Last Minute Gift Ideas for Christmas, Stocking Stuffers, Too!

Christmas is just four days away. If you’re still struggling to find the right gift for someone on your list, here are a few suggestions ranging in cost. All these products are from stores that state they can still ship in time for Christmas, although some items may not include free shipping.

I’ve also included some great stocking stuffer ideas. Merry Christmas and Happy Shopping!

I love a cashmere throw and these are currently on sale. Plus, you can get an extra 15% off with the code, SAVEMORE at checkout.

I love both of these tartans, so hard to choose which to go with. There are so many different styles and color. You’ll find all the throws that are currently on sale (including these two tartan throws) here: Throws On Sale.

These winter gloves would make a great stocking stuffer. They are designed where you can still use a phone, iPad or touch-device while wearing them. I gave a pair to my son last year and he’s still using them. I bought a new pair this year so he’d have more than just one pair. He loves to wear them while he’s grilling during the winter so he can use his phone when needed. You’ll find them here: Winter Gloves

Just purchased two sets of these socks for my son in two different color patterns. They come in a lot of different colors. You’ll find them all here: Socks

I shared this mini desktop vacuum a while back in a favorites post. It’s awesome for cleaning off your desktop, keyboard or mouse pad. I use it a lot for my mousepad since I use a laser mouse. It would also make a great stocking stuffer. You’ll find it available here: Mini Desktop Vacuum

Two more great stocking stuffers: Cutemol is awesome for anyone who suffers with cracked fingers or super dry skin during the winter. I use year-round. You’ll find it here: Cutemol.

I bought a pair of these Bear Oven Mitts thinking my grandsons would find them funny when they were here for Thanksgiving. Now they are almost all I use for taking hot pans from the oven. They aren’t huge like so many oven mitts are so they fit my hands well. They would be great as an extra gift or stocking stuffer. You’ll find them here: Bear Claw Mitts.

Another great stocking stuff…these Merino wool socks. Sooo warm and sooo soft! I love them and have been living them in them the last few weeks! You’ll find them available here: Merino Wool Socks. Don’t forget to click on the 5% off coupon box to get that additional discount.

Love to cook? This Wusthof Classic Knife Set is currently on sale half off here: Wusthof Knife Set. That’s a great price for knives you’ll use and have the rest of your life. Periodically my local Williams Sonoma offers free sharpening for Wusthof knives. Love that! The code ship4free at checkout should give free shipping.

I don’t think this is on sale, but I do love the look of this Limited Edition Kitchenaid Mixer with the hobnail bowl. Sooo pretty! You’ll find it available here: Limited Edition Kitchenaid Mixer. I think the code: Ship4free at checkout will include free shipping.

Here’s an inexpensive gift/stocking stuffer for the little ones. I bought two of these for my grandsons to go along with their other gifts. You’ll find them available in themes that will appeal to both boys and girls here: Mess-Free Coloring.

Here are some other great gift ideas for children. I’ve given several of these to my grandsons in the past. Click any photo to read about or access that item for more information.

I’ll continue to add to this list this evening if I find some other deals I think are worth mentioning! Please share any amazing deals you’ve found in the comments and I’ll add them to this post.

Happy last-minute shopping!

  1. I bought the merino socks when you mentioned them before. They are wonderful. Most warm socks are too bulky and these are not. Great recommendation. Thank you for all of your terrific posts. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.

    • Thanks so much, Barbara…I’m so glad they’ve worked out for you, too. They are the only socks I’ve been wearing this winter. I can’t get over how soft and cozy warm they are without being the least bit itchy. I know what you mean about not being bulky, they work with all my boots/shoes since they aren’t bulky.
Merry Christmas to you! Looking forward to 2020! Hope you have a fabulous New Year! XXX

      • Me too! I also got them when you first recommended them and am amazed at how nice and cozy they make my feet feel. Warm, without being too warm. And not at all itchy, which is great for a sensitive skinned person like me. Great recommendation, Susan. My only thoughts are that they are somewhat thin and since they are now the only socks I am wearing this winter, I may wind up having to buy more next year. That doesn’t bother me though, because the price is so reasonable.

        • I agree! I’ve bought 2 sets (12) so far and last night I purchased one more set that I’m not going to open…will save them for next year. I’m always afraid the good stuff will vanish so wanted to have some new ones for next year. So far, the ones I’ve bought and have been wearing have held up great.

          • That’s a good idea, actually. I should buy more, myself. And yes, even though I have been wearing these exclusively, they are not showing any sign of wear yet. Yay! Besides, sometimes the price of things changes so dramatically and so quickly on amazon, I kick myself for not buying. I had something in my cart, got distracted, went back two days later and the price had jumped up by 1/3!

        • Oh I love those plaid throws – thanks for all the wonderful ideas! Hope you have a lovely few days before Christmas! 🙂

  2. Love love the look of the cashmere throws! I have a dog and a cat who will certainly make this their new bed! Cashmere requires special cleaning, correct? So my guess, would not be apropos for my mountain home? Did you choose the cashmere for warmth or for the Cashmere expense? I truly respect your entire site and have followed many of your suggestions and have been awarded with warmth and personality in my homes! I just don’t want to spend the money on cashmere throws that I know my loveys will take over! Could you offer an alternative? Or, will this hold up to them and I already use Laundress? Merry Christmas to you and your family and to the best the 2020 Year has to offer!

    • Thanks so much, Kristy! I haven’t had any of my cashmere throws cleaned yet, but I bet they could be washed by hand in “The Laundress Wool and Cashmere Shampoo” seen here https://amzn.to/35IvOA6 . I really try to avoid having anything drycleaned because in the past when I did that with silk shirts, they never looked the same afterward. I just wouldn’t put them in a washer.
Maybe you could buy an inexpensive, soft throw for your furbabies and keep the cashmere one tucked away to pull out when you want a bit of pampering for yourself.

      • @Susan & Kristy: Re care of the Cashmere throws. The one I have I just ‘cold water wash’ , gentle cycle in a mesh laundry bag (using Woolite) and add a fabric softener to its last rinse, then ‘ hang to dry’ . -Brenda-
        P.S.: The laundry bag I use comes in a variety-size set of 5 and was purchased from: Amazon.com / by BAGAIL / Jumbo (XL) 24″ x 24″.

  3. I’m another happy purchaser of the merino wool socks you recommended. I love them! Merry Christmas to you and all your family and safe travels!

  4. Cyndi Raines says

Thanks Susan for all of your good suggestions. I have been using the Cutemol hand cream each night before bed. You are correct in that it is a heavy cream and a little bit goes along way, but it does work. I need to order those socks! Just heard that Michigan will be in the mid to high 40’s next week, so Ohio should be the same or better, which will help thaw you out, you precious southern belle! Hehe

    • Yes, we are finally getting some slightly warmer temps. I ventured outside today for a few minutes. lol I don’t even go outside when it’s cold at home!

  5. Super suggestions, Susan and shall definitely consider the merino wool socks as certainly can use them in the climate I live in. (Like too that they appear to be a reasonable length.) With respect to shopping; am just waiting for the delivery of one (a stocking stuffer for my thirteen year old grandson since Santa leaves socks here as well) but otherwise am officially finished it and all the wrapping. (Hallelujah!)
    -Brenda-
WISHING YOU and your family ALL THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS!

  6. This is Sandy from West Chester Ohio A community next to Dayton where son lives.

I know you tried Graters ice cream and I told you it is from Cincinnati made here

I really enjoy your blog. One of the best

    MERRY CHRISTMAS

    • Thanks so much, Sandy! I do love Graters! I’ve already purchased several cartons of their peppermint icecream since I’ve been here and just bought one of their red 150th Anniversary mugs yesterday. 🙂
Merry Christmas to you and your family! XXX
