Whimsical Lenox Nutcrackers In An Elegant Christmas Table Setting

Welcome to the 744th Tablescape Thursday! Do you ever shop for Christmas collectibles or Christmas decorations in the after-Christmas sales? I never think to do that but after hearing about the amazing find Warren and his wife, Kathie, came across last year, I think I need to start!

Warren said, “Kathie and I prowl the stores after Christmas looking for decorating bargains. Last year, The Christmas Shop had Lenox Nutcracker figurines marked down from $50 to $10. I bought six with the expectation I could use them in a tablescape.”

Wow, what an incredible find! Warren created a wonderful table setting for Christmas this year, incorporating the nutcrackers into his centerpiece.

Such an elegant table with elements of silver and gold!

I would definitely feel like a King or Queen dining at this beautiful candlelit table. The crown salad plates are by Muirfield. The gilded dinner plates are Hutschenreuther and the chargers are from HomeGoods. The gold flatware was purchased in Lancaster, PA many years ago.

The stemware is equally stunning and pairs beautifully with the place setting.

Warren brought all the reds together with his choice of candles, the table runner, and napkins. I love the sparkle of the candles, perfect for a Christmas holiday table setting!

I really love these nutcrackers! I had no idea Lenox made these. Have you seen these before or do you collect them?

I wonder if the nutcrackers are part of an ongoing collection where they release one or two per year. Such a wonderful find to catch them in an after-Christmas sale!

Wow! I have never seen those nutcrackers. Plus, what an elegant and interesting table. I certainly would feel special dining at that table! I do shop the “after Christmas” sales, usually for wrapping paper and those pretty printed gift boxes. Last year I acquired a lot of those boxes in several sizes, enough to last for several more years! In fact, I was surprised when I pulled it all out of the closet this year. I had forgotten just how many I purchased. They are folded flat, of course, and easily stored and forgotten. But my dear hubby gets the award for forgetting a sale purchase: last year he bought two large rolls of nice foil wrapping paper. He put those in the back of the closet. This year, he came home with two large rolls of nice foil wrapping paper. You guessed it—they are the exact same designs he bought on sale last January! Needless to say, we are set for a few years!

I am such a fan of nutcrackers. I have never seen the Lennox ones. When I searched for them they are $79. each. What a lovely table. I really like it. I will now keep an eye open for these nutcrackers as I hope in the near future to do a nutcracker tree and that would be nice on the table.

  5. I have never heard of or seen these Lenox Nutcrackers either, Susan. What a bargain Warren and Kathie got on those! They really do make for a unique and artful centerpiece. I love all the elements of the centerpiece, the nutcrackers, the candelabras and the trees. And that table runner looks stunning against the gold tablecloth. Very elegant table, Warren (as usual.) I hope you and Kathie had a lovely Christmas and Happy New Year to all at BNOTP. 😀

  6. That’s a lovely table – Warren always does it up right! So fun to find the nutcrackers. I’m even more inspired to do some after Christmas shopping! Thanks to both of you for sharing, and Happy New Year!

  7. I did not know that Lenox did Nutcrackers figures, these are really beautiful! And what a deal Warren and Kathie found. I am not a Black Friday shopper or an after Christmas shopper. Never have been, it’s to crazy out there for this country bumpkin. But I know people have found some serious deals this way. Love Warren’s table! It is just breathtaking! The gold, the red, the nutcrackers….definitely perfect for Christmas! So elegant, classy and just down right gorgeous, who wouldn’t want to eat at this table?! Although I’d be afraid I’d spill something. lol Hugs, Brenda

  8. Gorgeous table! And no, I didn’t know Lenox made nutcrackers (it’s a good thing because I’ve bought other Christmas stuff on sale and at this rate will need another storage bin, ugh!!).
Happy new year to you, Susan. Wishing you good health and safe travels.

  9. An exquisite table! Thank you for sharing.

  10. I will be on the lookout for those Nutcrackers since they are the usual theme of my every Christmas. I have some on my mantle and others on my Christmas tree (small ornaments) not to mention paper napkins, plates etc. Nice job Warren and thankyou for letting us take a peak!
