In The BNOTP Library: Cape Cod Gardens and Houses by Taylor Lewis

After listening to The Outermost House on my drive home from Ohio yesterday, I have Cape Cod on the brain. I only have one book about that area and each time I read it, I have a great longing to see it in person.

Cape Cod Gardens and Houses

3 Things I Like About This Book:

  • Tons and tons of wonderful pictures of the gardens and homes of Cape Cod. The photos of the gardens and shore scenes are truly wonderful! I really like the photography because all the homes feel real and lived in. No sanitized austere interiors to be found, just real homes decorated with lovely collectibles and gorgeous antiques!
  • This isn’t just a photo tour of the exterior of the homes, we actually get to go inside! In addition to beach homes, the book takes us inside several homes decorated in classic, traditional decor.
  • So many gorgeous antiques! If you love the New England area and love seeing beautiful antiques, you’ll enjoy this book. If you haven’t been to the New England area or ever visited Cape Cod, this book will definitely make you want to go.

Comments

  1. When you do visit the Cape and area 😉 hopefully you can catch a house/garden tour, or two. We’d all love to see your photos.

  2. I have vacationed at Cape Cod numerous times and you would just love it! The antique shops alone are worth the trip. If you are going to stay for any length of time, I recommend the Chatham area…it is absolutely beautiful. Summer time traffic getting on and off the Cape can be a bit of a hassle…but if you visit during “off season” you won’t have any trouble.

  3. I’ve always dreamed of visiting Cape Cod too, Susan, and we’re finally going next year. I am so excited, and this book is the perfect way to start planning. I’m going to download the audio tonight. Thanks you so much!

    • Judy, I’m so jealous! I need to plan a trip there some summer. I want to see it so badly! Take lots of pictures and send some my way so I can see it through your eyes.

  4. Be still my heart!

I'd love to hear from you! Please leave a comment!
