Lunch En Route to Sorrento

Welcome to the 369th Tablescape Thursday!

I’m on the road…on the way to Sorrento, headed for the Amalfi coast. We just stopped for a fast lunch.

Update: I’m in the hotel on my laptop so now I can type a bit more. I have my days all mixed up…didn’t realize it was TT until I was en-route to Sorrento, but at least I managed to get this photo uploaded from my mobile phone and schedule the post. The days all seem to run together on this trip, especially with the six hour time difference.

I think this was pork tenderloin, potatoes and couscous. It was delish!

Looking forward to the wonderful tables posted for this Tablescape Thursday!

If you are participating in Tablescape Thursday, please be sure to add your permalink below, and not your general blog address.

To get your permalink, click on your post name, then copy and paste the address showing in the address bar, into the “url” box when you link up. You’ll need to include a link in your post back to the party to link up and participate.

That’s so visitors to your blog will be able to find the party and the other Tablescape Thursday participants. Requiring a link back also prevents businesses from linking up to sell their products. (Yep, that really happens, unfortunately.)

Please, don’t add your post name/blog name ALL IN CAPS…it tends to create big spaces between the rows of links.

Please do not link up table settings that were just recently shared in the last few weeks for Tablescape Thursday.

Looks delicious! Is that pork tenderloin? We’re cooking it on the grill this weekend and shooting for Tuscan-style flavor..hoping rosemary in the marinade will do the trick ; )

  4. I am excited for you! I have been to both Sorrento and the Amalfi coast and fell in love with every curve and beautiful view. Truly one of the prettiest spots on earth.

    Big Texas Hugs,
    Susan and Bentley

  5. It looks like you are being fed well! I hope you are enjoying every minute of your journey!

    • Thanks, Liz! That meal was actually one of those we do on our own. I had no idea they were going to cut three pieces of meat when I pointed to it. I was only able to eat two and that was one more than I needed! I know I’ve gained some lbs this trip!

  6. I love Sorrento and I love their inlaid wood furniture. I bought a curio from there with free shipping all the way to US. I asked you earlier cause I am curious. Did your Kimbriella roller bag fit under the plane seat? Enjoy the rest of your trip, Susan…Christine

    • Hi Christine, It didn’t totally. Part of it did but it’s a tad too tall. I probably should have put it in the overhead bin, but I wanted access to my laptop to watch the movie, Under the Tuscan Sun, on the way to Italy. So, I kept it down on the floor with me. It’s worked great on this trip.

  7. One of my most favorite set of dishes I got in Sorrento. You are having quite a wonderful trip that will stay with you for some time.

  11. Hoping for lots of Amalfi coast photos. We just took a little getaway for 2 nights, and I packed way more than you did for Africa! Made me laugh…at myself.

  12. Lucky lady!! We loved Italy and know you will, too! Thanks for taking the time to host TT!
