Welcome to the 715th Tablescape Thursday!
I’m still away visiting family but I have a delightful table setting to share for this week’s Tablescape Thursday! We are dining outdoors in the beautiful French countryside this week. On a recent spring day, Norma gathered outdoors with friends for a relaxing dinner party. She made a pretty, floral banner for this festive occasion.
Norma said, “I made the bunting from scraps of different cotton fabric that I had accumulated over the years.”
This beautiful table was a celebration of spring and summer so Norma created a wonderful centerpiece for the occasion with flowers from her garden. Norma said, “Peonies are my favorite flower, especially the pink ones, and they were really the inspiration for this tablescape.”
Just look at those gorgeous peonies growing in Norma’s garden! Do you see the little bee? ♥
In addition to floral bunting, Norma made the beautiful tablecloth and napkins, too!
Love these wee vases filled with flowers from Norma’s garden in the south of France.
For this dinner party with friends, Norma brought out her Villeroy and Boch floral china. I love how the floral salad plates look against the simple, white dinner plates.
As mentioned earlier, Norma made the pretty floral tablecloth and napkins herself.
The dragonfly napkin rings were a find in Pier 1.
Such a beautiful Villeroy & Boch pattern and so perfect for spring!
Thanks so much to Norma for sharing this wonderful table setting with friends. Looking again at this beautiful outdoor setting, my heart hears joyful laughter and the clinking of glasses as friends celebrate the beauty of spring and the coming of summer.
Looking forward to all the beautiful table settings linked for this week’s Tablescape Thursday!

French alfresco settings are the best. Merci to Norma for sharing her beautiful garden setting. I wish I were there!
Enjoy your family time. Happy Summer!
This is so delightful. It harkens back to a more carefree time. I love the idea of the floral flags. My goodness, don’t we all have fabric tucked away? What a great idea to use it up and have something so pretty to use year after year. And I just love those adorable little vases of flowers. So sweet. Peonies are one of my favorites as well. They are so beautiful and feminine-looking. And I also like the idea of the tablecloth overlay. It adds so much. I think I’ll start doing that, myself. Such a lovely table, Norma. And a what a beautiful day to have your dinner party. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. Looking at the pictures put me in such a nice mood. Thanks for that.
A lovely table setting for the outdoors. The special made tablecloth and napkins are beautiful and fit perfectly for the occasion, The napkin rings are special and certainly add to the outdoors. You and Norma have lot in common.
SUCH a lovely table! I’m really inspired by you making your own tablecloths and napkins, Norma. I need to dig my sewing machine out of the attic, replace the pieces that my son’s high school class “misplaced” (read threw around the room in a thread fight!) when I loaned it to them 20 years ago, and make some table linens of my own! 🙂 Thanks so much to both of you for sharing this gorgeous table. Happy Thursday!
Thank you for sharing the beautiful tablescape by Norma. I think we need a field trip to visit her lovely place in the south of France!
Beautiful table! Thank you Susan!
Very pretty setting for an outdoor dining experience. Lovely flowers and floral accents.
Norma’s outdoor dining is so charming, Susan. So glad she shared. There really is nothing like dining outdoors. Are you in Ohio? Were you down there when the tornado hit fairly close by the other day? We only got scads and buckets of rain but nothing damaging came this far north. Have a great weekend.
