Welcome to the 202nd Tablescape Thursday!
Greetings! Hope your week is going great! Recently, Noritake, a wonderful Sponsor of Between Naps on the Porch, sent some lovely china my way.
It was a gorgeous day, we got a little break in the storms this week. Wish you were here to enjoy it with me.
This table setting would have looked great with a floral centerpiece where the shorter candle currently stands, but I was in the mood for something a little different this week.
I liked the light, elegant feel of the silver and glass. It just seemed to work with this pretty dishware.
My recent addition to the porch (a new lamp) makes a pretty back drop for photos when lit. That’s a happy accident. (You can read about and see it a little better in this post: A New Lamp for the Porch.)
It wasn’t dark out yet, but I couldn’t resist lighting the candles.
The great thing about this china named, Combo, is it can be dressed up for an elegant or formal occasion but goes casual just as easily. I decided to dress it up a bit this week.
Combo is part of Noritake’s Tempo Collection. It’s described on their site as having “stylized florals in black, red and green” with lots of movement to “jazz up” your table. That describes it perfectly.
I used two different glassware patterns this week, both by Noritake. The iced beverage is Breeze Clear and the wine glass is Vendome Clear. They worked great together for this table setting! Beautiful! Flatware is Hampton Forge San Remo and it’s available here: Hampton Forge San Remo
The black beaded napkin rings and black flatware grounded the table setting, keeping it from floating away on this breezy, sunshine day.
A view from the head of the table…
Looking forward to all the beautiful tables posted for this Tablescape Thursday!

If you are participating in Tablescape Thursday, please be sure to add your permalink below, and not your general blog address. To get your permalink, click on your post name, then just copy and paste the address that shows up in the address bar, into the “url” box when you link up.
You’ll need to include a link in your post back to the party in order to link up and participate. That’s so visitors to your blog will be able to find the party and the other Tablescape Thursday participants.
If you would like to use the Tablescape Thursday logo button in your post, just copy and paste it to your computer and upload it to your post as you would any photo.
Please, don’t add your post name/blog name ALL IN CAPS…it tends to create big spaces between the rows of links. Thanks!
Your table is beautiful – very angelic. Thanks for hosting.
Thanks, Janette! ♥
Gorgeous! Love the colors of “Combo”
Thanks, June! Combo is a versatile pattern…could see it in a lot of different settings.
The Mercury Glass makes the perfect amendment for the new Noritake “Combo”…a sophisticated design for your beautiful porch. Thanks again for hosting your marvelous meme. I look forward to it each week. I enjoy participating and discovering new inspiration from so many talented tablescapers. Cherry Kay.
Thanks, Cherry Kay! So many talented ladies…love clicking on all the links!
I love Nortake china. My post today features some of my wedding Nortake china. They always had such beautiful dishes.
My “wedding” china was Noritake, too. Pattern was Colburn and I still like it. 🙂
Wow Susan, I am loving this tablescape! It truly is light and airy. My favorite part is all the crystal, white, and silver; and I love your napkins.
This is a fresh, new idea for a summer table. What a great setting for lunch on the porch. 🙂 Thanks for hosting Tablescape Thursdays!
Denise
Thanks, Denise!
Hi again Susan,
Not sure what am doing, suddenly I coudn’t link anymore to your parties.

Can you link my post for now? This is the 2nd time I been I can’t join.
I have to check how this work in your TS as I could link my post on MET Monday.

Check your link…it’s probably for the old BNOTP site and says blogspot in the address. That site (when you click on the link) will redirect you back to betweennapsontheporch.net, but InLinkz won’t recognize the address.
The new Noritake china ia very pretty. The candleholders are a lovely accent and do let the china shine. Thanks for hosting.. love seeing all the pretty inspiration! xo marlis
TY a mill Susan,
Our IT guy at work done something in the URL// thing.
Now, am in.
So, pretty and winning the $100 is a dream but joining as an participant outside US, I guess it is not possible.
Congrats to the winner in advance.
Happy mid-week.

Very ethereal – love the beaded napkin rings!

Susan, the Combo place settings make for a beautiful table. I like the way Noritake mixed the square shape for the dinner with the round salad plate and the both the color and movement of the design. Your choice of simple candles with all your crystal look perfect. I like the elegant simplicity of this tablescape. Well done!
Morning Susan,
Wow, what a beautiful table, looks like it should be for a wedding reception. That Noritake china is gorgeous and will be great for the Fall too. Love love love all the white with it, really glams it up even
more. Also loved the choice of silverware and napkin rings. A nice mixture of textures, beautiful as
always.
Thanks for hosting hon,
Blessings for a nice weekend, Nellie
This is absolutely gorgeous! We can count on you to create a lovely tablescape and Noritake to create beautiful dises!
Awww, thanks Bev! You’re a sweetie!
Just love the sparkle and shine of todays tablescape…Really love the use of the colors with the crystal…truly an amazing table Susan…as always!
I love the feeling of this table as well as the look.
I love this – the place settings are so elegant, yet I can see them casual as well!!! But let me tell you….the silverware made me TINGLE!!! I love it!! I must have it!!! I won’t rest until I find it!! Of course, I will rest, but still…….
Robin, you are too cute! I see it in different colors from time to time. I think I bought mine in Tuesday Morning. Oh, wait…on second thought, I may have bought it online at Horchow or Neiman Marcus. It’s one of the less expensive flatwares they carry and periodically it goes on sale. Check there!
Hello, Susan!
I love your “light and airy” tablescape!
And if my eyes aren’t fooling me, do the colors of the “Combo” fit perfectly with the colors of your swing cushions, don’t they? Sooo beautiful!
Hugs to you!
Cecilia
Cecilia, I hadn’t noticed that…but I think you’re right! Good eyes!
Very pretty, Susan. The china has a very modern look to it. Congrats on receiving it as a gift!
Thanks so much for hosting.
Your table looks so cool and refreshing! A perfect table for a hot summer day 🙂 Thanks for hosting.
This table really appeals to me. I love the sparkle and shine of the crystal and the modest color from the china. So pleasing to the eye. Dianne
I know I’m messed up when I see your listing and I thought…oh, it is Thursday? All this 100 degree plus weather has fried my brain! I really like this tablescape. It is more simple than some of yours, but it is so sleek and pretty. The crystal looks so clean, I love the black flatware and I think the new china is really interesting and fun. Love it!
This just lovely, and so summery. We can count on you for beautiful tablescapes and on Noritake for beautiful china.
Susan, that tablescape is so pretty. I love the deeply hued Bakelite silverware handles, and all the glassware makes the entire table sparkle–just gorgeous. Thank you for hosting today!
Thanks, Athena!
This is so beautiful and fresh looking, Susan. You are right about it being so light and airy. Cools me off just looking at it….Christine
Me, too Christine…perfect for a hot summer day. 🙂
It IS a very light and airy table. Very pretty. While a floral centerpiece would look lovely, I think you made the right choice in letting the china be the star, since that’s the whole point of a sponsor gift. The readers can each envision how they’d use it. The black flatware and napkin rings are the perfect touch to set it off, and in the last picture I see it looks great with your chair cushions. I’ve always loved the “Breeze” pattern – the “Vendome” looks great with it.
They really sparkle…love them, too!
I love the Noritake china — and I always love clear glass accent pieces. I’m imagining this table another day with a green tablecloth to match the plates … when graceful movement is the goal rather than “airy.” Wouldn’t that be pretty? I hope you’ll stop by my Vintage Linen & Dish Auction this weekend if you get a chance. It starts Friday at midnight. Have a great rest of the week!
Luv the elegance of the china and crystal. I am calling this one ‘elegant simplicity’ 😀
Perfect! Like that!
Love the sparkle . . .
Beautiful casual elegance! I also noticed how well it matched the chair cushions! You certainly have an eye for combinations. Thanks for hosting.
What a pretty pattern! I haven’t seen that one by Noritake before. I like the way you’ve styled it here — love the mercury glass! Thank you for hosting! I’m late linking up today because I flew to Chicago this morning. Better late than never, I guess!
Lovely and sparkly 🙂
Thanks for hosting. Greetings from Australia♥ ~Pernilla
I love your summer dinning tablescape. Elegant, simple and chic. 🙂 Very good taste!
Susan … your pictures remind me of a few of the descriptions I write about in my book – I’d like to Pin some to the book page 🙂 Anyhoo, I’ve been on Mars for two months but I am back now – hope your summer is going fabulously! And, I don’t know if I ever asked, but I’d love to do a giveaway/review on your site – let me know what you think when you have the time – you could even do a post about what I have up right now – would love to get more public input! “Talk” soon!
This is such a pretty and crisp table! Perfect for summer.
Susan,
I don’t care too much for that particular pattern, but even in your porch and with your finesse it is beautiful. I love the breezy, flowy air of this table. You do have a special gift, my friend. xxoo
Aww, thanks Barb! I could easily say the same about you!
I love the beautiful table, especially the Noritake. Thank you so much for hosting. 🙂 Have a wonderful weekend.
The crystal and white looks fresh and beautiful, especially with the wicker furniture. Would make a pretty bridal shower tablescape.
Thanks for hosting!
Katherine
I’m visiting my sister who lives in Smyrna and we went to Queen of Hearts in Alpharetta today. Love, live, love that store. If I lived in the area I could do serious damage there. I’m flying home to PA tomorrow so couldn’t buy anything that wouldn’t fit in my suitcase. I’ll be back!
Oh, you have me craving a trip! I haven’t been in a while…but now I have to go! 🙂
Hi Susan, I have had a bit of trouble with my blog recently but hopefully it is all sorted and I can catch up with posts and comments.
A few questions I would like to ask :-
1. Do you entertain much as your tables always look so delightful and fresh with such great ideas?
2. What do your family think about your blogging?
3. Have you been in touch with Bill at Affordable Accoutrements as I really miss his tablescapes? I emailed him a couple of months ago and I know he is quite busy. We have had email chats about the UK and particularly London. A place I lived in most of my life and a place he has never visited!!!
For us ( according to the weather man) our Summer is starting this weekend, which is great as the children finish from school for the Summer holidays today and next week it is the start of the London Olympics!!! We have had so much rain here recently and I know other countries have had unusual weather. Have a great Summer to you and all your followers, Love Jackie in Surrey UK.
PS. The Olympic torch is coming to Guildford today on it’s way into London!!
Hi Jackie! That is so cool about the Olympic torch…what an experience that would be to see it pass by! To answer your questions…Yes, I’ve often used the tables I create for Tablescape Thursday. Sometimes the tables I share were created specifically for friends/family and then I share them for TT, too. I do create them just to share here on the blog for Tablescape Thursday, too. I love it! What does my family think about my blogging? They are excited and happy I’ve found something I enjoy doing so much. They are really supportive and are always telling me about someone they’ve shared my blog with that day, which is really sweet. Yep, I do hear from Bill occasionally. He’s doing great, just very busy with work these days.
Hi Susan, just gorgeous and so stylish, there’s a real serenity to your tablescape and table setting.I am sort of- really envious you have this lovely place/ porch to entertain- but you know, as you entertain us all here too, I guess that in a way we are your guests every week – so I am grateful you are letting us enjoy it with you!!I haven’t visited for a while as I have been so busy designing but always enjoy your posts so much.Have a lovely weekend.

So elegant. I think I will use this as a foundation for the future. Just change the place settings and you have New Year’s, Valentine’s, Mother’s Day, Showers…just about anything. And I already have much of this, or at least very similar. This is a good solid tablescape for first homes or ones with little storage. Thanks
You have a great talent for creating moods with your table settings. Have you done a table for a baby shower? The old fashion kind where the sex of the baby is not known so its not about pink and blue but gentle, hopeful and fun.
Thanks, Lesa! I haven’t specifically done one for a baby shower but this one might be nice for a shower: https://betweennapsontheporch.net/birthday-party-mothers-day-or-bridal-shower-table-setting-tablescape/
I think this one would be sweet for a baby shower where a girl is expected: https://betweennapsontheporch.net/tablescape-for-bridal-shower-or-mothers-day-happy-100th-tablescape-thursday/
