Welcome to the 686th Tablescape Thursday!
Happy November on this beautiful autumn day!
It’s not often I have new dinnerware AND new chargers to share with you on a Tablescape Thursday, but I have both to share this week! Since the lighting wasn’t the best when I took these photos yesterday, I’ve added a few photos to the end of the post that were taken in just the light coming in through the windows.
I kept the centerpiece simple, just a couple of mercury-glass trees found in Pottery Barn many years ago and a smaller green/silver tree. I love the little green and silver tree and wish I could have found it in some taller sizes, too. I believe I found it in Marshalls–it was so long ago, hard to remember now. I tucked fresh magnolia leaves in around the base of the trees. I love decorating with magnolia this time of year.
The green chargers arrived and I do love them! Thanks for convincing me I needed those–you were right! (Chargers are available here: Green Chargers.)
They are a beautiful shade of green and go so well with this snowy, country scene. This is such a charming, country scene and I think it’s perfect to use all throughout the holiday season. It would work great for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. Note the adorable cottages featured on the salad plate.
The scene changes for the dinner plate and so do the houses.
I love that the pattern is different on the dinner plates! Initially, I only ordered 4-place settings of this pattern, but after seeing it, I loved it so much, I ordered another set. I may order a 3rd set so I will be able to set a table for 12, just in case the need ever arises. (This charming dinnerware is available here: Toile Holiday Dinnerware. The chargers are available in both red and green here: Charger Plates.)
The napkins are a combination of plaid and paisley. The tartan plaid napkins are still available here: Tartan Napkins. The paisley napkins are Ralph Lauren and purchased many years ago, so long ago I don’t remember where now. Pinecone napkin rings are from Pier 1 several years back.
I went with my twig flatware for this setting. I didn’t like the way my stainless flatware looked with the gold in the charger plates and the twig flatware really fit the woodsy feel of the scene. I chose these paisley napkins for the bit of blue in their pattern since there’s blue in the dish pattern, as well. You’ll be able to see the blue in the following photos that were taken in natural lighting this morning.
These photos below were taken with just the natural light coming in through the windows.
So you can really get a feel for the color of the dinnerware, although the chargers are more of a vibrant green than they are appearing. A view of the salad plate…
…and here’s a view of the dinner plate in the natural light coming in through the windows.
Such a beautiful scene. ♥
I found the green stemware in HomeGoods many years ago. The tea glass is Waterford and the pattern is Araglin.
Are you preparing for Thanksgiving these days? Can’t believe it’s just one week away!
Looking forward to all the wonderful table settings linked for this week’s Tablescape Thursday!

If you are participating in Tablescape Thursday, please be sure to add your permalink below, and not your general blog address. To get your permalink, click on your post name, then copy and paste the address showing in the address bar, into the “url” box when you link up. You’ll need to include a link in your post back to the party to link up and participate.
That’s so visitors to your blog will be able to find the party and the other Tablescape Thursday participants. Requiring a link back also prevents businesses and scammers from linking up to sell their products. (Yep, that really happens, unfortunately.) If you see a post that’s not table-setting related, let me know and I’ll remove it.
Please, don’t add your post name/blog name ALL IN CAPS…it tends to create big spaces between the rows of links. Please link up table setting or table setting related posts only for Tablescape Thursday.
This party has ended, click button below for the links to all who participated.
This is absolutely gorgeous. One of your best yet!
Thanks so much, Mary!

Beautiful table Susan, I love your new things and the napkins really tie it all together! A great combo for Thanksgiving and Christmas, just lovely!
Thanks, Jenna! Love a dishware that will work for both holidays. I hope you are having a wonderful fall.
Beautiful. Christmas is coming!!!
It is! The days are going way too fast!
Just gorgeous! I wouldn’t need to eat a meal—I’d be content just admiring this lovely table!
Thanks so much, MerriJo!

Gorgeous table!! I can’t believe I’m saying this, but, this might be my favorite fall/winter table you’ve ever shared. (I love so many of your tablescapes.)
PS I followed the link to your Instagram page and your most recent post was from 2020. Do you have another Instagram page??
Thanks, Sharon! It was fun having some new pieces to play with in this table setting.
No, that’s my only page. I have gotten so annoyed with Instagram and how they shadowban, I haven’t been posting in a while. They only share a post with maybe 10% of those who follow. Same for Facebook which is owned by Instagram, except on FB, they only share posts with maybe 5% of the people who follow.
Plus, I don’t like all the censoring they do on Instagram, so I’ve just become a bit disenchanted with how it works.
I will eventually start posting there again more regularly.
Thanks for asking about that, I really appreciate you asking ♥
Beautiful, rich, elegant setting. Those cottages look cozy and peaceful.
I always enjoy looking at the details for inspiration.
Is that seafoam green ultrasuede table topper?
Do you wash your magnolia leaves – they are gorgeous!
Thanks, Teresa! No, it’s a velvet or velveteen tablecloth I picked up A Classy Flea many years ago. I used to have it on my round bedside table and on that table, it reaches all the way to the floor. It’s 90 inches round in size.
The lighting was not the best for these photos but in person, it’s a sage green color. I need to invest in more tablecloths, have trouble finding ones I really like. I just recently ordered a tartan one from Williams Sonoma that’s also 90 inches round, so it will work for this table here in the breakfast room.
I don’t normally wash my magnolia leaves, I just try to cut branches that have clean-looking leaves. Every year, around this time, there are branches that stick way out into the walkway and driveway, so it’s the perfect time to trim some of those back a bit, then I use them for decorating or in table settings.
Love ALL of it, especially the branchware utensils. So clever. I’m trying to find this pattern (Holiday Bough by Barraveld)and would LOVE to buy this from anyone who would want to sell theirs. I can’t find it anywhere. I also can’t include a picture. It’s white with holly and leaves. Thought I’d ask. You never know. Thank you, either way. LOVE ALL you do.
Thanks so much, Rita! Did Replacements have any pieces…it looks like they have it listed on their site: https://www.replacements.com/china-barreveld-holiday-bough/c/408141
Also spotted a few pieces here: https://faireliving.com/products/english-ivy-bowl?pr_prod_strat=collection_fallback&pr_rec_pid=6098451464381&pr_ref_pid=6200263180477&pr_seq=uniform
I hope you are able to locate it, it’s a beautiful pattern!
Very pretty. I can see why you love the dishes so much. Love the trees too.
Thanks, Kathleen!
What a beautiful table! I really love these dishes. I almost bought a set from Walmart but I already have Christmas china. 🙁 So glad you got the green chargers. They really enhance the dishes. Happy Thanksgiving!
Really enjoy this table setting. Keep on keeping on, Susan. Your blogs are a bright spot in my day.
Very nice pattern for the holidays. Reminds me of Friendly Village that has been around a long time. Yours has more white in it and is lighter and brighter than FV. I worked several years at Belk selling china, crystal and silver and acquired a lot of china. My main china is Cuckoo, a now-discontinued Williamsburg pattern by Wedgwood. Downsizing is in my future because I only have 1 son and he and his wife are not interested in fancy tableware.
Susan, you did a beautiful winter tablescape! Everything coordinates. The centerpiece is perfect for a winter table. I can imagine Christmas Eve at this table with a wonderful dinner. Thanks for sharing.
SUSAN!!!! IT IS JUST…THE BEST!! Think I “startled” my hubs, though. I just LUV, LUV, LUV the entire vignette!!!!!! Well Done!! franki
Susan, that is beautiful together – the plates, chargers (good decision, great additions to your inventory), and your glassware and other elements. I love magnolia too. We’ll be going to my husband’s sister’s. Will you be heading to Ohio? Have a great start of the holiday season, wherever you celebrate it.
I’m glad you bought the green chargers, $20 apiece is really not that crazy expensive. I love the twig flatware, it’s perfect. Your table is beautiful and elegant, I love it! Thanks for another beautiful Tablescape Thursday.
I agree with all these comments..I love your table setting here! One of my favorites!! I never comment, but I couldn’t resist today! The dishes remind me of the Better Homes and Gardens dishes that I have been buying for years since I saw them on your blog. Hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving!
What a gorgeous table! And those chargers with the beautiful plates…I’m in LOVE. The magnolia bows are perfect; adding a layer of texture. And the mercury trees ties it all together. I think this might be my new favorite tablescape.
Than you for sharing this lovely dispaly. The dishes are gorgeous.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING
Joan, Marion and Marilyn
Smart move getting the green chargers too. I love how they pop the green of the evergreen on the dinner plate. Hugs!
❤️ this, and the touch of blue is fabulous!!! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones.
Happy Thanksgiving Susan. I love your new plates and chargers. Do you usually buy settings for 4 or 8? Will you be cooking next Thursday?
I absolutely love your new chargers and Christmas dishes. An absolutely spectacular table! Bravo! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
A beautiful table and the chargers are perfect with those plates.
