Not too many things to share from November, but the ones I am sharing are great finds! There’s a bonus find at the end of this post, something that hasn’t arrived yet but should arrive today. Hope it works well for where I want to use it—more on that in a minute. One of my favorite finds last month was this solid wood, somewhat rustic table to go here between the two reading chairs in my study. I want this room to feel like a relaxed, cozy spot so this table was perfect.

As I’ve been letting my natural hair color grow out, I’ve found that I prefer regular shampoos over the specialty shampoos recommended for white hair. I’ve been using Biolage’s daily leave-in tonic for many, many years—first purchased it in a salon. I finally purchased their shampoo a few months ago, and I continue to use it almost every time I shampoo. I love how it doesn’t weigh my hair down. I have found my natural non-colored hair is a lot softer and less coarse than my colored hair was, so it’s important that I don’t use shampoos that are heavy. A few months back I added this console to the hallway at the top of the stairs so when I leave my study in the evening, I have light by which to navigate the stairs. Console table is available here: Curved Console Table.
Since I like having the light come on about 1/2 hour before it gets dark out, I purchased a timer for the lamp. I love this timer so much, I purchased another set in November to use on two lamps in the Georgia house. It’s the easiest timer to set that I’ve ever used! Also, with the flip of a little switch, the timer can be overridden so that the lamp is on full-time when needed. You’ll find this timer in a set of two here: Programmable Digital Timmer, 2 Pack.
The cords hanging down from the lamp and weather station were super obvious when coming up the stairs. I really disliked seeing them, especially since they were right at eye level when coming up the stairs. I purchased these cable clips and they are working great! The red backing peels off to expose the sticky back of the clip, which I stuck up high underneath, onto the back of the console. Then I just hooked the lamp and weather station cords into the clip. So pleased with how well this easy solution worked! I’m going to take a few clips back to Georgia in January to do the same again with my entry table there. Bonus Find: I’ve been looking for a really cute decorative yet functional basket to go on the bottom shelf of the console. It took a lot of searching before I finally stumbled across these adorable scalloped baskets. They are available in two colors and various sizes—I went with the largest size in the natural color below. 
I love how the lid can be used as a scalloped tray!
This is the other color that this basket comes in. If I’m not crazy about the lighter natural wicker color that I chose (it’s arriving today) I’ll exchange it for the darker brown one. I see the Gingerbread handbag on the table. Nice accessory. I like the lighter baskets. The versatile lid is very clever. Maybe some greenery in a basket on the bottom shelf of the table. What did you decide about the rug in the study ? I really like those chairs with the birds..

Love the basket. That table is pretty also. I use to use Biolage shampoo but have been using Tresemme and I’ve had gray hair for 30yrs. I don’t like products on my hair. My theory is if I put conditioner on my hair it takes longer or hotter heat to dry. That is why I only use shampoo. MERRY CHRISTMAS!
LOVE the baskets! Like both colors. Be interesting to see how the natural lighter one looks against the wall color. If you need some contrast you know the darker one will work. Now question: Can you get both sizes and stack them like they did in their pic? Sure looks good. I did that with pretty white metal scalloped round baskets in my larger guest room to hide cords years ago. I still have them there, just such a perfect little thing.

Thanks, Michele! The lighter ones arrived today and I think they are too light in color for that space, so I ordered the darker ones earlier this evening. They should be here on Monday. Hope those work. I do like how they look stacked. Will have to decide what to store inside them.
