Birthday Celebration with Eden Dishware by Roberto Cavalli

Welcome to the 411th Tablescape Thursday!

Before we get into this week’s Tablescape Thursday, I have something exciting to share. Several folks have asked where they could find the silver twig flatware I so often use in table settings.

Silver Twig Flatware Table Setting

The store where I purchased it online has been out of it for a long time, but I noticed a couple of days ago that another store I shop in is now carrying it. The price looks better than what I remember paying when I purchased it a few years ago. If you were looking for this flatware, it’s now available here: Silver Twig Flatware.

A Birthday Celebration

Recently Elena threw a wonderful birthday bash for a family member. She created the most beautiful table setting using some very special plates she added to her collection a short while back.

The plates are the work of designer, Roberto Cavalli and the pattern is called, Eden. They are large enough to work as chargers but are also beautiful as dinner plates, which is how Elena is using them in this setting for a birthday dinner.

Elena didn’t want to detract from the floral beauty of the plates so she kept her centerpiece simple with a pretty floral arrangement. The silk peony napkin rings are perfect for this table! The crystal stemware is Waterford Lismore.

Aren’t these plates stunning! The Eden Chargers come in two colors: Pink and Blue. Elena has the pink and those are available online here: Eden Charger The flatware is Napoleon Bee and it’s available here: Napoleon Bee Flatware

They are also available in blue here: Eden Charger

You can’t have a birthday gathering without cake. Elena had not one but three cakes! My cake philosophy is, the more the better! 🙂

Floral Arrangement for Summer Dinner Party

Elena create several floral arrangements to compliment the Eden dishware she chose for her table.

Dessert Cakes for Summer

This one has gorgeous, pink Titanic Roses, Gerbera Daisies, Lavender Limonium and Lemon Leaf as a filler.

In another arrangement, Elena used more of the beautiful pink Titanic Roses, along with lavender Cool Water  Roses, pink Gerbera Daisies and pretty Lemon Leaf as filler. The Lemon Leaf really does make a wonderful filler!

Thanks so much to Elena for sharing this beautiful table she createdfor  her family birthday celebration.

If you are participating in Tablescape Thursday, please be sure to add your permalink below, and not your general blog address. To get your permalink, click on your post name, then copy and paste the address showing in the address bar, into the “url” box when you link up. You’ll need to include a link in your post back to the party to link up and participate.

That’s so visitors to your blog will be able to find the party and the other Tablescape Thursday participants. Requiring a link back also prevents businesses and scammers from linking up to sell their products. (Yep, that really happens, unfortunately.)

Please, don’t add your post name/blog name ALL IN CAPS…it tends to create big spaces between the rows of links.

Please do not link up table settings that were just recently shared in the last few weeks for Tablescape Thursday.

  1. Susan, I have found so many delightful flatware patterns from your posts that I should name these “My Susan Collection!” Someone certainly had a wonderful birthday celebration from a thoughtful friend. Thank you for hosting this party! Linda

  2. Thanks for sharing Elena’s gorgeous flowers and table Susan! I can’t decide on which cake to taste so I’ll have a slice of all three. 🙂

  3. Susan, Thanks for hosting the party. I look so forward to Tablescape Thursdays! Also, thanks for sharing Elena’s beautiful table and flowers with us. It was such a treat to see all the pretty decor this morning. I hope that you a have a wonderful day!!!

    • Thanks, Shannon…you too!

      • Susan, again: thank you so much for hosting Tablescape Thursdays and thank you to all BNOTP readers and the kind words. I am completely in love with my Roberto Cavalli plates, I’ll have to use them again soon.

…………..AND………I just bought two sets of the 20 piece silver twig flatware from the Pier One web site. I was afraid that due to word spreading via BNOTP, there would be a rush on this beautiful flatware and Pier One would run out of stock. Seriously! I had to practically gnaw my own arm off to restrain myself from more shopping–LOL–but in the end, the twig flatware won. :0)

        • lol I know that feeling, Elena. I’ve been eyeing some of new salad plate designs and I’m trying really hard to resist, but it’s hard. Some are just sooo cute! I’m glad you snagged the twig flatware before it was gone. I love that flatware, it’s definitely one of my faves!

  4. Wow, those plates!!! What a spectacular table. I adore that flatware. What a fun one. Thanks for hosting!

  5. Pretty table and the roses are gorgeous. Thanks for sharing Elena’s table. Love the silver twig flatware!

  6. Thanks so much for hosting this wonderful weekly gathering of fellow tablescapers! Loved seeing Elena’s table – everything is so well coordinated and looks beautiful. In my post today, I highlighted a napkin fold that I learned from a great tutorial on your blog – thanks for all the inspiration over the years!

  7. OMGoodness, those plates/chargers are gorgeous!!! I am going to look at the blue ones too. Her flowers are beautiful. I wasn’t sure if the arrangement on the table was real or silk til I saw the credits. Just amazing. She is a talented floral designer!!

  8. Gorgeous with a capital G! Wow, and what says birthday better than 3 cakes! Thanks for the tabletop fun Susan-

  9. Regality (aka The Quing) says

Gorgeous, gorgeous plates and the entire table setting.

  10. Susan, thanks for hosting! Elena’s table is beautiful! Three cakes would be an awesome birthday celebration…can we ever have too many? Pam @ Everyday Licing

  11. Lovely, lovely but what I’m really drawn to are the cakes!

  12. What a lovely table! I’m the one in my family who sets pretty tables; how I wish someone would do such a table for my birthday! =) Susan, I purchased this twig flatware last month in the bronze, and it is stunning! I can’t wait to use it this fall. I am so tempted to get the silver, too. For anyone who needs gold flatware, it is also gorgeous! You can see it in the store in person.

    • Unfortunately, it says that’s it’s only available online. Also, I just had a reader email to say she drove over to the store and they told her it was only available online. I wish they had it in store because I’d love to see some of the other colors I don’t have in person.

    • Martha, I just called my store and the guy said they only have in gold in the store and that bronze and silver has to be ordered online. I’m definitely going to go over and check out the gold.

      • Do, Susan. I was just in today and looked at the gold again and it is just gorgous! I ordered my bronze online. The funny thing is, they mistakenly sent me the gold. I took it back to the store, but told them if they didn’t have the bronze, I would keep the gold since it was SO pretty! They have in many new things. Their pumpkin spice candle/potpourri is delightful! I saw several things I love, but make myself think where I will store it if I buy!

        • Martha, I just got back, OH. MY. GOSH! So much cute stuff! They had zebra and giraffe plates that I so wish I would have had when I created my safari table a few weeks ago. Get this: they had the gold flatware but were selling it by the piece. It was really pretty and the price would have worked out about the same $100 for four, 5-pc place settings, but they didn’t have salad forks. I thought it was so odd that it was being sold by the piece, I expected it to be in boxes. When you received the gold, was it in a box?
I do like the gold a lot. 🙂

          • Susan, online it’s sold by 20-piece place settings. It is pricey, but I have searched the internet over for twig flatware since first seeing yours a few years ago. It is $99 online for 4 place settings and comes with each piece wrapped separately in one box. But I’ve never seen gold or bronze. Both are just beautiful to me.
When I saw those zebra and giraffe plates, I thought of you! Those and the squirrel plates are so cute! I also got the cutest ever white and soft brown cow creamer there last month. Their fall things are fabulous. I must stay out of there!

  13. WOW!!! THAT WAS A VISUAL TREAT as well!!! franki

  14. As pretty as that twig flatware is, I have to wonder just how comfortable it is in the hand..?

  15. What a beautiful table! Thanks to you and to Elena for sharing it with us.

  16. Those plates (in pink) are stunning! The way Elena set the napkins with blooms is a simple, yet perfect, accessory to the table.
Susan, the hardest part of the twig flatware is selecting a color. By the time I get around to it, it will probably all be gone. 🙁 I hope not! Thank you for sharing the info (always), and for hosting us.
    Rita

    • I know, they have a lot of pretty colors. I really love the silver that I have…and would love to add the gold to my collection. The gold would be so pretty at Christmastime with some napkin rings I already have. Tempting!

  17. Susan, may I saw Thank You for all the work you do to host Tablescape Thursday. I love the post you put put up today.

  18. Lisa Rose says

“My cake philosophy is, the more the better!”
I knew we were soul sisters. 😉

  19. Those plates are works of art. Certainly an investment but so gorgeous. The Wallace Bee flatware is on sale until tomorrow. I’m very tempted.

    • I didn’t realize it was on sale, that is good price. I’m tempted, too! I have it in just the stainless, but the gold accent is really pretty.

  20. Linda Page says

Elena definitely knows how to set a stunning table. I love the plates, the napkin rings, the flowers, the crystal stemware. I am sure her friend felt very special in this lovely setting. Thanks to Elena for sharing with us. Now if she would only share some cake!!! Thanks for a great party, Susan!

  21. Regality (aka The Quing) says

Holy crapola! Did you see the price for just one charger?

  22. Those chargers are to die for! Honestly, they are pieces of art. That whole dinner table is an absolute feast for the eyes; elegant and spectacular. I love the floral arrangements, as well. What a marvelous setting for a dinner party. Thanks for sharing this, Susan. Rosie @ The Magic Hutch
