Beautiful Spode Christmas Tree & Festive Tartan Plaid, A Perfect Match For Christmas!

Happy Friday! I can’t believe it–Christmas is almost here! I have one last beautiful Christmas table setting to share with you!

Beautiful Christmas Table Setting with Spode Christmas Tree Dinnerware

Maureen set a colorful, festive table for her Christmas holiday dinner and I’m in love with all the tartan/plaid in this beautiful table!

Dining with Spode Christmas Tree Dinnerware

Such a beautiful centerpiece! Maureen found the black metal basket in her centerpiece in Pier 1. The two large, candy cane-striped, glass Christmas tree cloches were a find in Pottery Barn this year. They are still available and currently on sale here: Candy Cane Striped Glass Tree Cloches.

Beautiful Christmas Table Centerpiece

Maureen filled the center basket with decorative ornaments found in Pottery Barn, Pier 1, and Home Goods I love the addition of the tartan ball ornament and how it ties back to tartan table linens and charger plates.

If you’ve been reading BNOTP for a while, you may recognize the tartan fabric–it’s the same one I’ve used for my fall/winter bedroom. (View that room here: Master Bedroom in Tartan.) I am wondering if William Sonoma is starting to phase this tartan design out. They’ve been carrying table linens and bedding in this pattern for many years, but I don’t think they had the bedding available this year at all. You’ll find the linens they do have available in this red and green tartan design here: Tartan Table Linens.

Maureen set her table with one of my favorite china patterns–Spode Christmas Tree. Love this design so much! Does anyone else have this pattern? I think I have a few pieces, but not enough to set a full table. I need to fix that, don’t I? Ha! (A 12-pc set is available here: Spode Christmas Tree-12 Piece Dinnerware Set.)

Maureen’s beautiful tartan chargers are from Williams Sonoma and are still available here: Tartan Charger Plates. The pine wreaths surrounding the tartan chargers are from Pottery Barn, but unfortunately, they appear to be sold out here: Frosted Pine Chargers. Love how those look with the tartan chargers!

Did you notice the matching Spode Christmas Tree coasters? (Coasters are available here: Spode Christmas Tree Coasters.) The red stemware is Mikasa French Countryside in the color Ruby Red.

I love the little tree napkin place card holders!

Maureen found her place card holders (and their matching napkin rings) in Williams Sonoma several years back. I found one set of each (place card holders and napkin rings) here: Christmas Tree Napkin Rings & Place Card Holders.)

Maureen chose a pretty red flatware by Hampton Forge for her table.

Thanks so much to Maureen for sharing her beautiful Christmas table! Lucky are the guests who will be dining here on Christmas Day! ♥

A truly lovely table… coordinated but interesting….not cluttered. Love those chargers. Perhaps my favorite of the season. Couldn’t help but think of the thrift store vase that sold for $100,000

  7. Lovely holiday table. The Spode Christmas Tree pattern reminds me of my mom. She had service for 16, glassware, many, many serving pieces, and accessories because my parents entertained frequently. Growing up, Spode was part of my holidays. It was some what bitter sweet to include the Spode, and my mom’s Royal Doulton Miramont china (also service for 16) in the estate sale several years ago. However, I lack storage for multiple sets of china, and neither pattern is my aesthetic. But I do admire a beautifully set table. Thanks for the walk down memory lane!

    Gorgeous! I miss Pier1!

  9. I love the tartan plaids…..any and all. The cloches are beautiful…every thing on the tabe is outstanding. The chargers style were ideal for the plates.

  10. I just couldn’t take my eyes off the chairs.

  11. I’ve always admired the classic Spode pattern but began purchasing the similar (and more budget friendly) Nikko Happy Holidays. It was discontinued a few years ago but is easily found on eBay and in thrift stores, and like the Spode pattern there’s a wide variety of accessories. Merry Christmas!

  12. Oh, love this Spode pattern. I have many pieces and it is always so cheerful. Thanks for sharing this pretty table setting! Happy Holidays Susan! Hope you have a great time this week!

  13. Off topic, but I remember you gave a recommendation for a Christmas tree a few years back. Was it from Home Depot? I was wondering if you could give me details.
    Thank you,
    Sharon

Beautiful table! I love tartan plaid – it’s so classic. I wish I had the Mikasa French Countryside in allllll the colors – the red is so pretty. This table is just so well put together and it’s the epitome of Christmas!

I'd love to hear from you! Please leave a comment!
