A Mardi Gras Celebration

Welcome to the 284th Tablescape Thursday!

Sandra is throwing a Mardi Gras bash! She has six friends coming in for the weekend just before Mardi Gras so it’s going to be party time. Just look at this beautiful table she’s prepared!

Sandra lives in a beautiful historic home built in 1833. I love the little glimpses we catch of her wonderful dining room in this post.

Can you imagine the expression on her friend’s faces when they see this table!

Sandra saw these Mardi Gras masks plates years ago at Marshalls and TJ Maxx. She didn’t buy them then but later when she began hosting Mardi Gras parties, she found them again on eBay.

So pretty! I really like the gold rims!

A smaller table will work well for serving coffee, tea, and maybe even desserts.

Tablescape Thursday

If you are participating in Tablescape Thursday, please be sure to add your permalink below, and not your general blog address. To get your permalink, click on your post name, then copy and paste the address showing in the address bar, into the “url” box when you link up.

You’ll need to include a link in your post back to the party in order to link up and participate. That’s so visitors to your blog will be able to find the party and the other Tablescape Thursday participants. Requiring a link back also prevents businesses from linking up to sell their products. (Yep, that really happens, unfortunately.)

If you would like to use the Tablescape Thursday logo button in your post, just copy and paste it to your computer and upload it to your post as you would any photo.

Please, don’t add your post name/blog name ALL IN CAPS…it tends to create big spaces between the rows of links.

  20. Thank you for hosting Susan! I am so sorry to be so late to the party. I have spent all day editing my pictures with PicMonkey. I am still learning how to do these things. Sandra’s Mardi Gras table is lovely. I visited her blog and am excited for the opportunity to see more of her beautiful home.

I have admired the plates Sandra used in her tablescape since I saw them last year when you posted Bonnie’s Mardi Gras tablescape. I was bidding on a set on Ebay but the price got so high that I had to bow out. I still want a set, maybe next year.

    • I know, I noticed the same thing this year, too. They are super popular! Hopefully you’ll find some later in the year at more reasonable prices when it’s well past Mardi Gras.

  21. Perfect! I’m throwing a Mardi Gras dinner party at my house this coming weekend, so this table was the perfect inspiration!! Thanks, Susan!

  22. “HEART” those plates…gorgeous colors!! franki
