A Visit to Marie’s Beautiful Home for Easter

Welcome to the 374th Metamorphosis Monday!

Hope you’ve had a wonderful spring weekend! I’m putting Monday’s post up a bit early since I’ll be away from my computer tomorrow for much of the day.

Recently when I visited with my friend, Marie, I so enjoyed seeing all of the beautiful decorations she had put up for spring and Easter. Her mantel was decorated with a egg garland in the colors of spring: yellow, bright pink and spring green. I especially loved the “PEEP” in the center. 🙂

Two tall bunnies are the perfect finishing touch for each end of this cheerful spring mantel.

If you’ve been reading BNOTP for while now, you know that Marie has a white tree in her kitchen/breakfast area that she decorates year around for the seasons and holidays. A white tree really works great since it provides the perfect backdrop for decorations and ornaments, no matter the holiday.

Marie’s Easter tree is decorated with soft pastels and pretty colors that make me think of all the beautiful spring flowers and flowering trees I’m seeing in bloom all around my home this time of year.

I know Marie’s grandchildren must love this adorable Mama bunny with her four babies at the foot of the tree. Sooo sweet!

I think my favorite ornament on the tree this year is this cute bunny comfortably stretched out and lounging in a hammock.  🙂

  6. Wow! Marie’s wherewithal in decorating for the seasons is unmatched! Even what appears to be her everyday decor – those glass hens in the windowsill (not to mention all the bunnies on the lower ledges) – so much detail! P.S.: Susan I am still searching for an Easter Bunny Magic Compass Egg that you featured in one of your previous posts, but to date have not been able to find one so it appears I just might have to add it to my verrrrry looong To-Do List and make one. (Not like I don’t have enough to do but that’s the influence you have on me … ☺.)

  19. I bet Marie’s grandchildren can’t wait to see what she does next. I always love seeing her décor for the holidays. She doesn’t leave anything undone. So much fun. Thank you Marie and Susan for sharing it

  21. I so love visiting Marie’s home! Her holiday decorating is so beautiful…..thanks for bringing us along….

  22. I love Marie’s trees. Well I searched and found the busy in the hammock on line at Pier 1. It was late. I said oh I’ll order it tomorrow. When I woke up it was still available but had to do something else on line. By the time I got back, less than 15 minutes later, it was no longer available. Never wait for something that has been posted on here. LOL!

Hi this is the first time being here and seeing your beautiful decorations. I am in love with the yellow ducks in the pink half egg. I saw where you said they came from Pier 1. I Candywant one so bad but our Pier One has closed. Do you have 1 to sell or know where I could get one of the ducks in the egg? Thank you

    • Hi Candy,
Those belong to my friend, Marie and as far as I know, she isn’t interested in letting go of them. Unfortunately, all the Pier 1 stores have closed nationwide, but they do still operate an online store–so you may want to check the online site. I would also check on eBay. That’s normally where I luck out and find items from previous years.
