Normally I’m just a big iced tea fan, but recently on a very cold morning I was trying to think of something to help warm me up, and I decided to give hot tea a try. I was surprised how much I liked it for an early morning drink, it kinda warmed me up from the inside out. The tea I drank that morning was the tea that I chose for the basket I ordered from Fortnum and Mason a while back.
Since I enjoyed the Fortnum and Mason hot tea for an early morning warm up, I began thinking about buying some loose-leaf tea, and that led me to finding these adorable tea infusers. There were so many cute sets from which to choose, I had a hard time making up my mind which set to buy.
I ended up going with this grouping and I love them. They arrived beautifully packaged where they couldn’t scratch into each other and are even prettier than I expected. It dawned on me today, they would actually make really cute necklaces. All you would need is a little jump ring to attach to the top loop on each critter, and then it would hang correctly on a chain. I love these so much!
Another one of the infuser sets I almost bought is this aquatic set—soooo cute! I think I may go back for it, too. If you are a hot tea lover and like drinking loose-leaf tea occasionally, you’ll find these adorable infusers in 11 different motif sets here: Tea Infusers, Set of 3.
The one I have so far is the “Insect” one. It came with a bee, a dragonfly and an owl. Not sure why they included an owl, but I love it! I also like the set labeled “Cute” which includes a mama giraffe and her baby, a turtle and an elephant. The one called “horrible” would be hilarious to use around Halloween. Update: I made hot tea again today and love how these infusers work. The lid screws on, so there’s no chance of it coming off accidentally. Really happy with how they work!
Love this Bee Motif set, too! Seriously, I think I could buy a jump ring, add it to the top of one of these motifs/charms and turn it into a really cute necklace. I think I’m going to try that. You’ll find the Bee set of infusers here: Set of 3 Bee Infusers.
Are you a hot tea fan? I think I’ll always prefer iced tea, but hot tea is pretty awesome for warming you up in the morning! See you tomorrow for Tablescape Thursday!
Those are so cute, Susan! They make the BEST gifts, too!
They would be great gifts or stocking stuffers for the hot tea lover, for sure.

I am a tea drinker of English and Irish black tea! I use tea bags for convenience as I drink 3 cups a day. I like Harney,Tazo and Lyons teas.
The tea infusers are so cute! Thank you for sharing!

Thanks, Jeanie!

That’s mostly what I have, too–tea bags, but I’ve really gotten interested in loose-leaf lately. I made the mistake a few days ago of opening one of the tea bags to try it in the infuser. That didn’t work! lol The tea was so finely ground, it came right out into the tea cup. So, I learned the hard way that you gotta use loose-leaf with infusers. Thanks for those tips on the brands to look for, Maureen.
These are so cute! I too love some of the other options, but I think the insect and bee ones are my favorite. These would also make cute gifts (bdays, house warming, Christmas etc).
Oh, I hadn’t thought about as a house-warming gift–love that idea!

I have my coffee in the morning & hot tea several hours after dinner. When I make loose leaf tea I use antique porcelain tea strainers or my silverplated one.
Robin, what is your favorite brand/flavor of tea in the evening? I tried a sleepytime one recently.
I love hot tea! I drink it every morning. My favorites are from Harney and Sons. Elyse’s blend is my go to! I have a whole vintage cabinet full of their teas. If you ever want to do a post on hot teas, I’m your girl and would love to send you photos of my tea and coffee bar. I decorate it seasonally!
Christy, I would love to see your tea/coffee bar set-up, especially decorated for the seasons.
I would love to see it, Christy! It sounds wonderful! You can send photos to me at [email protected].
These strainers are just too cute, although I can’t figure out the owl either. The bee ones are a must have for you.
lol I know, funny that he got included with the insects. I do love owls though, so glad he was included. 🙂
I am making a tea/coffee bar and the last thing I needed was a nice loose tea infuser. Perfect! I fell in love with the Bees and purchased through your link, thank you! I have a Lenox Butterfly tea cup and like to make myself a special cup of loose tea on a day I need little quiet time. These are so cute!
That sounds so nice, Diane! I hope you love the infusers. I like how the lid screws on so it won’t come open inside the cup.
I am a huge fan of hot tea! These infusers are so cute though I have to admit mine is just a utilitarian Japanese one I bought online. My favorite tea brand is Kusmi – they’re a retailer based in Paris and everything I’ve tried from them is very high quality, fresh, and delicious. My favorite blend from them is St. Petersbourg, which is an Earl Grey variant. I don’t work for them or have any affiliation with them, I just really like their products :). So if you ever want to try a different brand, I highly recommend them.
Oh, good to know! Thanks for sharing that brand and source, Ann!
It took me a while to get to the point where I enjoyed the flavor of tea. Doctoring it up helped, lol. (with real cream and a bit of sugar) I have those little apothecary style drawers under one set of cabinets and they are stuffed with various loose leaf teas and the accoutrements for proper brewing. I do love a nice hot cup of tea on a cold day, or whilst reading a cozy mystery. So glad you sort-of-kind-of like it now. (It’s like you’ve joined a secret club.) The infusers you found are adorable. And you’re right, they do look just like they’d make great necklaces.
My favorite tea infuser is an aquanaut from the Houston Museum of Natural Sciences. It isn’t the best tea infuser so I clipped it to a larger tea ball. It is super cute!
