Kissing Booth, This Way Please!

Welcome to the 629th Metamorphosis Monday, a blog party sharing fabulous Before and Afters!

Hope you had an awesome Valentine’s Day yesterday! If you didn’t get to spend it with a special someone, I hope you spoiled yourself and spent the day doing whatever you enjoy most!

Elinda, whose lovely tables I’ve featured previously for Tablescape Thursday, shared some delightful photos with me yesterday of how she decorated this year for Valentine’s Day. I love this rose cover trellis here on the porch. I wonder how much the kisses cost at the kissing booth? Let’s go find out–you know, for research purposes! 😉

Kissing Booth Sign, Roses and Greenery

Elinda made this beautiful rose-covered topiary around 15-20 years ago. Sooo romantic and perfect for Valentine’s Day!

Here’s a great decoration to keep in mind for next year. Elinda cut/found a few branches in her garden and decorated them with Mercury Glass hearts she found on Etsy. I love this! If you would like to make this sweetheart tree, you’ll find mercury glass hearts in all colors here: Mercury Glass Hearts.

I love these adorable red, velvet hearts! Elinda found those in an online shop called: Lovefeast Shop. Have you ever heard of Lovefeast Shop? I had not but checked out their shop this evening and it’s adorable! Unfortunately, it says the velvet hearts are sold out but you can still add them to a wishlist. The black and white check heart makes me think of MacKenzie -Childs’ Courtly Check. They even have them with Swarovski crystals! Very fancy!

Watch out, Cupid is taking aim! I see a pretty decorated mantel in the background!

Elinda set a beautiful table for Valentine’s Day. She decorated the chandelier with red hearts and roses in pink, cream and red.

I love the sweet, heart wreaths on the back of each chair!

Elinda made her beautiful napkin rings…sooo pretty!

The red-heart shaped bowls are from Marshalls and the heart spoons are available here: Heart Spoons for Coffee or Tea.

Love these adorable heart-tree salad plates! Elinda found those in Pier 1 and the white dinner plates are from Williams Sonoma here: Dinner Plates. They are also available in a salad plates size here: Salad Plates.

These gorgeous beaded, red heart placemats were a find in Pier 1. I couldn’t find these on their website so I think Elinda may have purchased these a few years back.

Thanks so much to Elinda for sharing her home beautifully decorated for Valentine’s Day! I think I would leave everything up for the whole month of February. We need this kind of beauty to get us through one of the coldest months of winter.

  1. The Valentine table is so pretty, I love every thing about it.

  2. I too am loving the heart shaped little pillows. I too once loved Pier 1 and have ordered online now. But no more, the quality is terrible, not up to their previous standards. I was very disappointed.

    • I’m still mad at them for pretending to go out of business, then coming back! Won’t be shopping there again after that stunt.

  3. The heart pillow reminds me of my young age. My mother could crochet
very good. At Valentines she would cut out satin material into a heart, then crochet a white overlay on it then take red ribbon and weave it through the crochet outside. Once the ribbon is around then she woul turn inside out and would have pretty peaks
I wish I had one now but you know how things disappear over time

  4. Thanks so much Susan! I am crazy over the heart pillows, and oh how I miss Pier 1! Elinda’s Valentine decor is beautiful!

  5. Such beautiful Valentine decor and tablescape. Those little velvet hearts with crowns are gorgeous. The crowns on top give it that special touch. Hope you had a great weekend, we spent ours quietly here freezing our patooties in zero weather. brrr.

Thank you all for your kind words. I also miss Pier 1. I have not seen anything on their online store that interest me. The placemats I believe they were purchased in 2018.

  7. Thanks for sharing your beautiful tablescape with us. I love the red glass goblets and heart dish.
Not a fan of the new online Pier One. The emails they send out aren’t even as nice as before.

  8. So many beautiful links to dive into! That tablescape is stunning. I hope your Valentine’s celebration was a happy one. Thanks so much for hosting. Hugs, CoCo

Susan, love your columns/articles. Let us know how you are in this weather-so many have lost power, praying for those less fortunate. Maybe when this is all over, those of us who procrastinated, like me, will buy more warm clothes. I am all set with Canadian goose down comforters and warm clothes, but some of my warm clothes are showing wear, so I need to resupply myself. Keep up the wonderful articles. P.S.: Thanks for sending me the article on plantation shutters-hope I have enough left in my remodeling budget to acquire them….after the foundation work and new windows. So many in TX have foundation problems whether pier-and-beam or concrete foundations because of the prolonged drought. Thanks again for all you do.

    • Thanks, Sharyn! No, thankfully no power losses here. I feel for everyone who has lost power. I remember when that happened several years ago during a huge storm and it was no fun!
I didn’t realize drought would cause that. Yikes! I wish I could send you some of the rain we’ve had the last few years, rains a lot here! I feel like I’m in Ireland about half the time. Sunny days seem pretty rare lately.
      Stay warm!

  10. Thank you so much for hosting! This week I am excited to share my prairie style living room, a late winter tablescape and my cherry chocolate pretzel ice cream cake recipe! Hope you have an awesome week!

  11. What a darling table – I’m so glad you and Elinda for shared it! I haven’t tried anything from the online Pier 1 yet (doesn’t sound too wonderful) but thanks for scouting out the sources, Susan! I love those little heart spoons! My power finally came back on so I can catch up on what I missed all week! 🙂 Happy Wednesday!

  12. I have been following you for years and absolutely love all your tablescapes, recipes and tips. I tried to get onto lovefeast but for some reason I could not. I tried lovefeast.com. Is that correct? Keep sharing all your beautiful ideas. They never go to waste.

  13. Oh My Gosh! those little ‘star’ plates!!! My mother had a bunch of those and I’ve shared them with my girls. Actually, had birthday cake on them the other day for a granddaughter’s birthday. Memories!!

  14. Franki Parde says

Ooooh,”heart be still!” These displays were are just LOVEly!!! franki
