A Peacock-Themed Christmas Tree & A Festive Laundry Room

Recently I shared the beautiful Christmas ornaments, Norma, a lovely BNOTP reader, painstakingly makes each year for her Christmas tree. Each year, Norma chooses a different theme/color scheme for her tree. This year she chose a Peacock them and her ornaments turned out beautifully! (To view a brief tutorial sharing how Norma makes her ornaments, check out this previous post: Handmade Christmas Ornaments Inspired by the Beautiful Colors of the Peacock.)

Handmade Ornaments Ready for Decorating

Norma graciously shared photos of how her tree looks this year decorated in a Peacock theme and beautifully adorned with the ornaments she so lovingly made. It is stunning!

Norma’s Christmas tree sits directly across from large glass-paned doors so the light is washing out the colors a bit, but I still think you can see how stunningly beautiful her tree turned out this year!

Here are a few closeups, I love the peacock ribbon running throughout the tree. Notice how Norma curls her ribbon to create beautiful designs. Love that!

Notice all the beautiful peacock ornaments–perfection!

Norma created a fabulous peacock-themed topper for her Christmas tree.

She even decorated all her gifts in this gorgeous peacock theme! Sooo beautiful! Even the gift tags are embellished with a peacock design!

Norma carried her gorgeous peacock theme right over to her mantel and it is absolutely beautiful! I’m just in awe of how beautiful this is!

I love how Norma decorated the lanterns on the hearth to continue her peacock theme!

Thanks so much to Norma for opening the doors of her lovely French cottage and inviting us in for a tour of her beautiful Christmas decor this year. I can’t wait to see what she’ll do next year–whatever theme she chooses, I  know it will be gorgeous!

Lorelei’s Christmas Laundry Room

A few months back I shared a makeover Lorelei completed for her laundry room.

Laundry Room Before and After, Makeover

It turned out beautifully! If you missed that previous post, you’ll find it here: Laundry Room Renovation/Makeover.

Laundry Room Makeover, After

Lorelei added a bit of Christmas cheer to her laundry room this year! I love all the beautiful lighting!

If my laundry room looked like this, I would actually make excuses to do the laundry! Seriously!

I’ll leave you with this view of Lorelei’s beautiful living room. Thanks so much to Lorelei for sharing how she decorated this year for the Christmas holidays!

Merry Christmas!

I love how Norma did her ribbons – so beautiful – I love the colors! I can never get past the red and gold traditional decor at my house – I would love to branch out and change it up a little bit – so lovely Norma!!!

Lorelei’s house is gorgeous too – the laundry room is amazing – I think I would be having a glass of wine in there while doing my laundry. The living room looks so pretty too! Thank you for sharing.

  2. Could you please share the brand name of your washer and dryer? I really like the configuration of the appliances and the sizes. Thanks so much.

  3. Oh the peacock decorating is stunning – and such lovely ornaments! And I’m loving that wonderful laundry room! Mine is in an unfinished basement of a 100+ year old house – needless to say it doesn’t look like that! 😉 I’m totally inspired on both counts! Thanks Norma Lorelei and of course Susan for sharing! Happy Almost Christmas!

  4. Beautiful! Such talented women.

  5. What beautiful homes! I would love to have a laundry like that one. Our previous home had a really nice laundry room with a counter for folding, a place to hang clothes, etc. I surely miss that.

  6. I love what Norma did to her ribbons. Beautiful tree. And Lorelei has a gorgeous home! Thanks for sharing with us. Merry Christmas everyone!

  7. Everything is just lovely!

  8. Lovely trees. Lovely homes. The more the merrier! Merry Christmas!

  9. I have a peacock theme tree. And decorated chandelier, mirror, and grandfather clock every year, so I especially enjoyed seeing this post. My peacock ornament collection outgrew the living room tree, so I had to find other places to display them all — hence hanging from the dining room chandelier lol!

  10. I love those peacock colors Norma used! There is something so beautiful about that combination. And her lavish use of the ribbon just makes it all so pretty and sumptuous. And I agree, Susan. If my laundry room looked like Lorelai’s, I’d be happy to do laundry, lol.

    Merry Christmas to all.

I would love to do a peacock themed Christmas like Norma’s, which is just stunning — really nice job! I saw a picture of another peacock themed Christmas tree where the creator had used an illuminated peacock lawn ornament on the front of the tree — worked surprisingly well. Merry Christmas to all my fellow tables capers.

  12. Wow, both ladies décor is just stunning for the holidays! Loving the peacock theme, and like you Susan, I would make excuses to do laundry in a beautiful laundry room like that all decked out for the Christmas season! Just stunning, both ladies did an amazing job! Hugs, Brenda
