Welcome to the 34th Tablescape Thursday!
It is sooo pretty out today…why don’t we have dinner out on the porch?
We’ll just keep our table simple with a little daisy arrangement and a few sweet bunnies.
I’m a little excited today because I have some new china to share in this tablescape and it’s has two of my fave colors in it: pink and green. I’ve always loved hot pink, and paired with green, it really feels like spring!
This happy china (salad plates and chargers) came from Marshalls a couple of weeks ago. The price was way too good to pass up, salads were only $1.99 each and the chargers were $2.99 each. The chargers are amazingly heavy and very substantial.
The white dinner plate and bowl are from “Gollum’s china.” Yep, that’s what we are all calling it here in Blogland. Several of us had to rush off to Big Lots and buy this pretty white china when Michael at the blog, Designs by Gollum told us about her amazing purchase. It’s made by Gibson and it comes with six, 6-piece place settings (includes a dinner plate, salad plate, cereal bowl, fruit bowl and cup/saucer) a platter, a large serving bowl, salt and pepper shakers and 6 white, ceramic napkin rings…all for $35! If you have a basic simple white china like this one, you can create so many different table settings by just changing out the salad plate.
Love the chargers…they really say springtime!
A little change of pace this week…no napkin rings for this tablescape. I came across these cute, clip-on, pink and green flowers a couple of months ago in Hobby Lobby. This was several weeks before I found the flowery chargers and salad plates. They were only around $2 for a package of 6. I used them to clip the edge of the napkin to the plate and they really look like they were made to go with the chargers. This table setting would work well for Easter, too.
I love layering and the white china contrast so nicely with the floral layers in this tablescape. I’m convinced, if you can only afford one set of china, make it white. The possibilities are endless.
You may remember these Napoleon Bee glasses by La Rochere from one of my Easter tablescapes. I think you’ll be seeing a lot of these this summer. They are fast becoming my favorite glasses for everyday use. You can just see one of the cute bees on the glass in this pic.
A sweet bunny from Hobby Lobby.
A view from the end…
Looking forward to all the beautiful table settings for this Tablescape Thursday!

Roberta Anne–The Raggedy Girl
These plates are really pretty! I love them mixed with your Gollum dishes. Susan, I just don’t know how you host so many wonderful blog events! The birdies and I decided to take the week off from tablescaping and just admire all the others this week!

Susan,
You never cease to amaze me with your beautiful tablescapes!! I hope you are planning your book, because I would run right out and buy one. I love the pretty china and that bunny is just the prettiest! Oh yes, the daisy flower arrangement put’s mine to shame and what a cute idea with the flower clip-ons. Love it, Cindy
Oh My Goodness! Absolutely gorgeous! That bunny is just so cute!
Hi Susan. Your tablescape is lovely. I especially like those bee glasses!
Blessings to you from Kansas,
Valerie
Simple? Susan, this table is beautiful and elegant. Great job. Love the beautiful new dishes. Another great job! Crystal
I love this tablescape so much I want to marry it! I can’t think of the artist’s name that the china reminds me of. Kim something…. I’ll have to look it up. Wish we had a Marshall’s closer to me. I might just have to go to St Louis and see what they have. After all, I am in love with it enough to propose!!!!
hugs~ C
What a pretty tablescape! I love hot pink and green as colors. I love your happy plates (those chargers are DIVINE!) and those clip on flowers are PERFECT for those plates. Everything looked perfect with your daisy centerpiece. But for me, I couldn’t take my eyes off of your bunny-I thought that doily was sitting on there (which was genius in my opinion) and then to find out it came like that…well that took the cake. Beautiful and fresh tablescape this week!
P.S. (I can’t help but still laugh about the blogger whose husband went asking for the Gollum china at Big Lots! He is a sweetie!)
Hi Susan…I love this tablescape…so Springy! Those plates and chargers are just gorgeous! Of course, those bee glasses are classic! And your Gollum plates are amazing…they look expensive!! Great job, Ma’am! Aren’t you exhausted after hosting 3 events? I’ve had fun this week! The Target birdies were a hoot! Thanks for doing that!! hugs…Debbie
As a new blogger, I’ve been reading your blog for a few weeks and I thoroughly enjoy it. You are living my dream with such a variety of tableware! My husband would toss me out on my ears if bought more dishes. Sigh…..oh well, he does have other attributes for which I will keep him! LOL My burning question is this: WHERE do you store all of your tableware and accessories? THAT is what I’d love to see pictures of. LOL Susan, thank you for sharing your delightful tablescapes with us. I have vowed to myself to join in soon on a Tablescape Thursday.
I love the new plates and chargers! I wonder if Marshalls still has them? I will have to check that out. Thanks for sharing. It is beautiful!
Amy
Your whole tablescape made me HAPPY!! I loved everything about it. Especially the happy chargers. Love pink and green!!!
Also, you can never go wrong with white china. And to think that it came from Big Lots. Beautiful!
Have a wonderful day. Love & blessings from NC!
Hi Susan. Another wonderful tablescape. I have posted our first TT with inspiration from you and your followers. Speaking of inspiration, we’ll be doing a Friday at the Flea this Friday.
I am so glad you invented Tablescape Thursday! It’s my favorite thing, and it is so much cheaper than counseling. I was actually thinking about “dish collectors” anonymous because I have so many…but now I have a reason to display them all! Thanks so much and God Bless!
Liz
Love this tablescape. I bought the same little lacy bunny and love him. Your new salad plates and chargers are just so pretty. I love all the flowers. They do just make you happy to look at them. The bee glasses are my favorites. Love them. I also really had fun with the Target birdies. That was a fun event. Thanks, Hugs Marty
Oh what a gorgeous table Susan. I love how fresh and bright it is. The detail on that bunny is amazing.
You really are a talented table scaper and I love how you put things together!
Just beautiful! Those charger plates are just my colors. I love your clip-on napkin holders.
You always inspire me.
Susan, Your table is stunning. I love the cool whites with the shot of pink and green. Very refreshing. I’ve missed you. I hope you are feeling better?
Kathleen
I love your new dishes! They are so cheerful. I love the way you used the white tablecloth and the very sweet white bunny. Your photos are always so pretty!
Susan,
Your tablescape is beautiful!!! The bright colors just pop against the white…so pretty and fresh!!!
I now have a long list of items to look for at Marshalls. I am still looking for the glasses and dishes from your last tablescape. Next I will have to re-do a closet for all the dihes!!! It’s a vicious circle!!!
Have a wonderful day!!!
XOXO
Cathy
OMG! If my Marshalls had had these plates and CHARGERS!!!!, I would have snatched them up like a thief!!!! They are WONDERFUL!!! SO happy and beautiful! I am so jealous! :):) Another beautiful table, Susan! I so enjoy seeing all the tables! Hopefully will take part next week. This week got away from me! Hugs, Pinky
Pretty…oh, so pretty! Those “happy” dishes are fabulous! I can see why you had to have them…I would, too! I love the summery feeling…and the white bunny is adorable! The clip ons are perfect, too!
Happy TT!
;-D
Susan, This has to be one of my favorites of all that you have done. I have a set of off white dishes (serving 12), but you are making me want some of Gollum’s dishes! I am getting ready to put my daisies in my white pitcher, too! Linda
Oh such a PRETTY table setting! I just love everything, from the flowery china to the daisies to the cute napkin rings. Simply perfect, Susan! 🙂
I love your happy plates! I enjoyed reading about where you bought everything, especially the white china from Big Lot’s! I really like a good bargain. Your table scape is just beautiful, I put rabbits in mine this week too, since it’s still Spring right? :O)
Love your cute dishes. You tablescapes are all so beautiful. Thanks for hosting this fun weekly event! Amy 🙂
What a cheerful tablescape! I just love the colors…and the bunny!
It is way happy china. I have always enjoyed those colors together and they so well with the white.
What a lovely tablescape! I think Tablescape Thursday is really helping out Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Big Lots, etc. You should get some credit from them!
Kate
I love hot pink….and Marshalls!
You’ve done it again, Susan! Those ARE the “Happiest” plates and chargers. Look what I missed out on the past few weeks. My partner in crime (my cousin Jody) went on a safari for two weeks and I didn’t go shopping…drats! (Oh well, think of the money I saved – LOL!) I adore your “bee glasses and I would use them often, too) ~ Robyn
Dear Susan ~ Your name will forever be synonimous with beautiful tablescaping! Everything you touch is lovely beyond words.
Hi Susan! OMG! You won’t believe it but I just came from Marshalls today and bought the same plate chargers. I bought coordinating plates too but they’re not exactly like yours. They were cheaper today ($2.99 for the chargers and $1.99 for the plates). I would have used them too but my table was already set and I did not want to undo it. Anyway, I came to tell you how much I love your tablescape. It sure is cheerful. Love the bunnys and those flower clips. Great original idea!…Christine
You are amazing…I can’t believe how much you accomplish…I am so enjoying your blog…still. I feel like a sloath in comparrison.
Thanks for the inspiration…it really helps
Janet

Hi Susan! Your tablescape today is so fresh, springy, and I love the pink and green! I like the flowers on the napkins versus napkin rings., perfect change up! I totally love the entire layering affect you did with the colors and pattern of the dishes with those sweet chargers and “Gollum” 😉 Gibson dishware! And of course, the centerpiece with the daises and the bunny picks., how can you go wrong? 😉 The lacy looking white bunny you got for 50% off at Hobby Lobby is really nice, loved it all! 😉 ~CC Catherine
I just love all the bright cheerful colors you used for your table. Very pretty! Thanks for letting me add my tablescape.
Susan.. I’m beginning to think you’re a daisy girl!
Beautiful table.. and great creative way to use those little Hobby Lobby clip on daisys… Wish I’d thought of that! 😉
this is still my favorite meme…
blessings. Dixie
Love the tablescape on the porch. The clip-on flowers are too cute on the napkins. I bought the “Gollum dishes” a couple of weeks ago myself and will probably incorporate them into a tablescape soon.
As always, your taablesetting is exquisite! Thanks for hosting this fun weekly event.
So pretty! I especially like the flower pins in place of napkin holders – just lovely!
This is my first Tablescape Thursday! I had so much fun putting it together.
As always, I love your tablescapes. You certainly have a special talent for putting things together to create an amazing table. I especially love that sweet bunny! It looks like he has a bit of lace on his side!
Kady

my want more stuff list…Hugs~ Kammy
I love your new “Happy” china and your whole tablescape, of course!
Susan, I’d have lunch with you at one of your beautiful tables no matter where it was – but the porch is my favorite, especially! What a beautiful area you have out there?! I have the same flatware (the bamboo), I haven’t gotten a chance to really use it yet, though my company did have a function, and I brought the knives in just to use as spreaders for the cream cheese. People LOVED them! They’re my outdoor set, if I can EVER get the patio finished! BEAUTIFUL, as always! Very inspirational!
Still trying to get it together, they are all so pretty….not sure I can compete.
Oh Susan, what a wonderful tablescape. Love the white china set and the new colorful chargers. I can feel a trip to Big Lots coming on 🙂
Thank you for hosting and sharing.

I loved seeing everyone who participated in the Target Birds meme. Most are hilarious! Mine are still resting…
Susan,
I love the pink and green combo, it is so bright and cheerful! The little flower clips you used for the napkins are awesome! Being a “Bloom Girl” they are totally me! Very Clever idea and hope you don’t mind me “table napping” 🙂 Have a great day!
Karyn

Darling table Susan! Love the bright colors against the white or off white, really pops!
Linda Q
Hi Susan,
What a cheery table and I love the colors. It’s very calming and pretty. Hobby Lobby had some chargers for $1.99 two days ago-that’s a thought for those looking.
Have a good week and enjoy the nicer weather.
Just awesome Susan! I LOVE your new HAPPY plates and chargers, what a buy! And that Hobby Lobby! I went into one in Albq while on business to buy those fabric cord covers you used on your porch swing, and I could have wandered around in there for hours. I couldn’t buy anything else because of the baggage limit on the flight back 🙁
Another fab table for all of us to feast our eyes on. Hugs, Jan
Hi Susan,
Your table look just gorgeous. This one looks so calming and relaxing. I also love the flowers attached to the plates. Good idea.
This is all so new to me as up North it has to be a REALLY big occasion to do a tablescape. My sister lived in Houston, and I used to visit all the time. I was amazed at the gardens. They gave out signs for the Garden of the month. I love traditions, and I think up here we are losing some of them because we are losing our collage age people. Most of our younger people are headed to the South for college and stay there.
Sorry, I tend to ramble.
I do so enjoy seeing what others do as a form of art~~ Just beautiful and I see it takes oodles of talent !
your daisy arrangment and that pretty little rabbit just made my day*! SO PRETTY*!
I love pink and green it is also one of my fav. combinations.I love the simple design of this table and the crispness of the color combination. What vision you have finding those darling clips and then incorporating them into this delightful table. Love it,kathysue
Can somebody help me understand how to “use” a table with layered china? Do you remove the settings before serving? Do you leave the charger in place for all courses? I love love love the layered look and the chargers, but I don’t really know what to “do” with them, so I never set my table this way. Enlighten me!
Susan, it would be hard for me to put a plate on top of that charger, and cover up all of that prettiness! Your new china just shouts “summer”, and I love it, and those daisy clip ons are so smart! This is just such a happy table. (Yes, I think a table can be happy when you put beautiful china on it!). laurie
Hi Steph, (August Vows)
Thanks for stopping by for Tablescape Thursday. To answer your question…the charger plates are always in place when the guests are seated. Then the soup, fish or salad course are served with the charger remaining in place. Usually, the charger plate is removed prior to the serving of the entree or dinner course. But some folks who really enjoy the appearance of the charger will leave it in place even during the entree part of the dinner. The charger plate should always be removed before the dessert course, though. Hope this helps. 🙂 Susan
Hey Susan; Your table scape is just so lovely. I can’t wait till it is time for table scape Thurs… I love to visit and see how every one sets their tables…. Love the new plates just perfect for Spring….
Hugs;
Alaura
This tablescape made me smile! You’re so right, it is Happy!
Just a curious question. Did you buy one or two boxes of the Gibson dishes. Are six enough? Are twelve too many? I bought one box at Big Lots on sale for $25! Now, I’m wondering if I should have bought two boxes.
Your tablescape really does bring a smile.
Oh, this tablescape is so very cute!! I am now having Marshall’s withdrawel symptoms. Guess I’ll have to get over there this weekend. But first, need to work on a closet for some more hiding..err.. storage space. Hubby and I don’t quite see eye to eye on this china obsession!.. men ..
Hi Anonymous, I bought 1 box of the Gibson china, but a few days later decided I really should have 12 place settings…so I went back and bought a second box. 🙂 Susan
I can see why your new china would make your happy. It would make me happy too. Lovely table.
You’ve done another amazing table. Everything is stunning. I love the chargers and salad plates.
Susan, it is lovely. I love how the white just ‘pops’ completely!
The whole table just screams spring….beautiful!
Barb

~Melissa 🙂
Hey Susan, I was at my Marshalls today and saw your plates BUT they didn’t have any chargers……I would have gotten them if they did:( Darn…………
Hi Susan ! Isn’t it such a nice feeling when we get bargains on beautiful things? I am glad you did not pay more than I did. I would like to go to another Marshall’s to get more too. I hope they don’t sell out, we don’t have any Marshall’s here. Did you know they have a tea set too? I got mine earlier last month and they were very reasonable too….Christine
Ms. Gollum’s china is very pretty!
I love your lacey bunny, too.
Mr. Linky worked for me today! Using him is so much easier than what I was doing. Thank you again so much for your help!
The table looks so pretty. I love the green bunnies in the flower center piece. Very pretty!
Susan I think that you moderate comments before they post, so I hope this acceptable as a way to contact you. I just wanted to let you know that I have a giveaway on my blog that you and your readers may be interested in. It is for a copy of the book Table Inspirations.
Have a great weekend!
~Kate
Very nice Susan! It’s so fresh and springing looking. It gives you a happy feel! Personally, I like simple instead of a lot of stuff. Great tablescape. Have a beautiful and blessed weekend!
Your table is insanely gorgeous, and so creative. I may try to particiapte in this one Thursday!
~Abby
I love your tablescape, it does make you smile. I wouldn’t put the bunnies away either, they are lovely.

(Beddow)
Beautiful Spring inspired table scape. I am a former Pier 1 employee and those “topiary” bunnies in the floral arrangement look awfully familiar. LOL
