Blue and White Dining, Always A Favorite!

Welcome to the 788th Tablescape Thursday! I’m on my way back home today after a fun visit with family. I can’t believe it’s already November, fall is passing by so quickly! After a month of Halloween tables, it’s definitely time for something completely different. Blue and white is one of my favorite combinations and Norma set the prettiest blue and white table recently when she had friends over for dinner.

Blue and White Luncheon Table Setting

The deep blue tablecloth creates such a dramatic backdrop for this elegant setting. The white needlework overlay in the center of the table is handmade, a wonderful find Norma made in a local thrift/charity shop. I wonder if it’s crocheted?

Norma said, “The blue and white plates are by Wood and Sons, an English company. The design is called, Buddha.”

Here’s a closer view of the pattern.

  3. OH! I LOVE blue and white china patterns! I used it for years in my kitchen, first Finlandia then Blue Danube. I still miss it and Norma’s gorgeous table scape is tempting me!!!!! Fantastic way to use a smaller lace piece over a color table cloth, I WILL be using that idea!!!!!
