Welcome to the 96th Tablescape Thursday!

Independence Day is just around the corner…time for a little Red, White and Blue!

Red, White & Blue Table for Patriotic Holiday

Martini glasses are from Dollar Tree.

I could just see them filled with fruit, maybe raspberries and blueberries with lots of fluffy whipped cream. Wouldn’t that be perfectly patriotic for this tablescape? Flatware is by Gourmet Setting and is available here: Gourmet Settings Silver Tear

  11. SSSOOOOOOO CUTE! And I am IN LOVE with those Lanterns!! I will totally have to go to Old Time Pottery next time I go see my parents.

  12. Yvonne @ StoneGable says

    Hi Susan,
You set a star spangled table! How could anyone resist this partiotic red, white and blue beauty?

I am taken by your stellar white plates~ I guess I have not met a white plate I didn't love. The looped edge of the one plate looks fantastic with the rope effect of your flatware. That really caught my eye! A brilliant combination.

What a beautiful porch! And in the candle and lamp light it is soooo inviting!

I am just wondering, do you leave your lamps outside when it rains or when you have a thunderstorm. Do they get wet? Everytime I see your porch it is so clean! Living out in the middle of farm fields I am constantly battling field dirt and pollen. Do you have a struggle keeping the white wicker furniture so clean and BEAUTIFUL!!!!
You have an eye for lovely things and put them together in the best way!
Such a pleasure to visit tonight.
    Yvonne

  13. Susan, I just keep falling in love with your porch all over again! I really love the red, white & blue lanterns. They are just beautiful. Thanks for letting us see the porch from different angles… so pretty.
    Carolyn

  14. Rettabug says

Very, Very Patriotic, Susan!! I like the bold, graphic nature of this tablescape. The lanterns make awesome centerpieces…I used 2 tiny ones in mine this week…what a difference in their size!!! LOL

I ♥ your pretty white chargers as well as that new lantern. The porch looks absolutely lovely!!!

    fondly,
    Rett

    HI SUSAN,
LOVE YOUR FESTVE 4TH OF JULY TABLE.
    JUST BEAUTIFUL. NICE LANTERNS TOO!
I LOVE USING THOSE MYLAR STARS TOO,
THEY ADD MORE TO THE FESTIVITY OF IT ALL!! YOUR PORCH IS BEATIFUL AS WELL. LOOKS LIKE A GREAT PLACE FOR SIPPING ON LEMONADE AND EATING COOKIES!!
THANKS FOR HOSTING HON, AS ALWAYS!!
    BLESSINGS GALORE, NELLIE

  17. laurie @ bargain hunting says

Susan, this is so festive. I love the patriotic colors in your beautiful porch. And I love that flatware – it so striking. Thank you for hosting. laurie

  18. Susan (Between Naps on the Porch) says

Yvonne…thanks for those sweet words! The lamps stay out year round…even in the winter time. The only lamp that ever gets rained on is the wicker one near the windows…and that only happens during tornado type blowing winds…maybe 3 times a summer. I've never had a problem with it getting a little damp…and it's been out there 3 years now. All the outlets are the outdoor kind and have the protective covers on them.
The porch gets realllly messy during pollen season…the rest of the time it just needs a quick dusting and vacuuming about once a month…takes about 15 minutes. I think it stays fairly clean because it's a full story up off the ground.

  19. This is such a fun and beautiful tablescape.
Love the blue hour shots…I've never been able to capture it..but I'm trying.:)
    xo bj

  20. Allie and Pattie says

Okay, I REALLY want the flatware! And the lanterns are just wonderful! Great table and thank you so much for hosting- we love Thursdays!
    xoxo Pattie

  21. Sugar, your table settings are just adorable and always a delight to see. However, if I had all those dishes and settings I'd be in the poor house and Love Bunny would clip my wings so fast I wouldn't see them falling to the floor, chick!! How EVER do you find the time to come up with all those settings? I'm so jealous I could just pop over and steal some if I didn't live in the northwest, sweetpea! Just beautiful, I tell ya, just beautiful!
    xoxo,
    Connie

  22. This has to be one of my very favorites of all the tablescapes you've done! Almost 100 Tablescape Thursdays, Susan! Fireworks and champagne will be in order when that momentous milestone is reached!!!

Everything's perfect — the concept, design, execution, photography. It's sophisticated, yet approachable. The red & blue stars scattered about the table provided the perfect finishing touch (and I know you didn't just toss them on the table — that doesn't just happen!).

Festive, beautiful, patriotic, and inspiring. A true tour de force — brava!

    Warmest regards,
    Bill

  23. Amy @MaisonDecor says

That flatware really caught my eye! It is so striking! I hope you can find another set to add with yours. Love & blessings from NC!

  26. Linda G. says

This table is so attractive! I always love red, white and blue, and I can see my guests having a lot of fun with the little scattered stars! I've been wondering if you are going to rehang the white sheers? I remember a post of yours which showed them billowing in the breeze and I thought it must make you feel cooler just to look at them blowing! Thanks for a beautiful table, as usual! Linda

  27. Susan (Between Naps on the Porch) says

Hi Linda, You know, I thought for sure I'd hang them right back up…I had just taken them down for a wash since they had been up for 2 years. But, I've found myself craving the openness of the porch, lately. I can't make up my mind whether to hang them back, or not. I do miss seeing them swaying in the breezes, though.
That was very perceptive of you to notice! I was wondering if anyone would notice I hadn't put them back up, yet. 🙂

  28. Donna (Timeless Settings) says

Susan, I love your red, white and blue table! The lanterns are just a perfect touch. Thank you for hosting this party! This is my fourth time and I am having so much fun and finding great blogs too!!

    Hi, Susan!

What a festive tablescape! I love everything about it, and your porch looks especially welcoming in these shots. That has got to be one of the cutest rooms ever. It just beckons the viewer to come and sit.

You always have the cutest tablescapes, and this one is adorable… love those red, white, and blue lanterns, the goblets you found at the "Tree," the dishes, and of course, our mutual twisty flatware (thanks for the nice nod!). I still cannot get over the fact that you found four place settings for that great price! If I see any more at Marshall's down here, I will grab some for you.

I'm up early (couldn't sleep… might have something to do with the HUGE meal I had a lunch including the world's best blueberry buckle), and I thought I would come by for a visit before I attempt to go back to LaLa Land. Well, I guess I live there, but back to the Land of Nod. 😉

    Happy Tablescape Thursday to you…

    XO,

    Sheila 🙂

Susan, thank you for your comments. I'm excited to find 'birds of a feather' with whom to share my passion for tablescapes and entertaining. Replacements.com has 20 entries for peg nappy, and eBay is currently listing 8 auctions under peg nappy. I've always called them pegged nappy, but they seem to show up under the singular 'peg' nappy. You're going to use them often if you buy them.
The red, white & blue tablescape is wonderful. I can imagine that it was hard to get up from that lovely table in time to watch the fireworks! Cherry Kay
