A Springtime Table Inspired by a Floral, Butterfly Table Runner

Welcome to the 714th Tablescape Thursday!

Happy June! The first week of June is always a big celebration week in my family. We have three birthdays during the first 8 days of June starting with my son’s, followed by one grandson, and ending with my daughter-in-loves birthday. I love visiting with them on birthday week–well, actually I love visiting anytime, but visiting during birthday week is extra fun!  There’s a lot of partying, cake-eating, and present-opening going on this week!

Since I’m not at home, I wasn’t able to create a table, but I have a delightful, spring-inspired table to share that will definitely put a smile on your face! Warren was shopping recently and came across a wonderful find. Warren said, “A few weeks ago while scavenging through the “Back Stage” department at our local Macy’s and I ran across this beautiful table runner on sale for $0.95. I couldn’t resist. I set a tablescape that picked up on the butterfly theme of the runner for a dinner party tonight. Spring has arrived in Maine!”

Wow! I love the colors Warren chose for this table. What a great idea–using a black tablecloth as a base.

Thanks so much to Warren for sharing this wonderful table–it is a ray of sunshine! I can’t believe the first day of summer is just three weeks away! I’m not ready to say goodbye to spring, yet!

Oh my goodness, that is so pretty. I would love to have a lunch or brunch at that table just to enjoy it to the fullest. 95 cents for the runner?! I’ll take 2 please.

  5. I never would have thought about using a black tablecloth! I love that idea. (Thanks, Warren.) It really anchors the table and makes the pretty spring colors stand out so much more. And the runner for 95 cents? Come on! Haha. What an incredible deal. I’ve never heard of Macy’s ‘backstage’ dept. before. Will have to check it out.

I am a fan of yellow and green together. I sometimes think about making my kitchen all yellow and green. I miss the days of pretty, colorful kitchens. Everything is so white or grey now. And everybody’s is the same. Bring back the wallpaper and color!! (Sorry, rant over.) Thanks for another fun tablescape, Warren. And Susan, I hope you have a blast with the family!

What a beautiful table setting and so Spring-like! I love how it all works together, especially the runner with the matching napkins, and the black tablecloth makes everything pop. Warren has a good eye and has done it again! Thanks for sharing.

  10. That table runner is stunning! I love the table.

  11. What a striking table Warren has shared – the bright colors of the table cloth just pop against the black tablecloth. Brilliant idea! And love that the runner was only 0.95 cents – it doesn’t get much better than that. Thanks for sharing and thanks for hosting Susan – hope you have a great time with your family!

  12. Beautiful table, Warren! It’s so colorful and cheerful. $0.95 for the table runner–SCORE!!! You deserve a gold medal in bargain hunting. :0)

  14. Warren has a good eye as we know, what a gorgeous table runner, even more gorgeous is the table setting. Love the black tablecloth as it really does let those yellow and green dishware/stemware pop. I love how the napkins perfectly match the table runner as well. I also love the scattered, bright butterflies he has on the table. A very bright and sunny table setting, I love it! Hugs, Brenda

  15. Wow, impactful to use black! Love it.
    Have fun in Ohio!
