Welcome to the 42nd Tablescape Thursday!
The Faerie Ball…by Susan Settje
I dream a dream of faerie queens and kings…
In forest glade where I know faeries dwell.
The full moon dancing as the zephyr sings…
…through cedar boughs and round the wishing well.
Oh romance sweet, a brave and noble knight…
…to princess fair was married on this day.
A royal banquet, such a festive sight.
Great merriment, we’ll dance the night away.
Sir Owl, from high atop a lofty pine, acts sentinel.
All’s well; his distant call.
In shadowed woods the new born fawns recline…
…too young to be at this year’s faerie ball.
No, don’t wake me just yet,
it’s almost dawn,
Come sunrise, all the faeries will be gone.
Enchanting tablescapes await your visit this evening…enjoy!

Wonderful tablescape, as usual! You always knock them right outta the park, Susan! You've turned me into a Colonial Candle junkie. I've bought both of the candle lanterns you've recently shown us (in fact, I used one in tonight's tablescape).
Your story about the fairies is so enchanting. I've got a "fairy door" on my front porch so that the wee folks can come on in.
I LOVE how you've mixed the BL china with your other ironstone. Your flowers are gorgeous. This is an enchanted tablescape!
Everything looks soft and romantic. Beautiful! The lantern is so pretty and adds so much to the table. I love your monogrammed napkins. The honeysuckle is so pretty.
Susan,
Simply Stunning ! Love the mix of whites and that lantern (love it) !
Thanks for being such a gracious hostess.

Oh Susan, this is totally enchanting! I actually gasped when I first saw it. I LOVE that lantern, and the pitcher full of honeysuckle. So beautiful!
Hi again Susan!
I just wanted to say that my lacey sleeves with my other flowered napkins are old hankies that I've picked up at thrift stores. I keep my eye out for the lacey ones…
That is really beautiful. You know I could see those same dishes in winter with all white, snowflakes, candlelight and maybe some evergreen too. I just love white dshes because they are so easy to use in lots of looks
Debbie

Beautiful tablescape as usual… I really like the white… with the touch of fuchia flowers…
I finally completed the basket of daisies that I bought in April for my front door… thanks for the inspiration! I think I'm going to take your advice and hang it a little lower due to it's length… but I posted a photo today… and I do really love it!

Beautiful work as always…truly dreamy;) French
GORGEOUS! After seeing that yummy bird lantern in your tablescape and another poster's tablescape I took the plunge and ordered it. It seriously took my breath away! I'm normally a never-pay-retail only buy G/W or garage sale kinda gal, but I'll make an exception for something that really wows me. Thanks for the great inspiration!
Beautiful-the table and the story! You are a lady of many talents. laurie
Sorry, I meant the table and the poem! Just lovely. laurie
Susan, this is just beautiful! I love how you put together Towle sterling and china from Big Lots, and it all looks absolutely perfect. Lovely Tablescape!
Cass
This is all so beautiful, Susan. So romantic and cozy. Your husband is one lucky man to come home to this.
Brenda
Your Tablescape with the cream dishes, I think those are the same ones I just purchased at HomeGoods by
Thomson Pottery. I LOVE THEM….so versatile! And the other tablescape with the Magnolia blossom….so beautiful. My magnolia's are about to bloom here in S. Calif! Can't wait to use them on my table, which I have never done! Always inspiration from you! Toni
So beautiful! I love Honeysuckle and your poem delightfully entertaining, photos so large and pretty! I still have not tried to do the stretch! I wrote all the instructions down…..maybe I'll get enough courage to try it! Luanne
I love that honeysuckle in the vase.
Good evening Susan; Loved the sweet story. Your table setting is so beautiful, I really look forward to Thurs. for just this reason. I must say that it is so hard to visit so many, but I do try….
Hugs;
Alaura
After this frantic day (where I posted favorite but old pics) I wish I were there on sipping wine and enjoying the peaceful tranquility. Ahh, I'm taking a deep breath.
A very sweet, different take on the tablescape. Love the poem and each photo of your pretty outdoor table. The dishes are lovely as well as your linens. I like the honeysuckle~just perfect in this setting.
Wonderful…
xoxo
Jane
Susan,
Lovely as always, I enjoyed your poem. Your porch is so nice.
xo
Everything was lovely! The table, the poem, the candle light, the flowers, EVERYTHING! Speaking of the flowers in the pitcher. Was that honeysuckle? So pretty. thanks for sharing.
Those Gibson dishes from Big Lots get used in a lot of tablescape blogs. I'm going to have to invest in myself a set. Can't go wrong for the price they cost. What flowers are they in the white pitcher on the table? Beautiful as always! By the way, I like the music in the background. I do like the lighter background but also liked the other too. What are the complaints you're hearing about the music background? People have a choice of turning down or even off their speakers..let them use them if they don't like the music!
Susan, this tablescape is just beautiful. I love the china, the tablecloth and your flowers are gorgeous! Your photos are the just awesome:)
Dear Susan,
"Come sunrise all the faeries will be gone"…..except I will stay and stay, and with the flowers I will hide and play….the beautiful tablecloth will be my royal rug and on the pretty white dishes, my wings will dance with the ladybugs….
enough of my silly little poem…Susan everything is just as beautiful as a romantic night in paris must be….I love the gorgeous pitcher with the flowers…everything is just perfect…elegant but soft, bold but dainty…I love it
beautiful job
hugs
debbie
Simply stunning! Plus, it is so doable! It's time for a pretty tea party 😀
That is just lovely, Susan.
Funny how Gollum refers to her Gibson china as BL china, and I got mine years ago in LinensNThings.
The flowers are so pretty too!
I picked June 23rd for the WHITE event..after the cloche party…
Glad to have you join in!
What a beautiful blog you have! Thank you for all the tips on posting and on setting up the test site. I have felt "stuck" for quite a while and you have given me tools to improve my blog site – thanks so much!
The table looks beautifu. I just bought the Pink Honeysuckle for my garden. I noticed that the Hummingbirds really love it. Have a great weekend.
Cheers!
-Mrs Peeks Farmhouse
Hi Susan,
You surround yourself with such beauty. I was out planting a few annuals today and praying at the same time….oh Lord…please let them survive. And then I thought of you and your beautiful flowers and the lovely way you incorporate them into your daily living.
I hope you have a very wonderful weekend!
Nola

That is THE most fabulous table cloth ever! Love all of it and the verse!
