Favorite Beauty-Care Products, Including A New Fave I’m Completely Obsessed Over

Welcome to the 796th Metamorphosis Monday! It’s been ages since I shared some of my favorite beauty products in a post. Recently, I tried a mascara that I had never tried before, and it’s, by far, the easiest to apply and best mascara I have ever used. I feel like I have finally found my favorite mascara of all time, so that prompted me to create this post today for this week’s Met Monday.

Favorite Beauty Products

I’ve mentioned Mill Creek Biotin Therapy shampoo and conditioner in previous posts. It continues to be one of my favorite shampoos/conditioners! Over the years, I’ve found that my hair looks its best if I don’t use a single shampoo constantly, but rotate through a few different ones. I’m not sure why that works so well, maybe it avoids buildup or my hair getting too used to a single shampoo. This shampoo is very gentle on hair, and it doesn’t contain sulfates and a lot of the bad things we don’t want on our hair. As mentioned, I alternate using it with a couple more favorites, but it will always be in my rotation because I like it so much. You’ll find it available here: Millcreek Shampoo and Conditioner.

Favorite Shampoo, Conditioner

This is probably my favorite conditioner ever! It does amazing things for my hair, makes it feel so full and healthy. I really like how my hair looks when I use it. You’ll find it available here: Kerastase Conditioner.

Kerastase Nutritive Conditioner for Hair

Since I love the conditioner so much, I finally got around to trying their shampoo a few months ago, and I love it as well. Whenever I feel like my hair could use a little extra TLC, Kerastase shampoo and conditioner are my go to in my collection of favorite shampoos that I rotate through. You’ll find it available here: Kerastase Shampoo.

Kerastae Shampoo

A friend gave me some Aveda shampoo a year or so ago. I finally got around to using it and I really like it. I like the shampoo at bit more than the conditioner. I may be washing too much of the conditioner out, so maybe that’s why it doesn’t seem to leave my hair as “conditioned” as I would like, but I really, really like the shampoo. You’ll find this shampoo and conditioner here: Aveda Shampoo and Conditioner.

Another shampoo that I will use on occasion is the Ion Purify shampoo. I once had a hair stylish recommend it to me as a clarifying shampoo that’s great to remove any mineral build up, especially in areas with hard water. Anytime I feel like my hair needs that, I will use this shampoo, and it’s like a fresh start since it cleans so thoroughly. You can read more about it here: Ion Purify Shampoo.

Still loving and wearing this perfume a lot! Never expected to like it as much as I do. You’ll find it available here: Barbie Perfume.

Love this lip balm, especially for winter time. It goes on silky smooth and feels so good on the lips. Definitely recommend! You’ll find it available here: Soothing and Renewing Lip Balm.

Bioderma Lip Conditioner

Dior’s Nail Glow is still my favorite for when I want my nails to look nice but I don’t have time to fuss over them. It’s so fast and easy to apply and love that French Manicure look that it give. You’ll find it available here: Dior Nail Glow.

Dior Nail Glow Polish

I’ve been using their lip glow for many years. My daughter-in-law loves it, too. They describe it as, “your lips, but better.” Just recently I tried one of the lip glows that had a bit more color, and I really like it. I’ll always buy this lip glow product as long as they keep making it. You’ll find it available here: Dior Lip Glow.

Love these nail polish removers since I don’t have to stress about turning over a bottle of nail polish remover. This is all I buy now since it’s so easy/effortless to use. I’ve found that it normally takes just one wipe to remove all the polish from all then fingers. You’ll find it available here: Nail Polish Remover Wipes. Nail Polish Remover Pads

I love this Maybelline Baby Lips Gloss/Balm sooo much! It’s super inexpensive, which is great, and it adds so much shine over lipstick or just worn alone. I love how it feels on my lips, a favorite that I continue to buy over and over. You’ll find it available here: Baby Lips Gloss-Balm.

My daughter-in-law gave me Clinique Chubby Stick Lip Color balm a few years back and it was instant love! I love how effortless it is to apply, and it never bleeds, which I really like. Def another favorite that I like keeping in my handbag. You’ll find it available in a bunch of different colors here: Clinique Chubby Stick Lip Color.

Clinique Chubby Stick

This is it! This is officially my favorite mascara ever! It goes on in just the right amount/thickness, so I never need more than one application. Best of all, it doesn’t clump or look gloppy. Love that so much! Also, I’m terrible about going to bed and forgetting I have on mascara, since I rarely wear it when I’m at home for the day. I’ve noticed that when I wear this mascara and forget to remove it, my eyes don’t feel weird or sting in the morning. So whatever is in this, it doesn’t bother my eyes at all if I accidentally sleep in it. I can’t say that with other mascaras that I’ve tried.  I really love how easy it is to apply and how it looks right the first time—I don’t have to go back and get areas that were missed or add another coat. I hope they never discontinue it, or I’ll have to buy up all that I can find and figure out a way to store it to keep it from drying out. lol Hopefully, it is here to stay! You’ll find it available here: Best Mascara.

This little mini shaver is a painless way to remove any peach fuzz you may have on your face for a flawless finish if you wear foundation. It’s available here: Painless Hair Remover for Face.

This is a great product for removing makeup and not leaving your face feeling dried out. It’s very soothing. You’ll find it available here: Clinique Take The Day Off.

Have to mention my two favorite toiletry bags to carry all my beauty items in when I travel. Love the look of this one, such a pretty color! You’ll find it available here: Toiletry Bag with Hanging Hook, Great for Travel.

This is the one I use the most often when I travel, since the black color and its hardy exterior can last through just about anything. Makes life so easy when you can just hang it on a towel bar and have everything that you need right at hand. You’ll find it available here: Travel Toiletry Bag with Hanging Hook.

This is the only product in this line up that I haven’t yet tried. My friend, Susan, recommended it, so I’m going to give it a try this summer when I wear a dress and want to add a little color to my legs. Susan loves it and says that it looks really natural You’ll find it available here: Tanning Mouse.

Tanning Mousse

This is another product that if they ever discontinue it, I will cry. It’s my go-to for my hands and feet and is worth its weight in gold! It will transform feet almost overnight—it’s amazing! You’ll find it available here: Cutemol Lotion.

For the rest of my body, I normally use Curel’s Itch Defense. It’s perfect for an all-over body lotion when you step out of the shower. You’ll find it available here: Curel Itch Defense.

  1. Susan, please allow me to share one product I’ve recently found (recommended to me by my best friend) for dry, cracked heels. I’ve suffered from this for years and nothing, including prescriptions, have worked. It’s called Beekman 1802 Pure Goat Milk Foot balm. This stuff has worked wonders on my poor heels. I also wear a little sock thing with a gel filled heel. I think the Beekman products are sold on QVC but I ordered mine from the Beekman web page.

    • Thanks, Judy. That sounds really interesting! Have you tried Cutemol, yet? I would love a comparison since Cutemol works so well and so fast. I’ve never tried anything that worked as well as Cutemol, so would a comparison.

  2. Thanks so much for all the info Susan, I am definitely going to try that mascara!

  3. Susan,
Thanks so much for hosting each week…It is greatly appreciated…I have returned to blogging after Joe’s passing with the post 5 WEEKS…I hope you have a great weekend!

  4. Thanks for sharing all your great beauty products, Susan. Have a great week!

  5. Have you ever tried the Curel HydraTherapy? It is amazing. You put it on in the shower and it soaks right in. No rubbing it in or rinsing it off. Nothing. I don’t know what I’d do without it especially in the winter.

  6. Thanks a million Susan – I’ve been looking for a new mascara for a long time. I ordered this and can’t wait to see what it’s like. I really appreciate all your great recommendations! Thanks for hosting, too. Happy last week of April!

  7. Thanks for all the tips….will try that shampoo. Just tried the new John Frieda shampoo for volume and liking that. Have you tried Londontown nail veils…no top or base coat, good for your nails, and a milky color. I am hooked !

  8. Roxanne Bernard says

Love and use many of these products! I keep my Curel in the shower, love that stuff. I just order the Ion shampoo bc we have very hard well water. Have you tried the Chubby Stick blush? It’s my favorite. Do you remember where you got the bell? I would love one for my dressing table!

  9. I love the toiletry travel bag. It’s the best!

  10. More temptations. Do you need a mascara remover for the mascara ? I gave up on mascara because I always looked like a raccoon or in the humidity here, it it just ran down my face at the most inopportune times.

    • No, it comes easily just by washing your face. Occasionally, I will use Maybelline “Expert Eyes” Oil-free makeup remover if I think I see any that I missed when I washed my face. It’s not waterproof mascara, so it will come off easily. I’ve never had it bleed or come off due to the humidity. Usually the only time I get mascara below my eye is I forget to remove it and sleep in it…but again it washes off easily when I wash my face or take a shower. I need mascara because you can’t even see that I have eyelashes without it. lol

I'd love to hear from you! Please leave a comment!
