A Seafood Boil + 5 More Tablescapes

Welcome to the 362nd Tablescape Thursday!

When I visited Cresswind on Lake Lanier with a friend recently, each home had a pretty table setting inside. Let’s check them out!

Now this is the way to start the day, with a breakfast of croissants, fruit, wine and chocolate! 🙂

Breakfast Tablescape

Notice how they tucked the spoon under the napkin ring for the bowl of beans cereal. Interesting, huh?

Eat-in Bar with Pretty Settings

A lovely table mixing green with purple stemware and mercury glass…love this color combination.

Table Setting in green and purple with Silver Candlesticks

Another pretty table in green…

Tablescape in Green

This one was my favorite. Notice the cute menu. I love the individual colanders at each place setting! I’ve only had crab legs once that I can remember, and that was in a restaurant. Does the colander come in handy? I wonder what’s inside the brown bag with the clothes pin on top? Notice the chalkboard place cards…love that!

Seafood Table Setting

There’s even a cracker thingy to break open the crab legs/claws at each setting. This tablescape was set up in the home with the nautical theme and all the pretty nautical paintings. If you missed that post, you’ll find it here: Cresswind on Lake Lanier

The bar was also decked out with a nautical setting.

Such a treat…touring these model homes. The tablescapes were an unexpected bonus!

Looking forward to the wonderful tables posted for this Tablescape Thursday!

If you are participating in Tablescape Thursday, please be sure to add your permalink below, and not your general blog address.

To get your permalink, click on your post name, then copy and paste the address showing in the address bar, into the “url” box when you link up. You’ll need to include a link in your post back to the party to link up and participate.

That’s so visitors to your blog will be able to find the party and the other Tablescape Thursday participants. Requiring a link back also prevents businesses from linking up to sell their products. (Yep, that really happens, unfortunately.)

Please, don’t add your post name/blog name ALL IN CAPS…it tends to create big spaces between the rows of links.

Please do not link up table settings that were just recently shared in the last few weeks for Tablescape Thursday.

  1. I like the simplicity of all these tables which are so very useable.

  2. What great inspiration. Who would have thought you would find tablescape inspiration while your friend was looking for a place to live. The nautical table was especially fun to see. Thank you for hosting, Susan.

  3. Thanks Susan! Love the wine glasses styled with glass beads and the bowls of beans!

  4. It is always so much fun to get a peek into a variety of table settings like these. I agree with your favorite. I like the way the colors on the table reflect those in the room. The orange napkins are such a nice pop! Thank you for hosting, Susan.

  5. Hi Susan, I loved all the pictures from the models of Cresswind, both today and earlier in the week. In-linkz wouldn’t recognize my back link again today. Boo. I am so proud of the table for the boho bridal shower I hosted. I know you will add it, thanks.

  6. I love the colanders and chalkboard tags with the seafood boil table Susan! Thanks for hosting 🙂

  7. Love the crab tablescape! I’ll bet the bag holds a bib for the guests!

  8. Love the blue/orange tablescape set for crab legs. That color combo really resonates with me. I made plates from my garden photos on Shutterfly and was so excited when I saw how nice they turned out, I created a sunflower tablescape! Thanks for letting us play house with our dishes, Susan. 🙂

Purple and green is one of my favorite color combos in nature, and in textiles, decor, etc. Love that they used it in a table. 🙂

Hope you’re feeling better after your triple slam shot extravaganza the other day.

  10. Hi Susan, I love going to model homes and looking around! Your post reminded me that it has been too long since I have visited a few! The tables that were set are lovely. Thank you for hosting each week! Have a super weekend – Christine

    • Christine, we used to do that all the time when we were itching to move…and afterwards seeking painting and decorating ideas. Perfect for house lovers like us, right?

  11. Those were all great. I wonder if the bag is for the leftover pieces from the seafood? That’s an interesting table with those colanders. That was my favorite I think because it was the most fun to stare at.
    Thanks for hosting (again)!!

  12. Each of these are beautiful and would be a delight to dine on. Thanks for hosting and have a great weekend!

  13. So glad I had a tablescape to share today! I love this party…such fabulous, gorgeous ideas here every week! Thanks hosting. kim from Hunt & Host

  14. My favorite is the crab dinner too. Love those individual colanders. So clever!

  15. Susan,
I’m glad you snapped the tablescapes. Fun and clever. I have mini colanders I’ve used for serving. I line them with lettuce leaves and serve a chicken or tuna salad.

  16. Such fun tablescapes dear Susan and with so many interesting and unique elements! Thanks for sharing and I’m pinning for future copycatting, lol..
Thank you for the great party.
    Love,

  17. That seafood boil table is my fave too. I LOVE the chairs, do you know where they came from??? I need some:):) Thanks again for hosting and for mixing up the posts. Love that feature.

Loved the green and purple combo. I especially loved the purple stemware. Wish I knew where to get those glasses. Hope you’re feeling better. Thanks for the post.

  19. I’m so in love with the seafood tablescape! Such a good idea to use the colanders. We sell a lobster bottler opener that would look perfect as part of a place setting for those that like beer. We had kitchen towels that had crabs on them that could be used for napkins that would work perfectly with that as well. I bet the paper bag it to collect the shells of the eaten crabs. Or shrimp if doing a low country boil. Such pretty set ups for all.
And I love the idea of the spoon in the napkin ring for the cold weather dinners of stew, soups or chowders. Thanks for sharing!

    • Jeri, I was thinking just now, if you had a shrimp boil, folks could just dip their colander right into the big pop and scoop up some shrimp and drain them right there.
I bet you’re right about the paper bag. It could hold packets of the little hand wipes and other helpful things, then be used as the clean up bag during the meal.

      • That is such a smart idea to use the colander to grab their own out of the pot. You’re such a genius. And I would never have thought of adding the packets to the bags. Such a cute idea

  20. The seafood/crab setting seems to have won as today’s favorite; and it got my vote too. It’s such a fun table. Can’t you almost hear the chatter & laughter of the dinner guests at this great table. Did it strike anyone else that the glasses appear to be on the wrong side?

  21. There was so much to look at in the tour post, smart thinking to focus the tablesettings for a separate post. I love the spoon in the napkin ring idea–what fun! And if salad is the first course, instead of soup, just substitute with the salad fork. (sidenote: just can’t say enough how thrilled I am for you about the upcoming trip to Africa, and then Italy :D)

  22. Great tablescapes. I believe the colanders are to put the legs in after you have dug the meat out. Crab boils are so much fun and great food.
Phyllis said that you are going on an African Tour. I wanted to wish you a great trip and take lots of pictures and have fun.
    Thanks for another great party.
    Mary

    • I bet you’re right…I love that idea of using them for that. Yep, I’ll be leaving the middle of next month for a short trip there. Definitely plan to take a lot of photos and hopefully some video. 🙂 Thanks, Mary!

  23. Thank you for the party, Susan!

So happy to be part of the fun this time around! : – )

  24. Ingenuity!!! franki
