I’ll be back later today with a post. In the meantime, I’m sharing another one of my fave books from the BNOTP library. You guys know I’m huge animal lover so when I first saw this book, it definitely grabbed my attention. The cover was just so beautiful and included two of my favorite things in the whole world, animals and books. When I realized the book also included some gorgeous interiors, because after all it’s about “living” with dogs, I knew it would be a wonderful addition to my decor library.
In the BNOTP Library: Living with Dogs: Collections and Traditions, At Home and Afield
Author: Laurence Sheehan
Hardcover: 240 pages
Book size: 12.3 x 9.3 x 0.9
3 Things I Like About This Book:
- Definitely a book for the dog lover, but really for anyone who loves seeing beautiful, interiors that incorporate the tradition of life with dogs
- Wonderful collections related to dogs, including canes, antique figurines, paintings, jewelry, pillows, etc…
- 400+ pictures, many of which include some of the most beautiful homes: think beautiful paneled walls, red leather chairs, books cases overflowing with books, gorgeous paintings, cane collections. I would have bought this book for pages 4o/41 and 92/93 alone…I want to be in those rooms! 🙂

Looks like another entertaining book! There is something about having a dog that makes you feel like you have a real pal in life.
That is so true, Liz! I miss my Golden, Jake.
Susan, I think if I took a photo of my bookshelves, it would be identical to yours! I think I have 7 out of 9 books you have featured so far and they are my favorites, too!
lol That is so neat, Wendy…we must love the same things! 🙂
Wendy, that image at the end of the post is just a snippet and doesn’t show them all…I’ve actually featured a bunch more now. You can see all of them here: https://betweennapsontheporch.net/in-the-bnotp-library/
Susan, I have this book and love it!
I have a new crazy lively, but oh so loving, standard poodle puppy and took the book off my shelf today to remind myself why I love doggies soo much and why I have three..sigh.:-)
Also, another doggy book that I enjoy is THE ENGLISH DOG at HOME, by Felicity Wigan, which is truly more about the actual dogs that have stolen the hearts of some rather upscale owners, rather than their exalted environments.
