A Screen Makeover: Drab to Beachy Fab

If you read my earlier post today, you know I have fun day planned today!  I’ll be posting six (6) times today and each post will feature a wonderful “Before and After” project I’ve spotted during a previous Met Monday or from my travels around the Blogosphere.

Instead of lumping all the projects into one big post, I’ve created 6 small posts that will go up throughout the day at the following times: 7:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 3 PM and 5 PM.

So stop back by BNOTP during the day to catch the latest post.  You’re going to love all the Before and Afters!

Before and After Project No. 3:

Recently, Miss Kitty lightened up all the colors in her dining room.  The screen she had been using in one of the corners seemed a bit drab for the lighter pallet.  Time for a Makeover!  She mixed up her own chalk paint, using ingredients she already had.  Here’s the Before:

And here’s the After!  Sassy and Fun!  For all the details on how Miss Kitty layered the colors to achieve this effect, visit Miss Kopy Kat.

  1. Lovely! A great job, loving the color! Thanks Susan.

  2. I love the color choice! I can’t get enough of aqua/teal/turquoise! I wonder if in a few years I’ll look back and think “that was so 2012!”. Although I did use teal on my birthday invites when I turned 13, so maybe it’s just my personality:)

  3. I had seen some of the other changes that Gayle made in her dining room, but I had missed this screen. Thanks for showing it. The new color really does brighten up the room.

  6. Oh gosh, Susan! Thank you so very much for the honor of being featured for the screen metamorphosis! This is such an honor for me. I was wondering what I am going to do with that color when Fall and Winter come but I looked at the back of the screen and I think I can just paint the reverse side in another color for another season. Thanks, again.

I'd love to hear from you! Please leave a comment!
