A Springtime Tablescape

Welcome to the 82nd Tablescape Thursday!

At last, the daffodils are beginning to bloom. I was so happy to see their sunny faces, I decided it was time for a springtime tablescape.

The beautiful tablecloth and napkins I used for this week’s tablescape are from the April Cornell, Genevieve Collection.

When I found these floral (bee skep) covered-soup tureens at Old Time Pottery around six months ago, I thought they would be perfect for a spring or summer tablescape.

Little did I know how perfect they were going to be…

Imagine my surprise when I placed them on the table and realized they had the exact same blue flower as my tablecloth from April Cornell! Can you see the little blue Morning Glory on the tablecloth?

With bees buzzing ’round the tureens…

I pulled out my La Rochere Bee glassware for this table. It’s available here: Bee Glassware

Bee flatware is available here: Bee Flatware

Napolean Bee Flatware

Doesn’t this say, It’s Springtime!

This darling sunny-yellow creamer and sugar are a gift from my sweet friend, Sue, whose blog is Rue Mouffetard.  Thank-you, Sue…love ’em!

Since the daffodils are so late in coming up this year, I didn’t have as many for my floral arrangement as I would have liked.

So…I shopped the house and found some lovely dried lavender hanging in the guest room. I popped it right down into the center of my daffodils.

I so wish you had a scratch and sniff monitor! Try to imagine the sweet scent of daffodils…just for this moment…

A bright, sunshiny day!

Looking forward to seeing your beautiful tablescapes!

  75. Well, Spring has certainly sprung at your home. I would just love to sit at that table right now and have a tea. The weather near Ottawa today is +20 (almost 70 F) so we are really enjoying being outside today. I just walked my dog Kane and while at the park he found one pile of snow left on the ground and he just plunked himself down on it and wouldn't move. I guess some of us are not as anxious to say good-bye to Winter. Have a great day Susan. Deb

  76. The Southern Belle says

That yellow and blue combination is always a winner. I'm not really sure why, but I seem to gravitate to that color scheme. My very first apartment had a yellow and blue theme, though not nearly as elegant as your table. Beautiful display, Susan. I adore the morning glory on the tureen AND the table linens. What good fortune to have made that match!

  77. Lana K. W. Austin says

I don't have a tablescape this week, but I love to stop by and see everyone else's and just wanted to say that I LOVE your spring homage! Coveting is a sin…and I'm trying not to…..I LOVE your daffodils…we're in Huntsville and things have still been super cold. It's spring break for the kids…but not in weather–hopefully tomorrow will be warm and we'll go to the carousel…and maybe some flowers will start to peak out! Until then, your tablescape is SOOOO bright and cheery! I was just a OTP today!!!
    Blessings to you, Lana

  78. I love this! The blue and yellow is so lovely together and you have the 'bees' all over the table. 🙂
Everything looks like a gorgeous spring day!
