English Country by Caroline Seebohm

3 Things I Like About This Book:

  • I’m not sure why the description on Amazon calls this a “little book” because it’s not. It measure 10.5 x 10.2, which is a nice size with large pictures. Photography is wonderful! It feels intimate and cozy giving you a real feel for the homes featured in the book. Pictures are large with lots of close-ups so you can really appreciate the beautiful rooms and furnishings.
  • Who doesn’t love getting a peek inside private homes you would normally never have the opportunity to see. The homes are wonderful and range from modest cottages to grand manor homes. The libraries, the gardens, the antiques…take a heart pill before opening this book!
  • Besides getting to see inside so many beautiful homes, I love the features on chintz, English pottery, the sporting life and the dollhouses included in this wonderful book.

This book is definitely one of my favorites on the English Country home. If you love English homes and English design, you’ll be oohing and ahhing over each page.
