Welcome to the 743rd Tablescape Thursday! Oh, I have such a treat for you today! I had planned to drive up to see family for the holidays this Friday. Well, Mother Nature had different plans! A big winter storm was predicted to hit Ohio this Friday so I had to leave two days earlier than planned which disrupted my plans for setting a table this week. Now the weather has changed again and it looks like the predicted storm won’t be happening after all. I think my son and daughter-in-love are disappointed, they were looking forward to a white Christmas this year. I’m totally fine without it, though!
So I wasn’t sure what I’d be sharing today when I left home for the big 9-hour drive up, but I had a wonderful surprise awaiting me when I arrived and got my computer up and running. Jackie’s dining room is truly magical this time of year! Oh my gosh, how gorgeous is this!
I love how Jackie decorated the back of each chair with a red poinsettia for this special Christmas dinner!
Did you notice she carried the poinsettia decor right to her beautiful chandelier?
For her table, Jackie chose the pattern Eternity by Lenox. I love how everything is so beautiful against the backdrop of the black velvet tablecloth! Stunning! Jackie shared that she buys a lot of her linens from Wedding Linens Inc in Dallas.
Her salad plates were a find on Amazon and work beautifully with her Lenox Eternity dinner plates.
Jackie’s beautiful salad plates are available here: Salad Plates.
Jackie has her home decorated beautifully for the holidays.
Looking forward to sharing more of Jackie’s beautiful Christmas decor later this week! Merry Christmas!

Whoa…that is a gorgeous room of festivity!!! Tablescapes are so creative…I’ve been covering candlesticks in rhinestones…now, that’s some sparkle with the Christmas lights. Glad you’re missing brunt of this monster storm…how do you “deal with -40???” Stay MERRY!!! franki
Enjoy your time with your family – with or without snow! I’m glad you are safely there already. And have a VERY Merry Christmas!
Jackie, your dining room is gorgeous. I love the black and gold tablescape. Great job!
Lovely! How nice to arrive to such beautiful Christmas decor. So special to have this time with your family, the best part of the holiday. Merry Christmas to you all.
That’s it, I’m moving into Jackie’s house for Christmas just to enjoy the absolutely beautiful way she has everything decorated! I love the idea of using a black table covering, and velvet is over the top gorgeous. It really enhances her gold Lenox china. I can see that color combination being used even for a New Year’s tablescape. I can’t wait to see the rest of the photos of her home. So to her & to you & your family, have a blessed Christmas.
What a stunning dining room! Good luck dealing with this crazy storm that they are calling a “bomb cyclone”…so dramatic! Here in NJ we’re just supposed to get rain and then freezing temps. Stay safe – and thanks for hosting! Have a Merry Christmas!
Cheers! – Shelley
Gorgeous room…so perfect for Christmas. Glad you had a safe drive…enjoy every minute with your family. Merry Christmas !!!
Susan, I echo the ‘Stunning’ comment! LOVE the plates. Have a wonderful family Christmas visit. We are hunkering down under about a foot of snow and blizzard warnings for the rest of the week. Ahhh….lucky enuf to sit tight and enjoy the snowy view with hot chocolate and yummy food!
Black velvet…how classy! Especially with the gold touches. Love those poinsettias on the chairs. And as Snowflake said, this could be used for New Year’s too; or with a quick change to white/silver with the black.
Oh my gosh Jackie’s table – and her decor – are gorgeous!! So great of you both to share with us – I want to find some way of adding flowers and garland to my chandelier too! Not linking up today because I don’t have anything remotely new, but I can’t wait to dive into the beautiful tablescapes everyone has posted. Thanks so much for hosting for all these years, and I hope you get even a tiny bit of snow for a white Christmas. Happy Holidays!
Wow! What a stunningly decorated dinning room. Jackie never disappoints does she?! Love her table setting, so elegant and fine dining at it’s best. Love how she decorates everything from the table to the chairs to the chandelier. Just so gorgeous! Glad you arrived at your son’s house safely Susan. We got a dusting of snow this morning, then freezing rain and now rain with high winds. Winds are to get worse tomorrow and all the mess of the rain will flash freeze tomorrow as our temps will drop to 10 to o degrees. Not looking forward to that! lol Could be worse though and would have a blizzard. So I will not look a gift horse in the mouth. Have a beautiful Christmas with your family! Hugs, Brenda
The dining room looks so warm and inviting! Thank you for sharing it. Have a beautiful Christmas, and thank you for hosting!
I rarely have a tablescape to share, but I was inspired this season to do a red transferware and Tartan table. Thanks so much for hosting. Have a wonderful Christmas, Susan!
What an absolutely beautiful and festive dining room – lovely job, Jackie! And Susan, thank you as always for the opportunity to link up and gather so much inspiration! Merry Christmas to all!
