Looking for a little inspiration for your holiday decorating this year? The book I’m sharing today is one I love to look through each year as the Christmas season comes around. It’s filled with gorgeous vignettes, beautiful place settings and inspiration for every room in the home.
In the BNOTP Library: Nell Hill’s Christmas At Home
Author: Mary Carol Garrity
Hardcover: 128 pages
3 Things I Like About This Book:
- We get lots of peeks into Mary Carol’s home. Her dining room is always one of my favorite spaces. Photography is wonderful in this book!
- So much inspiration! I have little sticky tabs stuck on so many pages in this book…all the things I’d love to make or try in my Christmas decorating. It’s that kind of book!
- Lots of great ideas for decorating chandeliers, mirrors, tabletops, the guest room and many other areas throughout the home. I especially love how so much of the decorating in this book was done with natural greenery, pine cones, nuts, berries and other things we can usually find in our gardens.

All the photos from the “look inside” on Amazon have such a warm, cozy, welcome feeling. On the page with the dedication to her sister, I love the beautiful glass, bead-like ring around the taper. Any info in the book about where to find that?
Mia, I’ll look and see…be back in sec.
They appear on the table in the views of her dining room…they are on her silver candelabras in that room. She doesn’t give the source of things like that in the book but if I had to guess, I bet she sold them at some point in her store. If you call the store (and she is often there herself) and asked where the beaded rings around the tapers are from in her dining room picture on page 59 of her book, Christmas At Home, I bet they could tell you. They probably have customers who have her books comes in all the time asking about things they have seen in the books. Who knows, she may still be selling them. She used to have her store online but not anymore. Last year I called to asked about some bedding for sale in her store (Nell Hill’s) in a blog post on her blog and they told me they do take orders over the phone, they just don’t have the shop online now. It’s worth a call…just in case. Maybe she’ll even be there so they can ask her. If not, they could ask her when she is next in the store. It’s my understanding, she’s in there regularly.
