I’ve added some wonderful Christmas books to my decor library over the years and I’ve been eagerly awaiting the time when I could start sharing a few of those with you. Today’s featured book is one I always pull off the shelf to enjoy this time of year as I decorate my home for the holidays.
In the BNOTP Library: Nell Hill’s O Christmas Tree
Author: Mary Carol Garrity
Hardcover: 144 pages
Book Size: 9.2 x 0.8 x 12.3
3 Things I Like About This Book:
- I’ve never purchased a book by Mary Carol Garrity that I didn’t love, this one included. Pictures are gorgeous and because this book is much larger in size than those Mary Carol has written in the past, you can really appreciate all the beautiful decor. She shares decorating ideas for every room of the home and even some outdoor spaces.
- I was never able to make it to Kansas to attend any of the Christmas open houses Mary Carol has held at her own home over the years, so I was thrilled to see so many beautiful pictures depicting her own home decorated for the holidays.
- If you love decorating with natural greenery, you’ll find a lot of wonderful examples and displays of that throughout this book. The Christmas decor featured is traditional but never boring or stuffy. Everything is so tastefully done, nothing extreme or garish, just beautiful Christmas decor that feels warm and inviting.

Well timed; not too early to be “thinking” about Christmas decor. Love how Amazon lets you peek in at a few pages.
I am a fan of Mary Carol Garrity and her books. I was fortunate enough to tour her home in Atchison, KS on three different occasions, and our son lives minutes away from her Nell Hill’s store in Kansas City, so I get to go there and be amazed every time! Check out my blog for lots of photos from her home and her store. Just scroll down the right side and clip on “Nell Hill’s” or “Mary Carol Garrity”.
Looking forward to this one a lot!
