Christmas in Green–So Elegant!

Welcome to the 588th Tablescape Thursday!

This year Norma, a dear BNOTP reader who lives in a beautiful area of France, decided to do something a bit different for Christmas. She chose an elegant, more subdued color palette for her Christmas table and Christmas decor, decorating in green with touches of gold and silver. The result was gorgeous!

Christmas Table Setting in Green, white, silver and gold

Sooo pretty! Green is my favorite color so I love how this looks! Green paired with white, gold and silver is just so beautifully elegant.

A beautiful candlelit centerpiece–the ornaments are so pretty in the candlelight!

Norma said, “I had to make the napkin rings as I had none that looked quite right, and I made the green baubles. The crystal glasses I bought from a friend several years ago. The gold plated flatware is part of a huge 12-place setting set which was another eBay bargain years ago.”

Lovely!

“The green patterned plates are from the Applebee Collection by the Royal Horticultural Collection in England. They were a bargain on Ebay a couple of years ago.”

Norma also shared a few photos of her Christmas decor including this beautiful tree also decorated in green, gold and silver. The tree is just as elegant as the table setting!

Norma hand made many of the ornaments on her tree and in her other decorations.

Amazing! I love them!

Norma decorated her mantel in the same beautiful colors of green, gold and silver. I love the contrast of the brown, rustic mantel against all the gold and silver in the garland and decorations. I would love to try this elegant, sophisticated color scheme for my decorations some Christmas!

Norma dressed her Santa for the Christmas holidays. Sooo fancy!

Thanks so much to Norma (seen here with hubby) for sharing her beautiful Christmas table and decor all the way from France this holiday season. Merry Christmas to Norma and her family and Merry Christmas-Happy Holidays to you, dear Friends!

Looking forward to all the beautiful tables linked for this week’s Tablescape Thursday!

There’s nothing about Norma’s decorating style that I didn’t love. She has quite the talent for creating such a beautiful & classy Christmas setting. I also loved the mixture of rustic elements with the gold & silver theme. Thank you to your friend Norma & thank you Susan for gifting us with this tablescape. I hope you had an especially wonderful time with your family this Christmas.

  5. Beautiful! So elegant. I would never think to put gold and silver together, but the results are lovely. Especially being set off with that rich green. Love it. Thanks, Norma. And thanks for the other photos of your cozy home.

Now, don’t we have some sort of Betweennapsontheporch cultural exchange where we can visit each other when traveling? 😀 Haha. I would love to meet my fellow BNOTPers. Maybe some day!

  6. All the sudden when I click on a link it kicks me out of your blog and back to my email. It started on Monday. So disappointing. I look forward to your blog.

  7. Both the plates and the chargers are gorgeous. And they would fit nicely into my…er…wait. I do not need more dishes. I do not need more dishes. I do not need more dishes. *sigh*

  8. The napkin rings were the perfect touch. And the Applebee collection is so beautiful and goes nicely with the color palette. The colors may be subdued but still very festive–especially with all the sparkle!

  9. Great post! Norma did a lovely job on her decorations and it was so nice to see her and her husband’s picture, too.
She made her family & friends Christmas memorable and special.

I went looking for houses at a local thrift shop and found enough for each of the 6 families whom we had over for our Christmas party. I scrubbed and scrubbed, and they looked enchanting, all lit up inside and out, spread out along the tables. It was like fairyland. The kids loved looking at all the different houses, and each family chose one to bring home. Thank you so much for this enchanting, memorable idea!

  10. Beautiful! So nice of Norma to share with you and us! 🙂 Hope you had a wonderful Christmas, and have a fun &/or relaxing day after!

The green, silver, and gold decorations are gorgeous! However, me being me, I would have to add just a touch of red somewhere–not enough to detract from the color scheme, but just a dab. After referring back, I think a few small red berries judiciously tucked into the greenery around the hurricane candle centerpiece and nowhere else. That would be entirely enough!

  12. Love, love, love the china! A very beautiful Christmas! 🙂

  13. To Norma and family–Joyeux Noël ! Lovely and sophisticated color combination.

  14. Very elegant! I love seeing this, Susan. France is a favorite destination, and it’s fun to see how someone in France celebrates Christmas. Gorgeous tree and mantel too. Well done!

Beautiful table…..and I love that it’s elegant even in the kitchen! We don’t have to have a huge fancy dining room in order to make guests feel special. Norma did this wonderfully. Beautiful china and color palette. Happy New Year!

  17. Very pretty table. Christmas decorations gorgeous. Love the picture at the end thanking us for visiting. Thank you for inviting us into your lovely home!

  18. So exquisite and inviting! Also admire the uniqueness and creativity. (The ornaments in particular are amazing.) Immensely enjoyed the tour and thank you Norma for inviting me into your lovely home.
Bonne année à vous et à tous les vôtres! -Brenda-

  19. I love the idea of using green with gold and silver for Christmas!
