea! I love it!

A Fairy-Tale Christmas by Karen Anderson

3 Things I Like About This Book:

  • Author, Karen Anderson, takes us inside each of the 15 rooms of the Lyndhurst Castle, each decorated in a different fairy-tale theme. The Fairy-tales featured are: Cinderella, Rumpelstiltskin, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Hansel and Gretel, Little Red Riding Hood, Snow-White, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, The Princess and the Pea, The Little Mermaid, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Peter Pan, A Christmas Carol, The Snow Queen and the The Nutcracker Ballet.
  • Book contains a lot of recipes that are also fairy-tale themed.
  • Some of the Christmas trees shown in this book are decorated in a neutral enough way that they provide ideas for decorating any tree. I would love to see this fairy-tale theme idea carried out in more detail with even more themed ornaments and decorations than Pesce used. Love this idea!

Do you know anyone who decorates their Christmas tree in a fairy-tale theme? wouldn’t that be fun to do one year?! I would imagine you would need to start the planning a bit early to collect all the ornaments and objects needed to complete a detailed fairy-tale themed tree.
