Halloween Tablescape: Dining in the Killer Cafe

Welcome to the 112th Tablescape Thursday!

We’ve had the most amazing weather here alllll week. Last year’s Halloween tablescape was indoors, but this year I’m still playing out on the porch.

The napkins looked way too plain so I stopped by Hancock Fabrics and purchased some black tulle. It was on sale for .99 cents a yard. I only needed a yard to create sleeves or overlays for my gold napkins.

Beaded napkin rings are from Old Time Pottery…only $1 each.

Flatware is new…found it a few weeks ago at Tuesday Morning.

The creepy tablecloth is from the Dollar Tree. It only took two to cover the table.

We’re having swamp juice tonight as our beverage…hope you’re thirsty! 🙂 How about an eyeball stirrer for your drink? ;).

For my centerpiece I used a fun Witch Halloween Costume Hat. I” also be wearing it to give out candy on Halloween night.

Hope the menu meets with your approval…

Table scaping is too much like work, I'm a catering director. So, I don't normally do them, but, I've been having fun lately. It all started by inviting my in-laws to dinner for their anniversary.

  34. Hi Susan,

You must have had such fun creating this one! The table by candle light is really dramatic — elegant and somehow both eerie and inviting! I particularly liked the shot with the black bird perched atop the menu. It's beautifully composed and has nice movement and energy.

Thank you, as always, for hosting. It's such a pleasure to enjoy the shared creative energy your parties inspire and encourage.

Hope the rest of your week goes well.

You have so many items that I love but favorite is the eyeball stirrers.
    What a fun table.

  46. As always a beautiful table with the fun theme of Halloween. Love your decorations of stick ons too! Thanks for hosting!

  47. Susan, I am lovin this table and that is saying something because I am just not a big Halloween person. To me if you're setting an adult table for Halloween this would be it.

The Fitz & Floyd pieces are perfect, and I love your new silverware too. Your witch's hat is a great piece, it reminds me that I bought one when I was at a craft show a couple of months ago, I'll have to get that out.

For your candelabras were they old silver pieces that you painted black.

Thank you so much for the inspiration, I'm going to get going on my own Halloween table.

  48. Susan (Between Naps on the Porch) says

    Hi Char,
Thanks! Actually, I found those already painted in a local antique/thrift store. You can tell that they were brass prior to being painted. Hope it wasn't really good brass. LOL Probably not, since they painted over them. 🙂

  49. Very nice table –Love the new flatware 🙂 You just know how to pull a tablesetting all together

  50. I'll have the I SCREAM SUNDAY!..and some swamp juice to rinse it down.Eyeeeee love this
