Decorate a Porch or Sunroom for Autumn

Welcome to the 351st Metamorphosis Monday!

Earlier this year in June, I shared Linda’s beautiful 3-season porch. You may remember that this space was once a concrete pad with just a pergola overhead. Linda and her hubby transformed it into a porch they now enjoy almost all year-long.

They kept this room and the adjoining living room light and bright by using a clear, acrylic roof overhead that doesn’t reduce the natural light they love.

I love how Linda decorates her porch for the summer!  If you missed my first post about Linda’s beautiful 3-season porch, you’ll find a link to that post at the end of this one.

When fall comes around, Linda transforms her porch with the rich colors of the autumn season. What a beautiful fall centerpiece for the dining space on this wonderful porch!

The porch seating area gets a makeover with a change in pillows and the addition of pretty flowers in autumn yellow.

The fabulous sailboat Linda had on this table for summer is tucked away until next year and Linda decorates this space with nature’s gifts: pretty autumn leaves and natural seed pods. Different lamps reflect the new fall/winter season, too.

Such a beautiful autumn arrangement for this corner!

Thanks so much to Linda for sharing her beuatiful porch all decorated for fall. This inspires me to get busy and add some fall decor to my porch once I’m back home.

  1. What a nice room. Love the fall touches she added especially the two trays she decorated. I’m enjoying the pictures you’re sharing from Italy!

  2. Love Linda’s porch and that acrylic sure would be a nice substitute for all the heavy glass we have on a similarly styled roofline in our sunporch.
I hope you’re having another fabulous trip, Susan. Thank you for continuing to host us, even while you are on vacation.

I love how she decorated her porch. I especially like the pumpkin centerpiece on her table. Really stunning. I had thought to take a picture of my dining table centerpiece but my Siamese, Misha, keeps taking out the little pumpkins and gourds (all fake) to play with and some have disappeared and the berries on the sunflower picks have been chewed on! I never catch her on the table so she mainly does her dirty work at night or when I am gone! Little sneak! Hope you are having fun!

  9. I miss my covered porch in the winter. We are only screened in…our little electric fireplace only takes us so far. Plus the couch isn’t nearly as comfortable when it’s covered in snow! 😉 Thanks for the party. Hope it’s a great week!

  10. So envious of that gorgeous porch and that furniture!!! Thanks for the party!

  15. I’m SO happy to see this beautiful porch because this is the exact roof I was thinking we’d need to have ( to allow light into our dining room which is already dark ) It’s just beautiful !
And thanks so much for the party – hope you have a great week Susan !

  16. I have to admit that I have porch envy! Wonderful space that can be enjoyed through so much of the year! Thanks for hosting. Have you been pinched yet?!

  17. Beautiful! We use our porch almost year round. Nothing better! Thanks for sharing this wonderful space.

  18. So pretty! I love all the little touches of flowers and leaves. That pumpkin throw pillow on the rocking chair looks really cute! We’ve been working on building a deck this summer/fall. We designed it so that we can add a future screen room. Can’t wait until next year when we can start decorating it. Thanks for the inspiration!

  19. Thanks for hosting Susan!

  20. What a pretty fall porch, love all the natural touches. Thanks so much for hosting Susan.

Would love to know where they got the acrylic panels, we are in the process of building a roof over our back porch but did t want it closed in I wanted natural light.
