Beach Themed Tablescape

Welcome to the 49th Tablescape Thursday!

For this Tablescape Thursday, I’m taking you to the beach.

I rarely used colorful candles in my tablescapes, but I just loved the way this aqua color worked with the color of the candlesticks.

Look what came in with the tide.

I found this beachy china at Kohl’s last summer…they had it in again this past spring.

I took plain, white, wooden napkin rings and hot glued on large shells to continue our beach theme…

Starfish salad plate…

…and a shell salad plate.

Glassware is from Kohls, too…

An overhead view…

Celebrating summer dining beach side…

with soft, glowing candles…

I’ll leave you with a little tease of what I’m up to for next week’s Tablescape Thursday.

Looking forward to seeing all your beautiful tablescapes!

Susan, your attention to detail is what I believe makes your tablescapes so special. I love the little fishes you added to the candlestick and the shells to the napkin rings. 29. Sharlotte says

    Susan,
This tablescape is just lovely. Those dishes are fun, aren't they? I really like the candles too – they are perfect with this arrangement.

We had those same dishes at our beach cabin. We didn't get to use them once. Hurricane IKE blew through and destroyed our cabin. After the storm we went to see what was left and I'm afraid that our cabin was taken from the posts and carried away. Luckily we did find a few remnants. Some of the items we found were kitchen utensils and three of these same square plates and one lonely starfish plate! We could hardly believe it! Strange how powerful the weather can be yet so gentle!

Thanks for the walk down memory lane. Your post is summery and refreshing.
    Sharlotte

Hi Susan! I am doing a little hand sewing as I am skipping from blog to blog this morning, still trying to see what Pink Saturdays I missed. As I go, however, I am very intrigued with all the beautiful tablescapes! I must confess I have never paid very much attention to such things, except maybe just around the holidays. I certainly was never raised being taught anything about it! I had to learn where to place silverware when I started waitressing years ago! Anyways, I just love all the stunning tablescapes I am seeing today, and am truly inspired by them!.. I feel as though I am far more appreciative of them.. even perhaps a bit more "cultured" perhaps? (0; I will certainly be visiting you and everybody on Thursdays from now on!.. And perhaps as I learn, in time, I'll get to play along with the big girls someday, yes?! (0; Love your beach-themed tablescape! ~tina

  57. I'm relatively new at viewing your table scapes, and I'm just blown away by their interest and beauty. It's like entering an entirely different world. That's what a sit down meal should be like, but I'm sooooooo neglectful of my own table:( Maybe you'll be the one to turn me around. I'll keep dropping in on these table scape Thursdays in hopes of picking up the bug.

  58. Debbie Pearson says

I love your beach side tablesetting. I love looking at all the tablescapes when I have time, just wish I had more time! But then don't we all 🙂

This is my first time commenting on your blog even though I've been visiting for sometime now. This tablescape is absolutely stunning! I can actually hear the waves laping up along the shoreline from here. Those dishes are something I have never seen the likes of before. A beautifully set table compliments any good meal and I can almost taste the seafood you'll be serving on these dishes. TFS! Sheila

    Hello Susan,
Wanted to stop by for a visit today to look at your beautiful table! As always, your beachy table is lovely. Being from Florida, the beach is one of my favorite themes for Tablescapes during the summer months. I adore your dinner plates with the shell and starfish motif. I noticed the glass with the starfish. I have a set exactly like them that came with a pitcher to match. So pretty.
I hope to have my camera issue resolved this weekend so I can once again participate in TT. Now, I am unable to upload new pictures. I see that next week is your 50th tablescape. Are you planning anything special?? Do tell!
    Warmly,
