Postcards from the Porch: The BNOTP Newsletter

Welcome to the 214th Metamorphosis Monday!

I have a fun and exciting little metamorphosis to share this week for Metamorphosis Monday.  For a while I’ve been thinking about putting together a newsletter to send out each week to those Dearhearts who would enjoy receiving a little something extra from time to time.  I finally decided it was time to quit thinking about it and just do it.

Every newsletter needs a name so I’m calling it, Postcards from the Porch.  I’ll be keeping it short and sweet so the name, Postcards from the Porch seemed to fit just right. :)   I’m really excited about it because I think it will be a neat way to share those things that are sometimes difficult to share in a post.

Postcards from the Porch

I was up to the wee hours of the morning learning my way around MailChimp, the program I will be using to create Postcards from the Porch.  I’m so looking forward to sending a little sunshine to your Inbox each week.

How to Sign Up for the Between Naps on the Porch Newsletter:

*If you would like to receive the BNOTP newsletter, Postcards from the Porch in your Inbox, you can sign up using the little sign-up link below.

When you click to sign up, you’ll enter your e-mail and you’ll immediately receive a confirmation e-mail in your Inbox with a button that you’ll need to click to confirm you do wish to receive, Postcards from the Porch.  If you don’t see your confirmation email within just a few minutes (it’s normally instantaneous) check your “spam” folder to see if it got caught there.

If at any time you change your mind, it’s easy to unsubscribe because each newsletter will have a spot right at the bottom that will say “unsubscribe.”

If you have any problems signing up, drop me an e-mail me at betweennapsontheporch@gmail dot com and I’ll be happy to add your name to the newsletter list.  Please be sure to include the e-mail address where you wish to receive the BNOTP newsletter.   I don’t think you’ll have any problems signing up at the link below, though.  I tested it out and it seemed to work just fine.  :)

I hope to send out the first newsletter later this week, probably on Saturday, so be sure to sign up this week if you would like to be included in the first mailing of Postcards from the Porch.

Looking forward to all the fabulous Before and Afters for this Met Monday!

Metamorphosis Monday:

If you are participating in Metamorphosis Monday you will need to link up the “permalink” to your MM post and not your general blog address. To get your permalink, click on your post name, then just copy and paste the address that shows up in the address bar at the top of your blog, into the “url” box for InLinkz.

In order to link up, you’ll need to include a link in your MM post back to the party so the other participants will have an opportunity to receive visits from your wonderful blog readers.

Please observe these few rules:
Only link up Before and After posts that are home, gardening, crafting, painting, sewing, cooking, DIY related.
Do not link up if you’re doing so to promote a website or product.
Do not link up a post that was just linked last week since a lot of readers will have already seen that post.
Do not type in ALL CAPS.  It spreads the links waaaay out.

  29. Doreen@househoneys says:

    Hi Susan,

I tried twice and checked spam but it’s not working. I signed up with my personal email which I don’t want to post here but you should have it.

    • Doreen, not sure if your you originally signed up with an aol address. I’m not sure why but I’m getting a lot of emails from folks who aren’t getting a confirmation if they have an aol email address but when I check, they are signed up. Weird, huh? So if you find you’re getting two newsletters when it goes out, you may want to unsubscribed one of you addresses.

  30. Susan, I’m sure it’s me but having trouble getting to the web site about the postcards. I think I need some help. Thanks.
