Welcome to the 902nd Tablescape Thursday! There were a couple of table settings that I didn’t get a chance to share before Christmas, and they are way too wonderful to wait another whole year! Selma often hosts fabulous tea parties, and just before Christmas, she hosted a Christmas tea party for the lovely staff who work at the cat clinic where Selma takes her sweet kitties. Selma wrote, “I hosted Christmas Tea again for some of the staff from my wonderful cat clinic this past Sunday. I’ve come to realize that I love the camaraderie of getting ready, and even the laughter and chatter of the clean-up.”

Before we enjoy Selma’s beautiful tables, let’s take a moment to check out how she decorated her dining room chandelier for this holiday party. I love the berry garland covering the chain! I would be tempted to leave it up all year long!

Sooo pretty!

Selma set two tables to accommodate all her guests. This was the beautiful table she created for the dining room.

The dinnerware is from Williams Sonoma and is called Christmas Forest. Love those deep-green, sparkly, beaded placemats!

It appears there may still be some of this fanciful, forest/animal-themed dinnerware left. It’s on sale, greatly reduced. However, it appears that it may only be available to ship to certain zip codes. You’ll find it on clearance here: Christmas Forest Dinnerware.

Beautiful centerpiece! Selma and her cousin created this centerpiece, along with several other floral centerpieces, for this party.

Selma chose pretty, gold reindeer candleholders for both sides of her beautiful, floral centerpiece here in the dining room.

Let’s take a look at the other table Selma set for her Christmas tea party.

First, I love Selmas’s stunning Christmas tree! The aqua/teal ornaments go so well with her furniture and the beautiful glassware I see in her round-front china/curio cabinet. We see another beautiful hand-created (by Selma and her cousin) floral centerpiece!

The dinner plates are in a pattern called ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. I found it available here: ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas. Selma said, “I also used spoons from my old, gold-plated holly flatware, circa JC Penney, 1989!”

As always, the finger foods and desserts Selma prepared for her tea party look amazing!

Beautiful desserts!

Thanks so much to Selma for sharing this wonderful Christmas tea party! Such a treat getting to see her beautiful Christmas tree, too!

Looking forward to all the beautiful table settings linked for this week’s Tablescape Thursday!

If you are participating in Tablescape Thursday, please be sure to add your permalink below, and not your general blog address. To get your permalink, click on your post name, then copy and paste the address showing in the address bar, into the “url” box when you link up. You’ll need to include a link in your post back to the party to link up and participate. That’s so visitors to your blog will be able to find the party and the other Tablescape Thursday participants. Requiring a link back also prevents businesses and scammers from linking up to sell their products. Please, don’t add your post name/blog name ALL IN CAPS…it tends to create big spaces between the rows of links. Please do not link up table settings that were just recently shared in the last few weeks for Tablescape Thursday.

How lovely and such a treat for the staff. I am sure they appreciate the ongoing Christmas tea party.
Those are both beautiful tables – the centerpieces themselves are worth the trip! How sweet of Selma to host the ones who keep her pets healthy. That’s so thoughtful! Thanks to both of you for sharing, and to you, Susan, for hosting. I love starting the new year with all this inspiration!
Selma sure is good at making people feel welcome! She hosts so many people at so many teas. Those Christmas Forest dishes are so sweet and unique. And a lot of work and preparation goes into all of this. All of the decisions, all of the actual work of setting things up, making the tables pretty, coordinating all the elements, and on top of that, making the food! I’m sure all the attendees appreciated your hard work, Selma. And I appreciate your willingness to share the pictures with Susan so she can share them with the rest of us. Thank you for sharing another pretty and successful tea party with us. Happy New Year to you!
Clearly, Selma & her cousin have some professional decorating blood running through their veins! Everything about their tablescapes & holiday decor was perfectly put together & it all came out beautifully! Great job!
Those Christmas tablescapes were amazing and beautiful to look at but I am so over Christmas now! On to Valentine’s Day and lots of hearts! And we want to see those adorable kitties…..how they are growing up!
What a wonderful tea party to be invited to! Everything looks so lovely and festive. Great decorations to go with the beautiful table settings.
