Fruit Infusion Pitcher, Love This Thing!

Pssst: Little Reminder, I’ll be posting photos periodically each day on Instagram while I’m in Holland and Belgium. If you would like to follow along on this adventure, be sure to follow me on Instagram here: Between Naps On The Porch on Instagram.  Instagram is the easiest way for me to share something with you in real time. 🙂

Recently while shopping in Marshalls, I came across an Infusion Pitcher. Have you seen these? It came with three pieces as seen below.

Infusion Pitcher for Flavored Water

The way it works is you put whatever type fruit you would like inside the little slotted cylinder that comes with the pitcher, then you slide the cylinder down inside the pitcher in the spot that’s designed to hold it.

Fill Infusion Pitcher with Fruit

You don’t need to squeeze the fruit in advance, just cut it up, put it in the cylinder and slide the cylinder down inside the pitcher.

Fruite Infusion Pitcher

Add water and in about an hour, you will have the best tasting water! I couldn’t wait and poured a glass right away. I could taste the lemon/lime flavor, but it was subtle since I had just added the water. I waited about an hour and tried again and it was much stronger. It was delicious! Over the day, the flavor became even more intense. It was really good, I loved it! This little pitcher definitely has me drinking more water.

BPA Free Infusion Pitcher

My pitcher also came with another little container that can be filled with water, frozen, then put inside the pitcher to keep the water extra cold. This would be a great idea if you wanted to take your pitcher outside for dining outdoors or to have near a pool. I didn’t use the ice container since I just placed my water in the refrigerator to keep it cool.

I loved the lemon/lime combination, but I also want to try it with strawberries or peaches. I wonder how cucumber would taste? I bet mint would be good, too! I found my pitcher in Marshalls but there are tons of them available here if you would like to try one: Infusion Pitcher

Infusion Pitcher, BPA Free

Do you have one of these pitchers? What’s your favorite fruit or combination of fruits to use?

  1. I sent my friend Robin an infusion glass from the Neiman Marcus site, but have not seen this pitcher. What a great idea!

    Big Texas Hugs,
    Susan and Bentley

  2. I have a friend who serves the cucumber water with her Christmas buffet and it is different.

Have a wonderful trip and enjoy the tulips for all of us. Right now KC is just beautiful with the dogwoods, azalea’s, and other spring blooms. We also just had a wonderful several day rain and everything is looking so beautiful. We were so dry. Now if the winds would calm a little.

  3. Getting excited? When you post on Instagram, will the post also show on the BNOTP blog? We don’t have Instagram (no smart phone either) but I would hate to miss this trip’s photos.

    • From one Grandmom to another…..I think you can just click on the Instagram here, keep to your saves and then click daily to find new stuff.

Am I right all you techies out there? Help out two still with it Grammies,
please. Is there an easier way?

Of course, we could just wait for Susan to return and she posts all her wonderful px from this fabulous trip.

    • Paula, the pics I post on Instagram won’t show on the blog, but there’s WiFi on the ship so I think I’ll be able to post each day. If you click on that link to go to Instagram, you’ll be able to see the pics I’m posting there each day. I’ve already started…in airport now. ✈ ☺ Anyone can sign up for Instagram, even if you don’t ever post a photo. If you do sign up, you can click on the menu bar in the right hand corner of a photo I post and turn on post notifications, which means it will send you a little message when a new picture is available to view. Hope that helps explain it a bit.

Susan, I hope you eat lots of great food, meet absolutely delightful people, have good weather and see lots and lots of beautiful sites on your trip! Have fun!

  5. Can’t wait to see you photos Holland and Belgium.
I need to go to Home Goods to try and find that pitcher. Will make drinking water easier during the day. I sure do not drink enough.

Have a wonderful trip, hope the weather cooperates with you and that you are dry and warm.

I have had one similar to this for a couple of years and I love it! I like to use cucumber slices in mine. The citrus fruits (limes, lemons, oranges) all have been great, too. You will love it. So convenient and keeps me drinking more water every day. Enjoy!

  7. I have been wanting to get one of these. Thanks for the reminder! 🙂

  8. I agree that cucumber is very good. A vegan restaurant I occasionally go to serves their water with a thin slice of cucumber in it. Very refreshing. I ordered my pitcher from QVC and it’s quite nice and holds a gallon of water. It fits in the door of most newer ‘fridges that are designed to hold a gallon of milk and it has a nice shape. Check it out ….

  9. Marny Fischer says

Does anyone have concern about the plastic vs glass?

My intake of soda has declined and must drink water instead … this might make water more palatable.

  10. Oranges! Years ago at a bed and breakfast, the owner had glass pitchers of water with crushed ice and round orange slices sitting out every afternoon with the tea and snacks. That orange flavored water was so refreshing after sightseeing and shopping. Now whenever I have a party I have a pitcher of ice water and oranges. Thanks for showing us the infusion pitcher.

  11. Nice pitcher, esp for a get together. I actually slice my lemons (2) every couple days and use 2 squeezed slices per mug (about 24 oz). If my water stands (I get busy and distracted), then the rinds make it taste bitter, it seems. Not sure I’d like the jug with rinds on side. Cucumber water is delish, but I feel same way about them standing too long in the water. It can get bitter. Gosh, I’m realizing I’m a bit of a water snob…..said the girl who lived through WV’s water crisis of Jan 2014, where our main water source was contaminated by a local company (who pretty much got away with the crime). I would definitely use one of those for a gathering though. It looks cool. 🙂 Be safe on your trip, Susan!

  12. Well that’s it I am going to get an infusion pitcher for sure~~! Have a fun trip abroad, and bring home lots of good memories:)

  13. Marlene Stephenson says

Love my fruit infusion pitcher and all the different fruits you can add. Try fresh pineapple. Have fun on your trip, will be waiting for those pictures.

  14. My favorite is cucumber water. Citruses are always good, too , as is mint!

  15. Sounds like a great way to get myself and my kids to drink more water. I’ve never seen one of those pitchers before. Thanks for sharing.

  16. I love mine. I have tried apples, lemons, cherries, oranges and will try peaches when in season.

  17. I have an infusion water bottle that I found at TJ Maxx and I love it when I’m on the treadmill. Fruit or cucumber in water is just more refreshing. I mentioned the pitcher to my husband and he remarked, ‘so what’s so bad about just putting the fruit in the pitcher like when you make lemonade’. I have to admit he got me. Since I’ve only been using the water bottle I was wondering if the infusion pitcher keeps the water ‘clearer’ or less murky than if the fruit were sitting in the bottom of the pitcher? Other advantages?

  18. Bed Bath & Beyond have them for about $20. With the fruit or ice holders going right down the center of the pitcher. Harry & David (are they still around?) have a large size, but you need almost a half gallon of water befroe you can even reach the fruit. My favorite combos are Cucumber,Strawberry & Basil, or Orange & Strawberry. Cantaloupe is also good alone, or paired with Strawberry. The flavor is better if you prepare it at night for the next day

  19. Last summer I began my adventure with infusion. I am not a big water drinker, so this was a big perk and incentive for me to hydrate.
In my tall plastic glass with a straw I combines cucumber with fresh mint(pulverized mint with the straw). My favorite is fresh strawberry slices with pulverized fresh basil. Would be great in the infusion pitcher.
    Refresh yourself and enjoy, Susan.

  20. I have the exact same pitcher. In addition to lemon, I love to add mint. I get it from the store and never use it all at one time, so to keep it from spoiling I freeze it. Then when I make my water, I just put the frozen mint in with the lemons. 🙂
