I have several books about Nantucket and this is definitely one of my faves. Photography is stunning and this is a large book that’s beautiful to display during the summer months on a coffee table or other prominent spot in your home.
In the BNOTP Library: Nantucket Island Living
Author: Leslie Linsley
3 Things I Like About This Book:
- The inside of this large book is as wonderful as the cover. We tour some beautiful homes on Nantucket and they do not disappoint. There’s a mix of traditional and historic homes (Sea Captain’s home) along with adorable cottages with amazing ocean views. This is the Nantucket you’ve dreamed about! Photography is excellent!
- If you’ve ever wanted to learn more about the history of Nantucket, you’ll find that in the early chapters of this book. There’s a lot of work being done to preserve the natural beauty and resources of Nantucket.
- There’s a whole chapter sharing the gorgeous gardens on Nantucket. If you enjoy gardening, you’ll love that chapter! Chapters in this book are titled: Nature Preserved, An Historical Legacy, By the Sea, Island Gardens, Beach Cottages, The Village of Siasconset, Island Crafts, Island Living.
