Questions…Do You Have Questions?

Do you have a question for me?

I often have this nagging feeling that I’ve missed answering a question someone has asked. One day when I was surfing Blogland, I noticed another blogger had a “Question Day”…so to speak.

So here’s your chance! 🙂 Do you have a question for me? Would you like to know where I purchased something you have seen on my blog? Are you curious what I do all day that keeps me from being able to visit your wonderful blogs as often as I’d like? Do you want to know how to embed a video into your blog…something I’ve just learned to do recently? Whatever you want to ask, I’ll try to answer…if I can.

E-mail your question to me at [email protected] and sometime soon I’ll post your question, minus your name, of course…with hopefully an answer. All questions will be anonymous…so ask whatever you like. (If you leave your question here in the form of a comment, I am guessing you won’t mind my publishing it with other comments.)

It’s a gorgeous day here in Georgia, albeit, a bit chilly. The sun is shining brightly so it seemed like the perfect day to share a cute little present I bought just before Christmas. I had intended on making it a Christmas gift for someone, but, the night I wrapped all my Christmas presents, I was watching Desperate Housewives and got distracted. (LOL) So….I forgot to put a name tag on it…have you ever done that?

A couple of weeks ago, I finally got around to opening the box to see what was in it…it was this neat bulb kit, complete with bulbs, “soil” and a little basket. Don’t worry…I bought several presents for the person for whom the gift was intended…so all is well! 🙂

I followed the directions and stuck them down in the peat mossy looking stuff they came with…and LOOK…

They are starting to shoot up…

I’m having a little trouble remembering exactly what they are…

But, I’m pretty sure they are supposed to be Paperwhites. Now if I can just remember to water them from time to time, you might be seeing these in a future tablescape. 🙂

Monday is Metamorphosis Monday…Yipee, I can’t wait! What have you been re-doing in your neck of the woods? Can’t wait to see all the great Before and Afters!

  1. Dearest Susan,
I am so delighted that I came across your blog. I really am enjoying it!

    You have a lovely blog.

Hopefully in the near future I will send you a picture of some redecorating we are doing in our old stone house.

It is a new adventure for us for sure.

    God Bless ya,
    Deanna from the Kansas Flinthills

Yes, I have a question, I wanted to know on your screen porch, did you use an outdoor paint on your hutch. My house we had in the city, had a screen in porch across the back and pollen and mildew were an issue. Just wondering what you do to prevent this. But your porch is much larger, you may not have this problem. Before we add a porch on the back, I want to be prepared! lol

(Been a bit "busy", as you know!)~ Came by to see everything I've missed HERE, etc., & it appears I can NOW ask a question for which I personally cannot figure out an answer~~~ How DO you "DO" all you "DO"? I mean, there A-R-E only 24 hours in a day, you DO work outside the home AND run an incredible blog, "ETC."!!! Are you one of those who requires little sleep, or one that just LOSES it BECAUSE she's got so much she wants to accomplish??? You and our dear Gollum always just AMAAAAAAZE me w/ your energy!!! XOXOXO Linda

  5. Hey Susan~ I’d like to know if you are a professional decorator or if you just do your own house? Do you have a degree or education in interior design or just naturally talented in this area? (or both!) And in what field is your full time job? OK..that’s three questions, but they all tie together! 🙂

  6. Happy To Be says

Susan I will email you with my question I have been wanting to ask you..hope you have a great weekend..Gl♥ria

  7. No questions, Susan, but kudos with your blog; my neighbor Catherine made me aware of it, and it’s truly outstanding. You go, girl!

  8. Tee hee hee! I can’t count the number of times I’ve found a gift many months after the fact. Love the paperwhite bulbs, I think they were meant to stay with you anyway! ♥ Diane

But, I can tell others that I was having issues with loading photos & getting my blog to lay out as I so loved yours. After sending you an email… your answer helped me so much! And now, if some one is new to blogging I always try to reach out & pay it forward with what little knowledge I have. THANK YOU for being kind sweet giving you!

just wanted to say i love your new header~

  18. Hi, Susan!
I was wondering if you ever use Rub and Buff on any of the painted items you do and if so what colors and techniques?
    Thanks,
    Nina

  19. Hi Susan, Thos are cute bulbs/plants! My queestion was already asked by Mom (Linda) so I’ll just wait to read your answer. Have a nice weekend. Come join me visit the Virgin Mary’s house on my blog when you have time….Christine

  20. Susan,
For those of us who are new to Blogland, could you answer this? I keep reading posts that say to cut and paste buttons on your sidebar (like for Tablescape Thursday). I don’t have anything labeled sidebar on my blogspot dashboard and when I try to cut and paste buttons, they don’t appear. Is there a way to set your dashboard to include a sidebar? How do I cut and paste those buttons?

  21. What a beautiful home you have! Those bulbs are so sweet poking up out of the basket. It gives me hope that Spring will come!

I have heard of your blog and wanted to come over and say hi!

    Jen

  22. LdyDy Loves Cake says

This is a good idea. I have found a couple of times that I have asked a couple of other bloggers a question, but I never got a response. I can see how busy it can get at times and questions can be missed. By the way..I always enjoy visiting you! Huggy Hugs!

  23. Susan,
I am so glad you asked the question about questions! Yeah! I love your front door and have bought a basket (not as cute as yours – but $2 at GW) and painted it white. Where did you get those lovely daisies and how many did it take to get the overflowing effect? The ones I see are in bunches – not individual. Thanks, Linda@nina’s nest

  24. I love paperwhites and they have been blooming at Linderhof since January — I think their smell is heavenly — a taste of spring. Yours will be pretty in that basket — Enjoy

  25. Hi Susan! I have a question…. how do you feel? Is the dreaded cough gone yet? Did the new meds work? And, why don’t I live in Georgia so that I could go to the GA blogger lunch? Have a great Sunday. Can’t wait to see what your Met Monday brings!

  26. Terri and Bob says

I am hoping to have a Met Monday post in a couple of weeks!

    No questions this go around!

  27. Hi Susan,

I tried to post earlier but my computer did something strange and went blip!
I have two questions. Where do you go to find blog pics off the internet…such as the ones you used at the top of this post? Is there a site that you go to?
Now here’s my next very serious question. 🙂 I knew we both liked Desperate Housewives. I’ve always felt the characters were written in such a way that we could identify in some way to each one of them…even Edie! Lol What characters do you relate to and why? :-)) L~

  28. Nanny Goats In Panties says

Yeah, I use that “Oops I forgot to put a name tag” excuse on gifts that I want to keep for myself too.

    😉

  29. What program did you use to create your lovely mosiac banner? So many good questions ~ looking forward to your responses! Have a wonderful week in good old GA. I am coming for a visit in early May!

  30. Dear Susan,
I just saw this post, what a great idea! I’m wondering what you do for a living and especially if it involves the other kind of thinking such as accounting or business. I would also love to know what your hubby thinks of the blogging and what he does around the home and for his career. Here’s another kind of offbeat question. Do you ever have any help with cleaning etc. or do you manage all this on your own? If you do, where do you find the energy? Love your blog, Cindy @ Applestone Cottage.
