Elegant Spring Table with a Hand-Crafted Centerpiece & a Nod to the Gilmore Girls

Welcome to the 705th Tablescape Thursday!

Recently I received an email from a lovely BNOTP reader. Sheri said, “I just created a Spring tablescape for my dining room that I thought I would share with you. It all started with the candle in the centerpiece. A sweet, dear young friend won a silent auction of a bag of goodies that were “Gilmore Girls” themed. She knows I am a HUGE fan and she bid on it and gave it to me. The candle says, “A thousand yellow daisies”, Gilmore Girls fans will recognize it right away and it smells divine.”

“So I asked my darling handyman, Mike (husband) and he made me the white wooden box to use as my centerpiece.”

“I had seen the pretty magnolia and dogwood and camellia flowers at the Dollar Tree and couldn’t resist getting them to use in the box. I tried to use the idea of “thrillers, spillers, and fillers for the centerpiece. I am always surprised to find such nice flowers at the DT. Can’t beat the price.”

The colors Sheri chose for her table are perfect for spring and Easter. Beautiful centerpiece! I remember once before Sheri’s hubby created a beautiful container for her centerpiece. This hand-crafted flower box can easily be used over and over for future table settings…love that!

Sheri said, “I used a pink bed sheet and a piece of lace for the tablecloth. I topped it with a hand-embroidered table topper I got at a garage sale. It had embroidered dogwood on it. Being from Missouri I really had to have it!”

Sheri shared her sources for the items she used in her spring table setting saying, “The white chargers are from Hobby Lobby, the napkins and napkin rings are from Tuesday Morning years ago, and the crochet coasters are from either Dollar General or Dollar Tree years ago, or maybe Walmart.”

“My silverware has been seen before and is old and I can’t remember where I got it. My china is from a department store in Kentucky but I can’t remember which one as it was many years ago. The glasses are from Dollar Tree. I wish I had some Pink goblets but the coasters kind of made up for it.”

Thanks so much to Sheri for sharing this beautiful, elegant spring table! I love everything about it from the lovely candle your friend won and gifted to you, the wonderful flower box your hubby made, and the lovely china and other table pieces you’ve collected through the years. It all came together for the perfect spring table setting! ♥

Tablescape Thursday

If you are participating in Tablescape Thursday, please be sure to add your permalink below, and not your general blog address. To get your permalink, click on your post name, then copy and paste the address showing in the address bar, into the “url” box when you link up. You’ll need to include a link in your post back to the party to link up and participate.

That’s so visitors to your blog will be able to find the party and the other Tablescape Thursday participants. Requiring a link back also prevents businesses and scammers from linking up to sell their products. (Yep, that really happens, unfortunately.) If you see a post that’s not table-setting related, let me know and I’ll remove it.

Please, don’t add your post name/blog name ALL IN CAPS…it tends to create big spaces between the rows of links. Please link up table setting or table setting related posts only for Tablescape Thursday.
