Welcome to the 413th Tablescape Thursday!
Pssst: From time to time I get questions about the items used in table settings here at BNOTP and if they are still available. If there’s an item you’ve previously seen in a table setting, if I can find that item still available online, I will add it to the “SHOP-Favorites for the Table” category at the top of the blog. So if you’re ever looking for an item you remember seeing in a previous table, check there for a quick link to that item.
Tablescape Thursday
Recently Gina shared some photos with me of a beautiful table she created for a summer dinner with family. I loved it and couldn’t wait to share it with you!
Though it’s a summer table setting, the predominant color of orange in this setting makes it such a perfect table for transitioning into fall, too.
Love this beautiful vase! Le Jardinier is French for, “The Gardener” and Jardin means “Garden.” Gina found it in Michaels.
Aren’t these pewter candle sticks stunning?! They are vintage and Gina found these lovely pieces on eBay. It’s amazing the treasures you can find there!
Orange plates make such a perfect backdrop for the beautiful bird and butterflies salad plates. Gina found her salad plates HERE but not sure if they are still available now. The orange plates are from Dollar Tree.
I love how she layered her chargers. The brown rattan charger grounds the place setting and makes such a great contrast for the rest of the colors in the setting. The rattan chargers are available here: Rattan Chargers and the white chargers are available here: Carved White Chargers
The stemware is vintage crystal that Gina has collected over the years.
Much to the delight of Gina’s dinner guests, the bees have flown right off the salad plates and have landed on the flatware! 🙂 You’ll find this adorable bee flatware available here: Bee Flatware. It’s also available with gold accents here: Bee Flatware with Gold Accents
These darling birdie salt and pepper shakers are currently on sale and you’ll find them here: Birdie Salt and Pepper. Gina found her beautiful, floral placemats, napkins and her table runner in Word Market.
I love these sweet cordials! They are vintage Degenhart Pinwheel glassware.
A huge thanks to Gina for sharing this beautiful table with us! I know her family must have been absolutely delighted when they saw this wonderful table setting she had prepared for them.
This table is such a lovely example of how we can gradually collect pieces over the years as we find them, then pull them all together to create a beautiful table setting. If you collect what you love and what speaks to your heart, you’ll be surprised and delighted to find how those individual pieces all work together when decorating or when setting a table for family and friends. I love how that works!
Thanks again to Gina for sharing this beautiful summer table, a table that’s perfect for this time of year when we’ll soon be transitioning into fall.
Looking forward to all the beautiful tables posted for this week’s Tablescape Thursday!
If you are participating in Tablescape Thursday, please be sure to add your permalink below, and not your general blog address. To get your permalink, click on your post name, then copy and paste the address showing in the address bar, into the “url” box when you link up. You’ll need to include a link in your post back to the party to link up and participate.
That’s so visitors to your blog will be able to find the party and the other Tablescape Thursday participants. Requiring a link back also prevents businesses and scammers from linking up to sell their products. (Yep, that really happens, unfortunately.)
Please, don’t add your post name/blog name ALL IN CAPS…it tends to create big spaces between the rows of links.
So many pretty elements on her table. I love the plates with the birds on them. Thank you for sharing!
Gina, tablescape is lovely. I’m crushing over the vase. Wonder if she has some more details. Orange is not an easy color to pull off, but this table hits all the marks. I’m going to pin some images. I have several sets of dishes with orange.
Sarah, I just heard from Gina and she said she found the beautiful vase in Michaels. 🙂
I love this..unique and beautiful!
Gina’s table is beautiful. I love the way the oranges pop, and the blue bird plates stand out against the orange. Her table is an inspiration. Thank you, Susan and Gina, for sharing it.
Susan, I love Gina’s Tablescape…so pretty! Thanks so much for hosting! Happy Thursday, Pam @ Everyday Living
Your feature is beautiful! Love those colors!
So very enchanting! I love birds and the use of the orange is surprising but gorgeous! I do sunflowers for August as a transition to fall. Tablescaping is a passion for me!
Gorgeous colors!!
Love the tiger lilies. Gives me an idea for using my lilies in arrangement for the the church. Thanks.
Where can I find the bunny with a basket on his back, in your Easter table scape?
Do you mean the one with the basket on his back? I also have one that’s white that’s carrying a basket in front, that I purchased this past spring, but I’ve only used him once in a table, so I’m guessing you’re talking about the one with the basket on his back. He came from a local gift shop a few years ago. I don’t think he’s available now since that was several years ago. The artist who made him was Marjolein Bastin and you can see her website here: http://www.marjoleinbastin.com/en
Springtime each year is when all the bunnies start appearing in the stores, so that’s a good time to look for them. Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma had several this past Spring. They weren’t quite the same as the one I have by Marjolein, but they were really cute with baskets on their backs. I linked out to a bunch of them in previous posts, not sure if there are any still left on those site, though. Definitely keep your eye out when spring rolls around again if you haven’t found one somewhere else by then.
Also, check on eBay…you may luck out and find one there.
Very pretty Fall table.
Thank you for the party!
Big Texas Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
Very pretty! So timely cause I am creating a transitional table right now…Christine
Love the soft oranges in Gina’s transitional table! Thanks for the party Susan-
First thing that jumped out at me were the candlesticks! Beautiful tablescape!
Linda
I am so ready for fall and love Gina’s table setting. The weather in Ireland ruins you for this hot stuff. lol!!
This table is just beautiful! I have it pinned, right along with your lovely ones. I love all the elements of this table, and I agree with another comment, that orange is a hard color to pull off, other than at Halloween. This was a delight! Thanks for sharing it, Susan.
The Summer table is really beautiful. I specially love those dinner plates.
The arrangement is gorgeous but to tall, maybe for the side table buffet.
Thank you for the inspiration.
FABBY
Love the color combination…such a pretty setting! Great centerpiece, too.
What a lovely, gentle way to transition into fall. Orange can be so challenging and Gina totally embraced it with fabulous results. I love the linens, mercury glass and cordial glasses, but everything is absolutely gorgeous!
Beautiful tablescape!! Thanks so much for hosting!!
Hugs,
Deb
