I will send you all the free acorns you want so you don't have to buy them from Amazon!!! We have 2 humungous oak trees in our yard that dump tons of acorns each year! I'll happily throw in a handful of Chinese chestnuts, too! 🙂 Beautiful post this evening. Very relaxing. It is definitely getting to be hot chocolate weather!

Hi! Thanks for hostessing the party. My 12-y-o son and I looked at your beautiful pictures, and we decided we would like to sit together on the swing, please, with the lovely throw over our laps … and we were so excited about the hot chocolate, and we noticed in the pics that when we finished our hot chocolate, you always refilled it for us, which made us very happy. So thank you for the lovely time on that gorgeous porch 🙂

    Hugs,
    Mary @ Redo 101

    Susan,
Grab another cozy throw and join me on your porch! I've so much to share with you about my recent vacation…and you've been very busy, indeed. We've got some catching up to do! I'll bring the marshmallows for the hot chocolate, dear!

  15. Susan (Between Naps on the Porch) says

Fig, it's really different each time. Sometimes I may buy something with an idea how I'll use it or, just buy it because I really love it…then get it home and start thinking about how I'll use it. Other times, like this evening, I may have a desire to do a particular type table setting. I really wanted to do something for the fall season tonight. So I just peeked into the cupboards and started pulling out a few fallish things. I hadn't planned on using the acorns I just purchased from Amazon but they ended up finding their way into this little hot chocolate 'scape. Wish I had a better answer. Inspiration can come from so many places: the dishes, the time of year (season/holiday) or even something as simple as a little trinket or treasure I am itching to use on a table.
