Welcome to the 401st Tablescape Thursday!
Since I knew I wouldn’t be able to put together a table this week (the two tables I normally use are out of commission at the moment as seen HERE) I stopped into Pottery Barn to see what they had in for spring and summer.
They had their patriotic vibe in full swing! The cherry plates and the pretty blue and white swirl plates are available here: Summer Dishware
I like the simplicity of this centerpiece. If you don’t have matching lanterns, no problem. I think it would be just as pretty with a mixture of different lanterns.
Near the window I spied a table with a nautical theme.
Have you seen the Nantucket dishware they have in for summer?
It has a nautical theme with a cute rope edge around the salad plates and napkins. The salad plates all depict a different nautical theme like sailing ships, anchors, whales, etc… The dinner plate is trimmed with a navy blue edge. I love this pattern!
The Nantucket dishware is available here: Nantucket Dishware The adorable nautical rope napkin rings with a gold anchors attached are available here: Napkin Rings Those are going on my wish list…love them!
They also had matching lighthouse salt and pepper shakers. I love this whole pattern. Makes me want to take a trip to Nantucket!
These are so much fun for summer.
This set is available here: Sea Critter Salad Plates
I liked the packaging…isn’t this a hoot? lol
The placemats are awesome! They also have matching trays.
Notice the enamel flatware on this table. I’ve been so tempted to buy some in the past because I love the neat colors in comes in. This comes in pink, navy, aqua and white for summer. It’s currently on sale here: Enamel Flatware
Another pretty table for two…
This was such a pretty soft blue and it’s available here: Figural Fish
See anything that’s calling your name? I love summer, so many cute patterns for entertaining!
If you are participating in Tablescape Thursday, please be sure to add your permalink below, and not your general blog address. To get your permalink, click on your post name, then copy and paste the address showing in the address bar, into the “url” box when you link up. You’ll need to include a link in your post back to the party to link up and participate.
That’s so visitors to your blog will be able to find the party and the other Tablescape Thursday participants. Requiring a link back also prevents businesses and scammers from linking up to sell their products. (Yep, that really happens, unfortunately.)
Please, don’t add your post name/blog name ALL IN CAPS…it tends to create big spaces between the rows of links.
Please do not link up table settings that were just recently shared in the last few weeks for Tablescape Thursday.
They are pros at conveying a theme, like patriotic or nautical, in such an understated way. Love the lanterns as a centerpiece–I can do that!
Oh boy I love those cherry and nautical plates. I’ll have to go look at PB! I hope your able to get the porch put back together and all your goodies put back. You know if I was there I’d be talking you into changing the arrangement just because I’m annoying like that! Wishing you a pleasant Memorial Day weekend!
Have a great Memorial Day, Liz! Hope you’ll be doing something fun!
Susan, I always find inspiration at Pottery Barn with their beautiful table settings. This post makes me want to take home some of those cute red, white, and blue plates. ‘-) Happy Memorial Day Weekend!
Thanks, Sarah…hope your’s is awesome! I think I’ll be planting shrubs this weekend!
Some days I think I’d rather live at Pottery Barn then my own home. Ha!
🙂 lol I’ve been eyeing their white slip-covered sofas, dreaming of living in a cute cottage one day.
Too bad I don’t have time to run to Pottery Barn before company comes tonight because some of those pieces would be great on one of my tables.
Hope you had a great dinner party, Linda!
Too bad Pottery Barn is an hour and a half away because some of the pieces would be perfect one of tonight’s tables.
So interesting, Susan. We were in Naples FL the first week of May and they had all the same tablescapes set up there, so they must dictate uniformity in their store displays (I took pictures). I like the first table, with the cherry plates.
Thanks for hosting us amid your mayhem at home. Hope things are wrapped up in time for you to enjoy your weekend.
Yep, an associate there told me that once. She said they get directions or pictures or something that shows them exactly how to set it. I guess a designer somewhere comes up with the design. Have a wonderful weekend, Rita!
Octopi seem to be an “in” thing lately. I was recently at a shop in Calabash, NC and saw a lot of octopus items that I have never seen before. I also love the lanterns on the centerpiece.
I know, they are popping up everywhere, it seems!
I have the sea life plates and the matching table runner–I love them, and they go quite well with my Pottery Barn Mr. Sharkie beverage holder (from last year).
I can’t believe summer is already here, but it is! Love the summer tablescapes.
Thanks again for another great Tablescape Thursday. Have a great rest of your day, Susan. :0)
Oh, I bet those do look great with Mr. Sharkie! Elena, if you don’t already have that shark flatware that I have, you need it! 🙂
Tickled pink to see this post. Friends invite us every year to spend time with them at their oceanfront home in Nantucket and I always stress about what hostess gift to bring. This year PB will make it super easy. I know they will love those napkin rings, some fresh table linens and if TSA will allow, my homemade blueberry, lemon and raspberry macarons.
Hi Susan, I recently purchased the cherry plates and the blue dishes and I can’t wait to use them for a picnic! I would love visiting a real PB with you to ooh and aah over the ideas. Thanks for hosting this very fun party. Linda
