Today, I’m sharing a bit of my outdoor Christmas decorations. If you come see me, as you pull into the driveway, you’ll see the Lazy Hill Dove Cote on your immediate left. Sadly, there are no bluebirds nesting there this time of year. But stay tuned…they just may be back in the spring since they nested in there three times this past spring. If you would like to see some cute pics of the bluebirds feeding worms to their babies, click on the photo of the dove cote in my sidebar. Wonder what they would think of this new addition to their home?
As you walk toward the meandering brick walk way that leads to the front door, you’ll pass a gas lantern with an “oak-leaf” flame burning brightly inside.
A Fraser Fir wreath adorns the front door…
A night view…
All we need now is SNOW!
I found these wonderful large bells at Dollar Tree. They are scattered around the garland that encircles the front door.
Welcome to my home, dear friends! Merry Christmas!
Thanks so much for dropping in for a visit!
So welcoming and festive! Merry Christmas Susan! ~ Robyn
Beautiful! Our front doorways are decorated so similarly, but last night, about half of the lights went out on mine. So frustrating. laurie

Susan, I’m more than happy to send you some snow. However, I think your decorations are perfect even without a wintry mix! I’m going to have to scout out a Dollar Tree. I think I passed one in a little town about 10 miles down the road. Love the addition of those bells to your garland. Thanks for making us all feel right at home.

Congrats on your 100th post…how old does that make me now as I have never missed one of yours…it all looks beautiful Susan..and you can have some of my Sunny California snow…I ‘ll send you some..hugs and smiles Gloria
Your front door is amazing!!!!
If Joy is coming home for Christmas, you better keep an eye on that sled. I heard a rumor that she was looking for one.
I sure hope the Atlanta Metro area is better able to deal with frozen precip than the Macon area. More than a dusting here, and all the schools close, shelves empty of bread and milk, and anyone that can takes off from work. And heaven forbid if it takes the form of ice. So many pine limbs come down and bring the power lines with them, unfortunately. Nature provides some gorgeous ice sculptures to make up for the chaos created.
I think the bluebirds would heartily approve. It would give them another area to perch and watch out for the (to them I’m sure, crazy)lady with the camera. Everything looks beautiful and I really like your big bells in your garland.
Congratulations on your 100th post. I really, really like the night view of your front door. Wonderful…
Classic, elegant and simply stunning.
It all looks beautiful. My favorite though is the front porch at night time.
Hugs,
Chris

Susan, you have a gas lantern!!How charming and perfect for your home. The red door with the wreath is beautiful and the night pictures look like a picture for Christmas in Father of The Bride.Well at least it evokes that warm feeling.I love the bells,I need another ornament like a hole in the head, but I think they would be a great addition to my mantle with the polkadots.Don’t you?Thankyou again for giving us your precious time, I look at your blog as a daily gift and especially during this busy time of year, I wish I had a gift to give you.I hope my appreciation will do for now.Hugs to you my friend and a Very Merry Christmas to You and Yours, Kathysue

I sure wish I could get here before 10:30 PM!!!! Anyway, Oh, I so love your front porch decorations. Your topiaries are stunning! Are they FAUX materials and up all year??? LOVE the sled, we have one too, that we got at an antique shop. You are such an inspiration to all who come here. MERRY, merry Christmas!!! Pinky
The night time door scene is incredible. Thanks for the tour. I would like a dove cote as I have doves here, no wait, hubby said the are small gray pigeons. Maybe I could convince them to impersonate doves and live in the cote.

Hi Susan, What a beautiful entry! One of the (many!) reasons I love your blog is that you have this incredibly beautiful home and you have the skills to buy things at the Dollar Store and make them look like a million bucks!
