My Favorites In One Spot

One of the most popular posts here at Between Naps On The Porch are the ones where I share products I really like or that make my life a little easier.  Whenever I use something (like this morning when I was putting on mascara) I think, “This would be a good thing to share in a “10 Things I Can’t Live Without post.” Unfortunately, when I finally get around to creating those posts, I can’t always remember what I wanted to share.

I often get emails from folks asking for the name of something I’ve mentioned or a link to where they can find it. Since I purchase a lot of things via Amazon these days for convenience and for their great prices, I’ve put together a Between Naps On The Porch shop where I’ve added those products I enjoy using and enhance my life. You’ll find the entrance to the shop lower down on the right sidebar, just look for the red door.

If you subscribe to Postcards From The Porch, the BNOTP newsletter, you got an early preview since I mentioned it and linked to it in the newsletter this past weekend. I’ve added a lot more items since then.

BNOTP Favorites

As I put this little shop together, I included a few things I purchased elsewhere, but later found they were available for less (sometimes a lot less!) on Amazon. Anytime you need to buy something, check Amazon first because I’ve found you’ll often find it there for less.

You’ll find items I’ve added grouped by category, so look to the right once you enter the store for the different categories.

I really like their return process when something doesn’t work out. You simply visit “Your Orders” at Amazon, print off the return slip, and put the package on the front porch to be picked up. Or, just drop it off at your local UPS.

As I’ve added items to my BNOTP shop, I’ve tried to include some information about why I like the item or how I use it. So look for that in the description under each item. I’ve also tried to include a link back to a post on the blog where I’ve used that item, so you can see it in use.

Each day as I think of new things to add, I’ll update the store. So check back occasionally as it’s sure to change/grow.

I hope this proves helpful. I think it will save a lot of time and frustration, not having to go back and search for an old post to get the source for flatware or something you may remember me using in a table setting or in my home.

  1. That is a clever concept Susan. I shall be knocking on your Red Door, frequently!! 🙂

  2. Hi Susan,

I love Amazon and I love Prime. I also want to tell your readers about smile.amazon.com. If you log on here you can also pick a charity that amazon gives a portion of the purchase price to.

    What is AmazonSmile?
AmazonSmile is a simple and automatic way for you to support your favorite charitable organization every time you shop, at no cost to you. When you shop at smile.amazon.com, you’ll find the exact same low prices, vast selection and convenient shopping experience as Amazon.com, with the added bonus that Amazon will donate a portion of the purchase price to your favorite charitable organization. You can choose from nearly one million organizations to support.

    • Carla, I just signed up for Prime a few weeks ago since I order so much from Amazon. I’ll have to check out AmazonSmile! Thanks!

  3. Knock, Knock….What a great idea! Thanks for make it easy to check out your great ideas!

  5. That’s a great idea and I’ve already checked it. I was hoping your “Summer Breeze” sign from your beautiful porch would be on the list. 🙂

  6. OMG!! Why did you post this? I need those nautical glasses! They would match the plates. Why do you do these things to me? LOL

  7. I buy from Amazon often as well – for many products…..and in case most folks don’t realize – you can go to smileamazon.com and whenever you purchase from Amazon you can name your favorite charity and % of your purchases are donated. Right now I am helping my two niece’s cheerleading teams!

Somehow I feel less guilty knowing my spending is helping, even just a little. Less guilt is a good thing, right? : – )

  8. Thank you for doing this! Love so much of what you post, and now I know the sorce of some of it.
I use Amazon.smile, too. It’s such an easy way for me to automatically support my favorite dog rescue group.

  12. My favorite comment was “This would be good to share and then I forget”. I actually did giggle out loud (GOL??). Welcome to advancing age!

  13. Susan, you will hear me knock, knocking on your door! What a good idea! Thanks for all the sharing you do with your readers. This is just one thing that sets your blog apart from others. You are so willing to share your patterns and where you bought various items. You remain my very favorite blog and mentor!

Susan, I went shopping there the other day. So proud of you for another great feature! I know there will be a million other things you’ll think to add, lol. It could become quite time consuming! Just think of all your winter survival lists — I still use the Lip Butter balm you recommended.

I don’t know what we’d do without Amazon. I do like to support local businesses, but we live out a bit so having things delivered right to your door is great. We’ve had Prime for years, and it is so worth it. I can’t believe this, since we’ve been shopping with Amazon since the 90s, but I’ve never heard of Amazon Smile. So glad some ladies mentioned it. Also, they now have a feature to match you with local tradespeople. If you need your house cleaned, or whatever, you can get on Amazon and see who covers your area. I just recently discovered that so thought I’d pass it on. 🙂

  15. We love Amazon!…especially Amazon Prime in our home. Anything you need, but can’t find is usually found on Amazon. Find or see something you like, but don’t know where to look for it…try Amazon! They have just about EVERYTHING! Thanks for sharing with us Susan!

  16. I have already entered your very pretty and inviting door to review some of the items. I am so glad you posted this. You have so many things I see and admire and now I will know where to shop for these items. Thank you for sharing this with all of us.

Susan, just when I thought your blog couldn’t get any better, here you go coming up with another terrific idea! I am loving this as you always find such useful products. Love the red door invitation to visit idea. Amazon is my go-to online store—such great deals. Hugs!

  18. I order often through Amazon but go through their AmazonSmile” program where they will donate to a charity on their list. I support “The Cat Shoppe” which is a store and cat rescue program in Nashville. I did all of my Christmas shopping through AmazonSmile so I could support the shop. Very rarely there is something through Amazon that does not qualify for the AmazonSmile program. The prices are the same and I just like that a donation goes to cats in need. 🙂
