In The BNOTP Library: China And Glass

While we continue enjoying all the beautiful table settings posted for today’s Tablescape Thursday, HERE, I’m sharing a book from my library that’s a dish lover’s dream. Even though it’s been four years now, I remember the day this book arrived. I had a feeling I would like it since I have other books by this author and love those, but I was positively elated as I flipped through it and realized how wonderful the pictures were throughout. It’s definitely one of my fave books to pull off the shelf and enjoy again and again.

China and Glass by Caroline Clifton-Mogg

3 Things I Like About This Book:

  • Wonderful pictures of beautiful table settings, china, crystal and all things table
  • Great chapters on displaying, storing and caring for china and glass. Loved seeing all the storage ideas and arrangements on china hutches, on walls and inside drool-worthy dish pantries and butler’s pantries.
  • If you love vintage or antique china and pottery, this book will make your heart race! So many beautiful patterns and lovely collections.

I would love to browse through your library, Susan. You have so many books it would never even occur to me to look for. This looks like a pretty book, but one that would offer helpful advice, as well. I’ve been enjoying these books you’ve shared. I only wish Amazon shared more of the interior photos. I know it’s up to the publisher, but when I visit the link there usually aren’t any extra photos and these are the very sorts of books that would probably benefit from showing more samples. If you’ve picked them, I’m sure they’re all beautiful inside. Thanks for sharing this one.

    • Thanks, Pam! I love finding the hidden gems. I know, I wish they did, too. It would surely help the books to sell better. Also, the pictures they choose to show sometimes are not very good or indicative of what’s really inside the book. Have no idea how they select them for some of their books. I’ve noticed it’s mostly the older books that don’t have previews…most of the newer books do so they seem to be improving that.

I'd love to hear from you! Please leave a comment!
