We’re Off on a Safari for this Week’s Tablescape Thursday!

Welcome to the 733rd Tablescape Thursday! I wasn’t sure what I’d be sharing for Tablescape Thursday this week because it’s been a crazy, busy week. I’m typing this at 4 am because I literally can’t sleep! When I’m planning home renovations, I find it hard to turn my brain off.

This week I’ve been getting a lot of painting, electrical, and plumbing quotes. Today I had painters, plumbers, and electricians here in my home, two of the three were working and one was giving me a quote for future work. I finally got around to replacing my very old hot water heater, and while the plumber was here, I had him do a few more things that were more or less convenience items. I’ll share more on that later in case you find it helpful.

So why am I getting so many quotes? I’m close to ready to start the process of completing my basement renovation. The whole basement will be included in this process, both the partially finished, the unfinished side, and a good size storage space. I’m looking forward to sharing more about that real soon.

With all that’s been going on, I didn’t get a chance to set a table, but I have a wonderful safari-themed table to share that I know you’ll love as much as I did. Recently, I received a lovely email from Norma who lives in the south of France. Norma said, “On Monday I had an email from friends who were in the area who asked if they could come to see us today! As you can imagine this was quite short notice, but of course, they will come to lunch. I decided to cook South African food and do a tablescape to match.”

Norma put together a fabulous table in short order and it turned out beautifully! I love all the details and the colors are so perfect for autumn.

Beautiful Safari Animal Themed Table

Love the leopard-patterned table runner down the center–or is that a cheetah pattern? Notice how the appetizer/salad plates mimic that same design. Even the candles coordinate perfectly!

Safari Themed Table in Autumn Colors

Love the animal napkin holders….so cute! You’ll find napkin holders very similar to Norma’s here: Napkin Holders.

Thanks so much to Norma for sharing this delightful table setting!
