My Fave Garage Sailing Tip: The Headlock Maneuver

Garage Sailing…what is it?  I like this definition from the Urban Dictionary online:  The pasttime of attending garage sales in pursuit of other peoples junk. 🙂

Do you like garage sailing?  Did you go today or do you have plans to go tomorrow?

I’ve been going through some of the remaining 75+ posts I hadn’t categorized yet and I found one I wrote back in May 2010 on the topic of “garage sailing.”  It made me laugh so I thought I’d share it again…just in time before you hit the garage sales tomorrow morning.

Google frowns on duplicate content (just found that out a few months ago) so I’m linking to it instead of reposting it again.  You’ll find it here:  Garage Sailing Tips: Don’t Forget the Headlock Maneuver.  Hope it gives you a chuckle this Friday evening. 🙂

Pssst: I’m still adding new links behind all the categories at the top of BNOTP, so stop back by this weekend and click ’em!  Also, the picture links have been enlarged so it’s much easier to get a view of the post behind the link now.

I certainly don’t have any yet lol because I am just trying to get started with blogging. It is proving to be more difficult than I thought, :0/ but hopefully I will get the hang of it soon! lol Hope you have a great weekend! You’ve inspired me to see what treasures I can find today! :0)

  4. Garage Sailing. I like it. Instead of watching the Olympics this morning I could b e garage sailing.

  5. I think the photo came from a book making fun of Martha Stuart. It was a good one! Yes, I love a good garage sale or sail! It’s like being a kid in a candy store! I’m at the lake this weekend and suffering from withdrawal.

  6. LOL! Your post pic made me laugh! Been meaning to get to garage sailing, but have not yet had the time.

  7. I did indeed go out today. My married daughter came into town to go with me and we got to the end of sale, hot and tired, and I spotted a cabinet that could be used for our kitchen. For $10! My husband drove by to look at, said no, came home and then went back and looked at it again. Sometimes you just have to be persuasive! Here’s hoping it will paint well and be a great deal!

  8. 4 words—World’s Longest Yard Sale—thanks for the tips!!
